George Clooney celebrated his big 50th birthday with a few of his closest A-list friends last night at Beverly Hills hotspot, Mr. Chow. Dancing With The Stars contestant Kirstie Alley came for the milestone birthday along with the super funny, Kathy Griffin. Ray Romano also arrived with former co-star Brad Garnett and made their way into their pal’s birthday dinner.

[insert eye roll!] Looks like OK is just extrapolating from the tweets to make up their own story. There's nothing that says George invited these people to a birthday party, but I guess "they were all at the restaurant at the same time" isn't a very good story for the mag, eh?!

Didn't Sarah Larson give an interview on Etv! Extra or don't remember and after that it was over? George had her at his BD in 2008, it was told he proposed to her around that day and weeks later they split

Is the really over the edge looney GW? I thought she had gone away or had been taken away. George's birthday has been the swan song for a couple of girls. The next couple of weeks could be interesting. He sure is getting lots of attention for this birthday, he will probably be asked questions about it if he does some interviews for his movies coming out later in the year.

I would think that George (and his people) know all about IMDB and any/all nutters out there online or try to contact him by other means. There has to be a reason why he has such public security when in Italy and when in LA (which is more subtle as his security endeavours to go unnoticed) when it's most likely that no-one would know in advance his movements, he is not on a film set and is just going about his life. If there weren't issues, why would he have the security in place? Although I am still stunned that he doesn't live in a gated community.

I would bet at least $1 million that he has had to put restraining orders in place against whackjobs that became obsessed with him some time over the past 20 years since he has been famous. I mean, if Paris Hilton has had stalkers, George would have easily had to have dealt with that type of attention. I think he is just better at keeping it quiet so he doesn't have to deal with press questions about it and also to stop the nutters gaining attention and notoreity through the media coverage therefore encouraging more nutters. That stops the nutters trying to get their own 15 minutes of fame and also using the coverage to vie for his attention in a more public manner. I mean, he has been around famous people all his life - he knows how to handle these things quietly and in a manner that protects himself, his family and friends.

Any reasonable professional in his industry would be dumb not to know of and about any person who appears overly obsessed and could possibly be unbalanced and delusional. Otherwise, you are just a sitting duck when these people escalate their behaviour. And there is always someone who will escalate from fan to someone who wants to cause you harm because you don't behave the way they demand of you within their delusion.

Oh poor Eli, no guy wants to flirt with her anymore. Tssss.

Went to IMDb in the wee am, and was surprised the poster I was talking about just yesterday had a new thread with 2 comments both by same poster,1st was a threat / insult to our beloved katiedot and her skankcanalis crew (us). Point being what was written made no sense, very paranoid easily upset person.

Watching this vid. makes me realize just how much she is his type.Besides the obvious,it's the flirtatious little girl thing she's got that all of his ex's also have, no matter what their accent.

The project Betty refers to is probably the store that she is going to open in LA. That way she can be both a housewife and a shopgirl. That and going to Mexico regularly to work on her tan. I can't imagine that she has any further acting work lined up in the States where she would be required to both act and speak english at the same time. We saw how badly that worked out for her last time.

Although I still have money on a reality show. Don't know why but I do think it's very likely.

Perfectly said, both of you. People tend to forget how someone who seems to "only have a little obsession" can turn that into a lethal situation when provoked, which can be triggered by some thing (picture) or event known only to the person "radically affected by the object of their obsession".

Just think back to the crazies who have killed as a result of their obsessive delusions about a certain celebrity. It doesn't occur on a regular basis but it has happened and it turned out to be deadly for the "object" of that unhealthy attention. Betty is as much, if not more, of a target than George is right at this point in time, with a certain person who has trouble with blurred lines in reality. Once those lines are "blurred" it's difficult to ascertain where the line is that they "won't cross" and that's when the normal boundaries of society break down and then anything can happen.

George Clooney Is This Week's Most Valuable Partyer!

Leave it to George Clooney to get fellow celebs all a-Twitter over his presence.

The birthday boy, who officially turned 50 yesterday, got the party started early Thursday night during dinner with girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis at famed Bev Hills eatery Mr. Chow.

And fellow starstruck VIPs, including Kirstie Alley and Jackie Collins, took to Twitter to share the Clooney sighting.

So what did they have to say about the still-sexy birthday boy?

Lucky Kirstie got grabby with Clooney. "Happy birthday George Clooney... Great to see u.. Better to hug u," she tweeted.

Jackie, who was dining separately, shared: "Fun dinner at CHOWS. with Kathy Griffin. Spotted George Clooney & beautiful gf Elizabetta. Also Kirsti Alley looking major svelte."

Other celebs dining at Chow's Thursday included Kelly Preston, Brad Garrett and Ray Romano.

The recipient of this week's party foul just so happened to be eating at the exact same place, right next to George.

That's going to girlfriend Elisabetta, who swore to us that there was no party planned for him.

Which might be kind of true...it sounds like all these stars just so happened to be eating at the restaurant, and weren't invited by George himself.

But the least she could have done is tip off our photogs of their dinner plans so we could get a pic of the happy couple leaving the restaurant together, right?

The girlfriend of...could be the name of her reality show? Don't know what it would be about though cause there is no way she would still be with george and do a reality show. What is happening about her store? It seems to have gone quiet, she could have talked about that during her PETA interviews. She sure doesn't have any acting lined up. Thank goodness.

Canalis told E! News today that rather than playing the good genes card actresses seem so found of handing out, she works out "all the time" and that anyone who says otherwise is a big fat (or, you know, thin) liar.

And while we're at it, don't feel bad if you didn't manage to score an invite to the supposed party of the century Canalis was rumored to be throwing in George's honor—she told us no such party (or any party, for that matter) is in the works.

I have come to the conclusion that in spite of what we all wish (for Eli and George to split up) these two are in for the long haul. It is true that they have not been together much but that was because GC was very busy directing and acting in the IOM and Eli discreetly stayed home and spent a week with some girfriends in Cabo (hey, she has the money!) but when GC took a break from work and went to visit family, she was there, meaning he asked her to come (by the way the picture of Eli with gold shoes and a camera in her hands it was Eli as I saw other pictures in Italy where she wearing the same shoes). Same thing for his birthday, small group of people he cares about and Eli was there. I believe GC is more in love with Eli than she is with him. I just came back from a trip to Italy, no articles in any magazines about them except one from Belen Rodriguez who worked with Eli at Sanremo who said, among other things, that the whole troupe was irritated because GC was calling Eli at least 15 times a day while they were all trying to rehearse and had stop and wait for her to get off the phone. On Valentine's day he sent her 2 dozen red roses. GC also met Eli's parents and in Cabo there was also her brother Luigi and girfriend Gabriella. She does not want to bother him while he is working and I believe he appreciates that in a woman. She will always sit at home waiting for him and will shoot short commercials but when GC is back off they go on motorbikes along the coast of California which they both love. Eli never planned a megaparty for GC for his 50th birthday. She knew he would never go for that, he likes small private (close friends only) type to gathering; it was all the gossip columns and she proved them right. It was also GC who pursued Eli when he was still with Larson; he was totally taken by her, stalked her whille she was filming in NY...and the meeting in Rome when he finally met her for the first time was arranged by him. I think he is head over heels in love with her and because nobody likes her they decided to keep a low profile.

So does anyone know how the birthday boy spent his day/weekend? I guess we can imagine how we would have liked to help him spend it. (big smile)

There seems to be a online war going on between the Clooney posters and websites. So many websites have come and gone in the past 3 years. I have the feeling that it is the same people setting up these sites, the same people posting and commenting over and over again, First, opining one way using one name and then posting an opposite opinion using another name.

I've been on 4 Clooney websites...By George, Clooneyfiles, Clooney Project/Unlimited and here....all set up by different people but of course many of us posters have migrated from site to site and will post our opinions on each site if no-one posted there wouldn't be any point of the site would there?

It was not “love at first sight” at all. Their love history goes back to 2007.
The person who declared this is Alessandro Siano, an actor who met Canalis in 2006 when he worked with her in the movie “Christmas in New York” and subsequently again in the movie “You never forget the first time”. In an interview with the magazine ECCO, Siani said:

Their love relationship goes back a long time. It started at the time when I was working with her in the movie "You never forget the first time" that he (Clooney) began to follow her.

Siani was always driving Canalis back to the hotel at the end of their working day when they started to notice the same car parked close to the building and a feeling of being watched and observed. Then the same car started to follow us day after day so I finally decided to face this person and that is when I noticed that the guy driving the car was George Clooney.

Siano ends the interview stating:

I haven’t seen Canalis in this period because I am doing a lot of things but I am pretty sure that there is something between them. I really think that they even kissed.

The media does take things to the extreme, one does not know what to believe. I think it is E that does So true, so false - and who knows if that is factual or not.

Like I said earlier, when George dates a girl she turns into a supermodel instantly. I know this is the media's take and are probably just trying to suck up to George but it does get a little old.

You're right Katie, about the supermodel statement. In fact, on camera with Tim Hutton, she stated that she was NOT a model. Funny, that's what she primarily does. So, even when we hear her and see her speak the words, she doesn't tell the truth much.

Well, according to IMDb, they were in New York in 2006 filming, as the film was released on 12-15-06. So, he either has his years mixed up, or I don't think it happened. He also mentioned "You Never Forget The First Time". That was filmed only in Italy and released in 2008. Virgin Territory was also filmed only in Italy in 2007.

I'm a bit skeptical on the whole 15 calls a day claim,and hears why, during that time (SR) George was directing, co-staring,and co-producing a film when would the man find the time to stay glued to the phone? The stalking in NY, well I've never heard or seen George driving a car in NY, plus when dating SL their time in NY was spent filming BAR,so again when did he find the time to stalk bettabuns?Why did it take him over a year after his break-up with SL to arrange that meeting with his stalking victim(b.b)?

I already replied to your question but I think I may have lost it while trying to post it because I don't see it. Anyway, the witness of Clooney stalking Eli back in 2007 was reported by fellow actor Alessandro Siani (a Neapolitan actor who worked with Eli in several movies since 2006) during the shooting of the movie "It is always better the first time".

In an interview to ECCO magazine, Siani said that after each day of shooting he would drive Eli back to her hotel when they started noticing a car that would follow them and park near the building plus a feeling of being constantly watched. After several days Siani finally decided to confront the driver of this car who was no other than George Clooney.

The article in ECCO magazine was released in August 2009 but according to Siani, Clooney-Canalis became a couple in 2007 but it had not been released yet to the press. This story is very well known in Italy. I live here but I grew up in Italy and visit often so I knew about it.

I've lurked on 3, but only commented on one as lucy. Alot of the sites where people are making ugly comments aren't Clooney sites,at least the ones I've visited.

The "detailed info" comes from gossip websites and gossip articles. Nothing Socimar said can't be read somewhere or implied from a gossip article. Where are the pics of EC wearing gold sneakers in Italy? She's been "around" for almost 2 years and never saw her wearing gold sneakers nor in any old photos.
