There wil be more pap opportunities shortly as apparently, Gosling is now 'dating' Olivia Wilde who is visiting him in town and they were spotted together at an aquarium together. I thought I saw something on one of the the links that Gosling he was there with the co-star and it was very well pap covered. Who knows? But you know the press will be on the lookout for them now.

I don't know if that's her. There's a woman with brown hair. There are ALOT of woman with brown hair. And she's standing right in the middle of everything. She's also standing next to another woman (with a cap on) with brown hair, that , theoretically, could also be her. I think if she was on set, she would be off to the side a little, probably sitting in a chair. George looks like he's in conversaton with Ryan. If she were there, don't you think that whoever took this pic, if it was her, would take one of her front also?

I said this in the "Dinner" thread, and I'll say it hear too - until I see a picture of her - from the front, non-blurry and so obscure that you can't really tell who is in the pic - I don't believe it. I do think she'll show up at some point, but for whatever reason, I don't believe she has yet.
All these pics on the set, and his girlfriend shows up, yet not ONE picture? From anyone, the news, twitter, etc.? Doesn't make sense. Has anyone reported - except for the waitress or whoever it was that took the Dinner thread pic - that she was there?

George Clooney and Ryan Gosling were back together on the Cinncinnati set of The Ides of March yesterday. The two actors have been working hard on the project for the last few weeks, but they've had enough free time to explore their temporary home city. Ryan especially has been seeing the sights with his visit to the local zoo with costar Evan Rachel Wood. It was another actress who kept him company on a visit to the acquarium, though — his day date with Olivia Wilde has fans wondering whether or not they're Hollywood's hottest new couple. George apparently isn't wanting for female company either, as his lady friend Elisabetta Canalis joined him for a recent visit to his Kentucky hometown.

George Clooney: Handsome On The Set

Reporting for duty, George Clooney was spotted on the set of his new movie “Ides of March” in Oxford, Ohio today (March 3).

The “Ocean’s Eleven” actor donned a dark suite and tie ensemble as he carried a coffee past a swarm of shutterbugs.

George has been working on the new project this week along with costars Ryan Gosling and Evan Rachel Wood.

Hundreds of students from the nearby Miami University have also congregated to be considered as extras for the production.

LOL, Lucy, I was going to ask earlier in the day if anyone could read the return and main address, but was afraid to ask. Good thought of it being a prop!

Sony Sets Release Date for George Clooney's 'The Ides of March'
8:20 PM 3/3/2011

Clooney is directing and starring in the political thriller based on the play "Farragut North," with a cast that includes Ryan Gosling and Paul Giamatti.
Looking ahead to next awards season, Sony has set George Clooney’s The Ides of March to open Oct. 14.
Clooney has begun shooting the political thriller, which is based on Beau Willimon’s play Farragut North. He also stars in the film, opposite Ryan Gosling, Paul Giamatti, Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood.
Clooney and longtime producing partner Grant Heslov penned the adapted screenplay.
When picking up North American distribution rights, Sony indicated it would launch Ides of March in a limited run in December, followed by a wide release in January. Instead, Sony decided on October.
Ides of March follows a young press secretary who falls prey to dirty backroom politics as he works to get his candidate elected in a tight race.
Guy East and Nigel Sinclair’s Exclusive Group and Brian Oliver’s Cross Creek Pictures are co-financing and producing the film with Clooney and Heslov, as well as with Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way.
Sony also revealed there is a another Resident Evil in the works. Resident Evil 5 will open in theaters Sept. 14, 2012.

@noodle - it's called a monitor...but it's portable so he can see what the camera is seeing.
LOL about the envelope! my first thought was, "wonder if that's a prop?" but he also has a backpack - don't think that's a prop. And look, aren't those Mother Teresa stamps?? He's such a good boy....
And again, going out with his parents....no Eli? Question

Beware "The Ides of March"!

No, this is not a reference to the famous Shakespearean quote from Julius Caesar, it is however a reference to Clooney, Gosling, and Tomei. Yes, that’s right; I am referring to movie stars George Clooney, Ryan Gosling, and Marissa Tomei who are shooting their newest film “The Ides of March” here in Oxford on Miami’s campus.

The film crews have been on campus all week and of course there have been many star sightings, including girls screaming at the mere sight of Ryan Gosling and people scrambling to get a picture of George Clooney. Scenes for the film have been taped at the Farmer School of Business Building and Hall Auditorium, and people from the Miami Community were invited to be extras in the film. Now, I know Oxford is not the first place that comes to mind when you think of movie sets and A-List Hollywood actors, but this is not the first film to tape scenes on Miami’s beautiful campus. “Little Man Tate” starring Jodie Foster was also filmed here in the 90s.

Now that you have your fun fact I’ll share with you my close encounter with The George Clooney. Yesterday as I was walking back to the office after lunch I was diverted from my regular pathway because the movie crew moved to their location at Hall Auditorium. Since I was a Miami student I knew the easiest way around the closed sidewalk was to go around the library.

As I was walking around the building and chatting with my friend a large black SUV started coming down the one-way street between the library and McGuffey Hall. We thought nothing about it until my friend peeked in the back window and turns to me saying “That’s him!” I thought someone important was in the vehicle but we didn’t know if it actual was him until one of the producers nodded to us with a smile and said “Yes, that’s him!”

There were tons of people waiting on the other side of the building trying to catch a glimpse of George Clooney and here we were just walking back to the office and we were 5 feet away from him. Talk about lucky! My friend froze in her tracks but of course I said “hi” and told him to have fun filming, to which he replied “hi” back, smiled, and gave us the thumbs up.

Then everyone realized he was behind the building not in front and he was whisked away in the blink of an eye. Sadly we were not prepared to take a picture of this once in a lifetime occurrence but we have the memory, and I hope you will be able to create great memories like this at Miami!

Did I mention now there are rumors swirling that Leonardo DiCaprio is here too?! I think I may go on Leo Watch to find out if it is true

Busy day for film extras, but local actor sits idle
Hamilton’s Chris Kramer on call for today’s shoot at MU’s Hall Auditorium.

OXFORD — The day of mass extras on the set of “The Ides of March” turned out to be a day off for Hamilton actor Chris Kramer.

Kramer, an actor whose professional work includes commercials, industrial films and print modeling, also has been a frequent performer in local community theater, most recently with the Mad Anthony Theatre Company in “Kicking a Dead Horse” and “The Drawer Boy.”

Kramer landed several days’ work for “The Ides of March,” including sessions at Lunken Airport, downtown Cincinnati and at the Farmer School of Business at Miami University in Oxford as a television news reporter. He also is on call for today’s shoot at Hall Auditorium.

“It’s really no big deal,” he said. “I’m a featured background extra, and I don’t know if I’ll be seen or not. I might be seen in some of the shots, or I might just be a blur or end up on the cutting room floor.

“Hopefully, I’ll be seen anyway and another director will say, ‘I need that nose!’ ”

He said it’s been fun working with George Clooney, although he hasn’t had much up-close time with him. The only direction he’s had from him is, “Act natural.”

“George never quits smiling,” Kramer noted.

In one scene, he got to “stick a microphone in Ryan Gosling’s face.”

When he was faking stand-ups in front of the Farmer School of Business, Kramer said he started out actually ad-libbed his “report” to make it look realistic, but an assistant director told him to just mime it because the microphone 50 feet away was picking him up.

Kramer also has done work in independent films and once played Virginia Madsen’s obstetrician in the 2003 film “Artworks,” which he said plays occasionally on the Lifetime cable television network, where he delivered her character’s still-born baby.

His next theater performance will be in the upcoming La Comedia Dinner Theatre production of “Hairspray” in which he will play Tracy Turnblad’s father. It opens April 28.

Film extras spend the day starstruck
Hall Auditorium at Miami University is film location for movie featuring George Clooney

OXFORD — The prevailing feeling, particularly among the female extras participating in the filming of “The Ides of March,” is “Who wouldn’t want to spend a day hanging out with George Clooney?”

For many Oxford residents and Miami University students, it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to appear in a major motion picture — or at least participate in the filming of one.

More than 700 extras were on hand Thursday as production crews filmed a debate scene in Hall Auditorium where Clooney, playing Democratic presidential candidate Mike Morris, squared off against his primary rival, played by Michael Mantell.

Extras got their instructions the night before the shoot. They were told to bring three to five changes of clothing ranging in style from jeans and khakis to business attire and to show up at Millet Hall parking lot, where they went through a wardrobe check and got on buses to take them to Hall Auditorium, where the filming was taking place.

At Hall Auditorium, the extras lined up and filed into the seats, filling the orchestra level and most of the balcony.

“He brought his sense of humor with him,” said Katie Hurley, a Miami sophomore from Columbus, “and he talked to us a lot.”

Hurley said he walked onto the stage saying “random stuff” such as, “Hi, I’m George. I’m a tourist and I like the color magenta.”

Travis Lepera, a senior sociology major, said Clooney made a few references to Green Beer Day — which also occurred Thursday — at one point acting like he was drunk.

“He said that Miami students were responsible for getting his crew drunk,” Lepera said. “He was very down-to-earth and made it a fun experience for everyone.”

The audience was divided according to their birthday as to who they were to support in the debate. January through May were assigned to Clooney, the rest to the opposition.

“We were supposed to nod our head or lean over and talk silently to our neighbor when our candidate made a good point,” Hurley said.

Hurley said they did several takes, at first shooting the audience from the front of the stage and gradually working their way to the back of the auditorium.

The extras who could not commit to shooting on Friday — including Hurley — were released from the set around noon, but other extras expected to be working until late in the evening.

Filming is expected to continue today and then the production moves to the Detroit area, according to unit publicist Tracy Schaefer.
