Working every few months, buying those Prada bags and taking your clothes off for PETA...poor little thing must be so stressed! She has never looked that happy with George seems far happier with her own friends.

I noticed in pics of bettabuns at Gelsons,papped pics, so assuming not photoshopped, when you hit the zoom option you can really she her very bumpy skin(face) it surprised me,because all of her pics lately (natural shots) her skin looks smooth and clear. MY point being, is it only showing in close ups, is it the lighting, and with her money why not see a dermatologist on a weekly basis and get it cleared up?

Peta, Peta, were are you!! Betty's Prada bags that she uses even for simple grocery shopping gives you an idea how much she cares (very little) about animal welfare. The only animal friendly accessory here are her beach flip flops. Did anyone explain to her (before she bared it all for Peta) that leather (and this includes all her Pradas - dozens and dozens of them) is a no-no as they use animal hides????? Toss the bags Betty. In Italy they have great designers who do not use leather (see Gherardini and Borbonese). Everyone in Italy was wearing them.

Because she's a "natural beauty" and has no flaws...

Lucy, I noticed too that she has bumps on her face and a blemish near her lip. Apparently she's not wearing make up. The miracle of makeup!

Need help here. Its been a LONG time since I've been to Los Angeles and visiting friends "in the Valley". I was taken to the Gelsons. But, I don't recall other retail stores around it. Look at the line of stores in the background of this photo in this particular link. Anyone know if this is really the Gelsons in Studio City like it says. I did a google and there are 2 or 3 in the Hollywood - West Hollywood area that she's been papped before. So just wondering? Or, am I just not remembering correctly? Thanks in advance.

I had decided to send my friends the photo link after I had posted the above. Heard back from them today. They said the strip mall stores are across the street. They think EC must have parked way at the far end of the parking lot for them to show up in the photo.

Melbert you crack me up, as far as the publics reaction to all things betta, I don't think things have gone the way she might have expected. That's what you get for trying to make a career selling herself when the only talent you have to sell is limited. Plus it doesn't sound as if her own country is thrilled with her.

Cameron is right there at 40, but she is well liked in comparison to betta. From what I've been reading on lots of sites since the PETA shoot, betta doesn't have many fans, other than the few who comment she's hot. Unfair, I don't think it's just cause she's dating GC that she has this dislike backlash, but because people are not stupid and are tired of all these famewhores trying to become rich selling what? At least have some talent, act,sing,dance, something!

What's that saying - delusions of grandeur? OK, she's not butt-ugly, her body isn't totally grotesque, but then she speaks and all goes to hell. I kinda don't think they asked her. They saw two pics with side boob showing, and had to do a comparison. Once pics are out there, mags, tabloid shows, etc., take them and run the hell out of them.

Part of Betty's problem is that she was a big fish in a small pond in Italy but in the States, she is just another famewhore. Who she dates gets her a little bit of attention but not enough to be the main draw in LA. Which I don't think she counted on when she decided to move to LA. She thought they would all be so thrilled by her presence that she would be fighting them off with a stick. She got one job offered to her on a silver platter (courtesy of george) and that was it. She had to earn any further jobs with talent or at least hard work and we have seen how that has turned out for her. She didn't move to LA for the quiet life with no press intrusion or no regular work.

To the general US public, she is irrelevant. She doesn't have a reality show. She isn't the lead model in a major campaign in the States. She isn't on TV every week. People don't see her and therefore don't miss her. And I bet her ego is taking a battering hence why she always seems to turn up in a pap friendly location when she hasn't had any coverage for weeks.

Think you've got that right watching, I bet she has gotten lots of ego stroking from people George has introduced her to, but must be disappointed by the general publics reaction to her skills. The old don't listen to them babe their just jealous probably gets old after awhile.

She has stated herself that people are jealous of her. Maybe the handholding and whatever else with George, but I can honestly say that I'm not jealous of her lifestyle. I have worked my whole life (well since I was 12) to get what I've got. Now, I admit, I don't have alot, but I've got my dignity. Not too many people laugh behind my back. To my face, yes. But, I'm proud of what I have accomplished without the help of a sugar-daddy. I raised my son by myself (no child support) and I get my jobs on my own merit, not somebody opening any doors for me. OK, I'll stop.

The big problem she has is her major lack of talent and her seemingly delusional belief that unlike other actresses she doesn't need any classes. George got her the role on Leverage and looked what happened their. She doesn't want to work at things she wants it handed too her. George hasn't worked out like she thought it would I really think she thought she would get him down the aisle at one stage but of course she didn't understand George's aversion to marriage. Now it looks like things are pretty much off with George, she has no career in the States so she only has the pap stuff to keep her going. Of course what they really want is a picture of her with George that must get to her. But she wants to be famous! Most of us work hard for what ever we have it means we appreciate it. Eli is on a roundabout going from one rich guy to another one day it will stop. Her body is her only assest and it won't last forever. She needs a rich husband and George isn't it.

Dexterdidit, I think that's the biggest problem for her, it's hard for me to respect her because I don't feel she's accomplished much. No I don't hate her, or am I jealous, there are times I find myself feeling sorry for her because of some of the cruel things that are said on the internet.What has she done to learn her craft, to take the opportunities that have been given to her and do something with them besides depending on her looks and body to get her through.She keeps getting these hosting gigs, but never improves, same with roles in films or TV,there doesn't seem to be any improvement. That's why I'm not impressed with her.

UPDATE: a couple of forum-users emailed PETA to complain about their using Betty when she wears fur. All of them got the same standard reply from PETA which is as follows:

Thank you for contacting us regarding our anti-fur ad starring Elizabeth Canalis.

The furry looking sweater that Ms. Canalis wore in 2009 is faux fur. Ms. Canalis is adamantly anti-fur and has never worn it.

It was a coat she wore not a sweater and I wrote to them too and got the same response. They ignored the bit about her working for Cavalli who uses fur and her love of all things leather. I just deleted mine just reaffirms why I dont support PETA plenty of other organisations that help animals that aren't so hypocritical.

Ladies, ladies!! are we not missing the most important point of this article here??? The picture which I think we must pay most attention to is the hair all-over the face......that's how she should stay...covered up so everyone can forget who she is!!! I have already! Who was I taking about????...

Totally agree.....I think it's so transparent to everyone except her. It's like she thinks she's dealing with two-year olds......tell them one thing.....ooops, that didn't work......I'll tell them the opposite and they'll forget what I said the first time. Now she's jumped on the Peta bandwagon, so that everyone will think she's genuine, and yet she won't give up her coats, bags, shoes, pants, etc... People see through this, and I don't think she gets that...

Yesss, she needs to improve. And she looks very miserably in those pictures.

The Studio City Gelson's IS the place to shop if you're a celebrity and live in Studio City. The fact that she has to pass a VONS which is closer to George's house to get to the Gelson's is irrelevant.

According to another thread here George is in England for only about two weeks. He'll be filming most of the time he's there. No time for sight-seeing, so why should she go?

He'll probably travel to Como from England and she'll meet him there.

They'll spend the summer in Como (unless he plans to film another project over the summer). Same old shit different day.

Now that's all just my opinion.

As to why she decided to play hide-and-seek with the photographer? Who the hell knows and why do we care?

The hidey face thing is partly due to the wind. Going to the shop, the wind blows her hair off her face. Coming back from the shop, the wind is blowing it back onto her face.

Anyone with long hair and no hair band to hand will have done the same thing in their lives.
