Above is picture of my daughters birthday cake - she turns 7 tomorrow and tonight we are surprising her with a (pre birthday) birthday party at a restaurant.  She has no idea she is going out tonight or that she has this cake so hopefully it will make her week if not year.  Sure to earn lots of brownie points I hope.

ps: the most annoying thing about having this earworm is that as I've been going round the office humming it (I'm friendly that way) the office junior keeps asking me if that's the theme to Mission Impossible or Star Wars!

Joanna, yes I went already. The concert was on Monday 3rd it was really amazing. (Sorry I didn't mention it before I had to attend a fair the same week until today. Kept me bit busy.)

The concert was great. I think it was sold out    (17 000 people). Really amazing he sounds live the same like on CD. It was a great live concert. Below three videos from that concert on Monday somebody posted it on youtube. I loved the song Moonlight live. Enjoy....

My daughter was surprised, loved her cake and had a great night. Got spoiled by one of her Aunties who came to dinner with us. Its her actual birthday today, so all of us are waiting now for Sleeping Beauty to wake up so she can open her birthday presents.

Speaking of cake wrecks Katiedot, has anyone ever tried to slice up a barbie doll cake, not that easy, at the moment poor Barbie has most of the back of her dress all cut up and she is about to topple over. Yummy choc/caramel mud.

Gotta go, she just woke up....

Oh Joanna, your DIL is very talented! That cake looks like so very colorful and very happy for a birthday cake.   

@the minis...that was such a beautiful cake that your had made for your daughter, my granddaughter would have LOVED that cake! She and my grandson stayed overnight this weekend and she brought her Barbie castle and some of her dolls but really didn't have the time to play with them much...her nonna kept her too busy doing other fun things.   

@Lighterside - other than clothes every present given to her from us and family was Barbie related, my house has never looked so pink. As Im writing this her Barbie castle is still set up on my dining table, next to the Barbie pool, the Barbie playset and Barbie Caravan. Our 4 year old son is having the time of his life playing with his sisters stuff - he puts Barbie in his macho toy cars and takes them around the house with him - he has also stripped 3 of her dolls much to her annoyance!!

On another note entirely, I just saw the Lego movie (I was going to see Monuments Men then saw Lego was on, so . . . ) and I've got to say I've just discovered how much I like watching English films with french subtitles! 'To the Batmobile' just sounds way cooler in French: "a la batmobile".

Disappointed that "avast there me hearties" only translated as "halte". One can only assume that French pirates aren't as colourful as English speaking ones.

My bad, I meant this weekend he will be with me.

Well he's only 4 so will save that conversation till later lol. I don't think my daughter would mind except he keeps losing Barbies shoes and that is starting to really irritate her.

It's Absolutely Brilliant !! So light and easy to use, no cord trailing around. I popped it on the sofa to empty as I have a back problem which makes bending very difficult.

Well there I am sound asleep, when I hear the weirdest and a tad scary noise, very loud too - something has just crashed to the floor in my bedroom. Turn on the light and to my horror George Clooney fell off my wall (technically the door to my walk in robe) - yep after many years of hanging their perfectly fine, and me giving him a wink before I fall asleep at night (ha) he has decided enough is enough and would rather lay in a crumpled heap.

Does not bode well - you heard it here first ladies - hes well and truly off the market - why else would he jump off my wall? (I did suspect sabotage but hubby wouldn't dare).

Oh, you're not alone, Themi. Wasn't it Cindy Crawford who found George in a crumpled heap on one of her beds? You're in good company.....

HA HA sadly he didn't quite make it to my bed, but hey I'll take crumpled heap on the floor any day

I want pink vacuum cleaner! For kitchen and little cleaning.

I have Electrolux Trilobite (robotic vacuum cleaner) I would not recommended at all. It gets stuck, hardly finds the battery to reaload itself, can´t handle dog fur. Basically you have to clean before you use it and have no furniture. What a waste of money!

At the moment I use brush and broom, manual and accurate   

I got a robot vac, a round disk you just put on the floor and it works by itself.

I always turn it on as I leave the house to go away, and it does a great job. Bit of a problem finding it when I get back, it can wedge itself in funny places. They really work and do a brill job.

I'm delighted with my Pink Panther !
I did the floors in conservatory, kitchen, hall, downstairs loo and good sized lounge yesterday in less than 15 minutes.
But the good thing is because it's light and easy to use it didn't cause my poor back any problems.

PS....it also comes in manly dark grey for the chaps in the house !!
