I don't remember saying that either. I have no idea why she chose to go to the dinner instead of her friends wedding, only Stacy knows why she went.

She probably wanted to invest in her countries future. She did pay $40,000 for that priviledge, did she not? Perhaps only the fundraising ledgers will tell the truth. flower

Response to the US Weekly article which I find some of Stacy's interview answers ridiculous and she sounds empty headed.

1- She now calls it "Our HOuse" , so I guess they are living together.
2- "We raised" As an active member of the Democratic Party in my area I didn't know she is is now significant in the Democratic Party and the Obama Campaign.
3- Calling the President of the United States, Obama, like they are buddies now who work out together.
4- She was the only one who showed up at 5:30 in the morning to watch a basketball game and no other spouse or girlfriend was mentioned that showed up to watch. I wonder what the President thinks about that. I guess George needs his own fan base to watch or no other spouse is crazy to get up then

5-Also, you miss you girlfriends wedding, so you can get your name in the gossip sites- sad. _ This is just response to other things on twitter that she missed her friends wedding.

[From US Weekly
“I got to watch them play basketball,” Keibler, 32, told Us. “It was something I’ll never forget.”

Adding that she “was a cheerleader on the side,” the actress says she lucked out and ended up not having to choose who to root for.

Explained Keibler, “George and Obama were on the same team, so they both [won] . . .It made it easy!”

Clooney’s Thursday fundraiser is said to have raked in an estimated $15 million for Obama, who made headlines this week with his public support for the legalization of gay marriage.

“We raised a lot of money because everybody loves George,” the Commander-in-Chief, 50, told the crowd of his actor pal. “They like me, they love him. And rightfully so.”

I may be wrong but as far as I can tell this was a friend, not a BEST friend that got married. And unless I've missed something not even close enough to be in her wedding, just a guest. I think she made the right decision by choosing what could be a once in a lifetime chance to spend the evening with the President of the United States.

Again, it's probably the tabloids inventing stuff. Do we really beleive she ditched her friend's wedding at the very last minute when she had the dates of the Obama dinner quite a few weeks ago?

No.

If she even was invited to the wedding, she'd been able to decline quite a while ago and I don't think any friend would begrudge her that.

As for the 'she can just hop on a private jet' idea, that's pretty funny. You're talking maybe tens of thousands of dollars. She doesn't have a private jet just sitting around waiting for her.

Neither does George for that matter although he does sometimes hire one (or be given the use of one).

SK does not own her own private jet, no, LOL. However considering the thousands of dollars worth of publicity to both G&SK if she attended both events, I cannot believe that one would not be made available to her. I have friends and relatives who own and fly small private planes, and in this economy they would have been more than glad to accommodate for a fairly reasonable cost and the free publicity. On a different thread there was a discussion of G flying in a fling from England on a private plane; Northern CA is a lot closer to Southern CA.

Ok now you know i am not a stacy keibler fan, but if she was a n old friend, a good friend, and knowing the clock is ticking on this relationship, and my good friend had a chance to experience what stacy did, i wwould make her skip my wedding, hell i would uninvite her so she could go to this dinner. George just needed to tell her in advance no talking, no tweeting about this. Come on he had to know she would say something stupid. She says so many i vote we start calling them stacyisms!!

She was briefly on extra tonight at the revlon walk and didn't say anything about "our house". Mario even referred to the event being at her boyfriends house. You never truly know what anyone says by media reporting unless its on video.

On E! tonight, there was a video. Stacy DID say "our house" when referring to the dinner. The quote was correct.

I absolutely believe she knew what she was saying. I absolutely believe that there is no "our house." George has his home and she has hers. She may or may not stay over at his home. I doubt that he stays at hers.

Maybe George is ready for a live-in GF, if so her mom may just be staying as a guest at her daughters BF's house. They could be living together with no marriage plans? Instead of till divorce do we part, it's till we no longer want to be roommates/housemates.Find it strange that the our house comment was just her.

Wow, "our house" has an eerily deja vu sound to it like "I would never be with a man who would not want to eventually marry." Oops, famous last words leading to exit stage right. Comfy with the GF is not George's style if you are paying attention even in the slightest. Arm candy. Think arm candy and you understand what is really going on. Not cynical. Just perfect track record.

That one's a tough one to find out for sure as donations for events are not treated the same way as personal donations with the Federal Election Committee. I tried to ask around who paid for the event, but couldn't find anyone willing to say for sure. But she hasn't donated her personal legal amount for President Obama before either in 2008 or now.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

George has donated though. So I would say he bought the ticket since she hasn't shown any interest at all before.

Yes, she does feel comfortable saying this. She's been around the business long enough to know she would be quoted so she wouldn't say anything to cause problems with George.

I don't buy that George doesn't care what she says about him or that he doesn't tell his GF's what they can and can't say, do or can't do. I believe there have been at least some guidelines laid out by George - whether spoken or written.

It's like George sees them, asks them to have dinner or drinks and then they're his exclusive girlfriend - no dating other men until he drops them. Probably one of the reasons I have such a difficult time believing in the Canalis and now Keibler fairy tale - wasn't around George blogs for anyone else.

Even when Elisabetta dated George, her friends referred to George's house as their home saying there were pictures of them all over the place. Same as Keibler we saw pictures of her in his house. He seems to have a pattern.

Don't a lot of people comment how much George works to make everyone around him "comfortable" ? I don't have a problem believing that he'll do just the same for every GF and that he'll just make sure they ease into his life / around his things (who wouldn't like that ?). He likes to make people happy after all. I suppose maybe just maybe that's why those girls get confused sometimes, and either start believing, or at least get close enough to think everything's shared. Seriously I just feel for them sometimes, because he seems to be able to take it back the next moment. JMO ; )

Hope this is not posted elsewhere; if so please 86 it. Also can't copy great SK pics.

Stacy Keibler was a “cheerleader” during Obama & Clooney’s b-ball game

Stacy Keibler was at yesterday’s Revlon Walk-Run event in LA. Other celebrities included in the event: Halle Berry, Mario Lopez, Matthew Morrison and Matt Bomer. Stacy not only participated in the event – she was invited onto the dais and she ended up standing right beside (and embracing) Halle Berry, the hostess of the event. Does Stacy’s inclusion mean that she’s “arrived”? Ugh. I don’t want to answer that question, because I would be forced to admit that Stacy seems to be becoming more and more of a “B-list celebrity” in her own right. Like, when George dumps her, I’m starting to get the feeling that Stacy won’t be completely Sarah Larson’d – Stacy won’t crawl into some dark cave, never to be heard from again. I feel like she’s aiming for a post-Clooney C-list celebrity status in which she manages to find constant “work” on budget red carpets, as a model for cheap products, and the occasional reality show gig.

Anyway, you know how Stacy was George’s “date” at the big LA fundraiser for Pres. Obama last Thursday? It must be so because Stacy’s publicist managed to get an item into Us Weekly about how Stacy and George were kissing in front of POTUS and junk. Well, Stacy is now authorized to speak about what happened at after the event. Basically, George let his girl off the leash long enough for her to name-drop not only HIS name but the president’s.

That’s one impressive starting lineup! The morning after his $40,000-a-plate fundraiser for President Barack Obama–which he hosted at his L.A. home–George Clooney hit the basketball court with the leader of the free world.

The Ides of March star’s girlfriend Stacy Keibler opened up to Us Weekly Saturday at the 19th Annual EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women about what it was like watching Clooney shoot hoops with the president.

[From Us Weekly]

Yes, Stacy described herself as a cheerleader. She actually was a cheerleader years ago, before she was a lady wrestler and professional girlfriend. Now, I don’t mind that Clooney and Pres. Obama are bros and they played a game of basketball at Clooney’s mansion. That is… acceptable. What I can’t accept is that Stacy was there too, “cheerleading,” and that she was authorized to speak about it. That’s embarrassing… for Clooney AND for Obama.

And yes, that’s her cameltoe. There‘s also an unfortunate seam. *shakes head, gives up*

The ball game wasn't at George's house and I don't understand why it's embarrassing for her to be there or to make a comment when asked about it. She was obviously invited and she didn't go on and on. She made one or two comments when asked about it. I don't think the "our house" was the smartest thing to say, but I don't see how any of it was embarrassing to Pres. Obama.
Not trying to argue, we all have our own take on things, and I like to read all of them (or at least most of them lol). I'm certainly not Team Stacy, but sometimes it just seems like she can't win for losing.

Huh. Unless she wasn't expected to be there and just crashed it as a surprise. LOL. and didn't pay for it and neither he. OOOHHHH. What if. hahahahahaha. another non-ticket holder just walking in. LOL. flower

It is not just possible to "show up" at an event where you are not expected when the President is present. Everyone is accounted for and vetted.

Not entirely true, I know a lot of current, former and retired Secret Service agents, and to a tee none of them were surprised when the White House Dinner crashers crashed the dinner last year or sorry to say about the fiasco in Columbia. Contrary to common belief they don't vet every person attending everything. Kind of impractical, especially with a President who likes to visit Five Guys Burger and Fries, FYI ran in to him there once, and I wasn't vetted. Unless they have psychics who knew I was hankering for a burger. They vet the situation and surroundings, with really cool better than spy movies techniques. I know they have gotten a bad rap lately, but most are just truly amazing courageous people. As always a few bad apples get all the press!! Look some here are already bored with Stacy cause she is dull!

Still bet George paid for Stacy's ticket, and to give more money to President Obama's reelection campaign.

Here's a thought. Instead of bringing his, as people say, 'd' list dates to his, as people say, 'a' list celebrity status, they (the media) should do the reverse and knock him down to, you know, whatever it is his dates do. I think he would fit in much better in the area of public appearances promoting products, attending drinking contests and such, as opposed to his dates mingling with politicians and business people, not to mention academy folk. flower

George Clooney & Stacy Keibler were making out in front of Pres. Obama

George Clooney hosted a fundraiser for the President of the United States last night. Clooney set the scene in his backyard! Clooney served hawt dergs and Britney came over. NO!! It was actually fancier than I’m making it sound. Clooney set up a special tent and Wolfgang Puck catered and all in all, it was the biggest one-night fundraising event in American history. It was $40,000 a plate, and all of the big Hollywood Democrats were there: Barbra Streisand, Robert Downey, Jr., Salma Hayek, Jack Black, Eddie Murphy, Billy Crystal, Barry Diller, Diane Von Furstenberg, Rob Reiner, J.J. Abrams, Tobey Maguire and the mayor of Los Angeles were just some of the guests. Oh, and STACY KEIBLER. Yes, Clooney has not dumped his lady-wrestler. Yet. Stacy was at the event, and Clooney was not ashamed of sharing a little PDA with her:

George Clooney sure knows how to throw a bash fit for the Hollywood — and Washington, D.C. — elite. Hosting a $40,000-a-plate fundraiser for President Barack Obama at his Los Angeles home Thursday, Clooney’s guest of honor spent the evening mingling with the actor and 150 other celebs in an effort to raise funds for his re-election campaign.

Partying in a tent on Clooney’s basketball court, guests including Tobey Maguire, Barbra Streisand, Salma Hayek and Jack Black dined on a menu crafted by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck.

Clooney’s Thursday efforts are said to have raised an estimated $15 million for Obama, who also made news this week when publicly supporting the legalization of gay marriage.

“We raised a lot of money because everybody loves George. They like me, they love him. And rightfully so,” Obama, 50, raved of Clooney, 51. During his 19-minute speech, Obama also mentioned how he saw Shepard Fairey’s 2008 “Hope” poster hanging in Clooney’s home and divulged details of its origin. “People don’t realize that the photograph of me is actually me sitting next to George,” Obama said of the photo that was taken when the duo advocated for Darfur together.

“This is the first time that George Clooney has actually been Photoshopped out of a picture. Never happened before, never happen again,” Obama joked.

Though the actor largely catered to President Obama Thursday, he made sure to tend to his girlfriend, Stacy Keibler, frequently during the event.

“They were holding hands and kissing all night, total couple mode,” an attendee tells Us Weekly of the pair of nearly one year.

[From Us Weekly]

As you may remember, Stacy was a no-show at the Correspondents Dinner two weekends ago – Stacy had even tweeted about a dress fitting for the event, so she was scheduled to come as George’s date, but then Clooney flew solo in DC and everyone was like “Oooh, GIRL, you just got Sarah Larson’d!” George told Politico that Stacy didn’t come because she had to “work”. Cough. So… I’m actually a little bit surprised that Stacy is still around, and that Clooney doesn’t have any problems holding his lady wrestler’s hand in the company of the president.

You can read the transcript of Obama’s remarks at the fundraiser here – he spoke about his position change with gay marriage and there’s some light roasting of Clooney.

Kind of funny that Stacy hangs out with Beth (married to Howard) Stern. When the relationship with Clooney was just starting up, and Stacy was tweeting all that "smiling all day" "luckiest girl in the world" nonsense, Howard had a near daily segment where they read the tweets on air and made fun of how much she sounded like a total airhead (my boyfriend listens to the show EVERY DAY. Sigh.) That's a little awkward.

Missa that is ironic.....the fact that she is hanging out with her now and that Molly is Jimmy Kimmel's girlfriend makes me think that this relationship might last....she is now spending time with his friends significant others.....(I hope she hasn't abandoned her friends through all this though)....

My guess would be that Molly and Beth may have known Stacy through work? Beth was a model, and Molly works in television (behind the scenes). Does George really spend time with Howard Stern and Jimmy Kimmel?

Maybe this is why SK is around those women:

George has been on the Howard Stern Show when he was filming a Perfect Storm

and this thread regarding a party that George went to at Jimmy Kimmels where Howard was at

In this article it states that George and Howard are friends, and that Howard vacations at George's villa in Italy

how do we know the party wasn't a work event? Just because she tweeted about going to an event with other celebrities doesn't mean that she is friends with them. remember all the tweets from the oscars etc about my new best friend. Everytime she sees someone famous she tweets about how great it was to see them. The is the adolescent type of behavior that drives me crazy with Stacy. She is a name dropper plain and simple however we never see Stacy hanging out with any of these people outside a work event. I'm surprised she didn't tweet about president Obama being her new BFF after they had dinner together.
