Re: The Stacy Keibler general thread - part four
I just thought it was funny how Stacy was always in the middle expecting to be interviewed then most ignored her anyway. She is gotten the bighead that all the girls get, she really thinks people want to see her and talk to her but they really want George. The moving in rumour is funny cause it was just a couple of weeks ago that someone revealed that they won't move in together cause Stacy is so independent and both like going back to their own homes. With the pictures in Cabo I find it hard to believe George wants her around that much. We will get baby and engagement rumours maybe sooner cause with the Oscars a couple of weeks away it's a way to keep their name in the press. But everyone knows it isn't going to happen!

Ok so I haven't wanted to be snarky but even Billy Bush who gushes over everyone gave the best dressed compact (which I think is silly in and of itself) to GC and not her. As for the Greece thing....that makes me feel they are in it for a long haul....but then again he did make plans with EC too. I actually don't dislike her, she seems sweet, I just hope she doesn't get hurt.

I would think that if you are the escort/friend/spouse of a star being interviewed, it would be polite and proper to listen very attentively and to "cheat the shot," so that you are looking both at the interviewee and the camera. At the end of the questions you may be asked to comment. Only then should you briefly say something, hopefully both original, clever and supportive.

When she's left off to the side, as we've seen on some other red carpets, she decides to make her own chit-chat with the other reporters. Maybe this is his way of getting her to pipe down while he's talking and to keep an ear on what-all she's saying to the press.

I think Stacy knows her time is limited and needs to grab attention when she can. That is why she tries so hard on the redcarpet to get attention. At least she is smarter than EC was. Stacy just signed with an important talent agency. Sooner or later she won't be dating the most eligible bachlor in the world. I think she could be the one/first girlfriend that will end up successful when he calls it quits.

But think about it - alot of people get ____________ (whatever) because they slept with someone, but its usually done/known behind the scenes/rumored. Cray's was out in the open. Proud to announce she's been a member of SAG from childhood, bit parts and doesn't get signed with a big talent agency until she's 32.I think she could be the one/first girlfriend that will end up successful when he calls it quits.

LOL She is like the modern day Eliza Doolittle. First the physical transformation with hair, make-up, proper dress and now the inner transformation, she reads and answers her twitter followers with words of wisdom. It is happening before our eyes. Go William Morris. change Stacy's image from a lingerie wrestler to a wholesome, smart American girl.

I don't think they are magicians! As soon as she talks she gives away her true level of depth. Between the cleanses, partying and walking someone else's dog where does she find all the time to read and look up the big words. That is right when she is waiting for George to call or her new management. Time will tell how good she does with them the true test is AFTER George. While she is with him she should get something!

Interesting the books she picked, except for the children's book, are self help books. Even the children's books could be seen that way, The Giving Tree and Where the Wild Things Are. A few books about love and success.

The Giving Tree is a classic story by Shel Silverstein about a boy and a tree who loves him. The tree gives the boy everything no matter what the boy asks for. Some say it is a story of unconditional love but others say it is about co-dependency. I can see it both ways.

Both The Giving Tree and Where the Wild Things Are are classic children's books in the U.S. If you haven't read them you should they are good books.
The movie for Where the Wild Things Are is darker and a lot scarier to kids than the book. My daughter and niece didn't like it, but loved the book. This was a scholastic book site and most people picked at least one children's book. Interesting that her books were self-discovery and help books, even the children books.

On Scholastic site, they list some "good" movies as her credits. True Lies, The Firm among them. Checked IMDB and those listed didn't show up. Somebody's padding her resume.

Caught a re-run of E's Fashion Police last nite - I know someone mentioned it earlier and that Joan Rivers said that Cray had an expiration date, but she also said that in 3 months we'd be calling her Elisabetta Canalis!! lol.
You know, I wish I could be more like SCC, in the way that she's only being looked at now because of who she's dating, she's got forums of people trashing her, and yet she still blatantly goes out there, arrogantly thinking that she's worth all of this attention...is she that naive? Or does she want fame so much that she just really doesn't see it?

Bellybaby,
In America those who are controversial often get more pap attention and therefore more money from endorsements and ridiculously high-priced appearance fees than the truly talented. Note the Khardashians, Paris Hilton, the cast of Jersey Shore, etc. It's called "being famous for being famous." There are many times when casting decisions are made based on who is more famous, rather than who is right for the role. That is one of the reasons G tries so hard to promote his projects. His power in Hollywood is increased because he is known world-wide, even if it is for his questionable taste in girls.

I think you're mixing up two things.bellybaby wrote:You know, I wish I could be more like SCC, in the way that she's only being looked at now because of who she's dating, she's got forums of people trashing her, and yet she still blatantly goes out there, arrogantly thinking that she's worth all of this attention...is she that naive? Firstly, I believe it's her ambition to be an actress (or maybe just a celebrity, I don't think she's said) and a big part of her job is being seen by those who matter. Those who matter being casting agents, directors, producers etc. Whether she wants to or not, she HAS to schmooze.
Secondly, given that it's part of her job description to get out there and network, network, network, how do you suppose she's going to do it? Sidling in, head down looking embarrassed, or big fake smile to the fore flashing confidence with every step?
If there was anything to learn from her, it's her skill at appearing confident and happy. I've no idea how she really feels when she's on the red carpet being interviewed but from the very limited experience I have of this, it's terrifying.
Finally, I don't think the 'forums trashing her' means a great deal. I'm not a fan of hers and even I can see that much of the criticism is unwarranted.

IF she gets a big acting job, it will be interesting to really she her acting - than all can decide if big acting job was because she has talent that no one saw before and prevented her from being hired before OR she got big acting job and signed with big agency because she is dating George. I hope this Fri late night talk show guy brings up the signing and the world learns what she expects from WME.

Re: The Stacy Keibler general thread - part four
I don't think WME signed her for acting. 32 is a bit old to become an established actress. I know George did it, but first he's a guy. Second it was a different time. Third even then it was hard and most people don't get that kind of chance. Women in Hollywood generally don't get those kinds of opportunities at 32.
I think they want her for some type of reality and promotional jobs, probably dealing with something sports related. Still think her training on the Biggest Loser is a possibility. Aside from the fact that her advice seems a bit wacky- the girl is good at getting it out in the social media world.
WME handles a lot of different sports related clients. They will still call her an actress, gives her more credibility. But keep in mind they called O.J. Simpson an actor too because of small parts in the Naked Gun movies too.

George became famous and started to become the actor/director/producer/writer he is today at 33 when ER started.
He did not arrive in Hollywood the day before and just land the part of Doug Ross. He had been there taking acting lessons, going to auditions, and working in "bad TV" for TWELVE YEARS before ER came along. He paid his dues, he worked hard, he took jobs because he got them BUT he LEARNT from them.
He did not get ANYTHING because of who he was dating. Even with the name Clooney it still took him 12 years to start achieving what he has today.
cracy has been a SAG member since her childhood, and she's still not known for herself. And she's certainly not known for any acting talent. She's only "known" because she's dating George.

I think Stacy should go for the hosting type gigs you know like E where perky and fawning are a must. I can't believe Stacy would think she can really act and if she hasn't been able to get good gigs by now she won't be. The management can get her foot in the door then it's up to her and I think that is where she will fall flat. Is the Biggest Loser job still going cause that she would be good at! Although doesn't the hostess usually have a backstory where they were once overweight and had to work hard to lose it so they can relate? Stacy doesn't have that bit. This is Stacy's last chance at over 30 she is too old to be a starlet and most people are aware of her already. Guess we will have to wait and see if the job offers suddenly pour in.

I agree Madsky I don't think she was hired with the possibility of becoming a big actress, I think she will get promotional, girl on the sideline interviewing athletes, and maybe a hostess on some gossip show. I think she will come up with something because she knows this is her last chance, and she knows what to do get where she wants. Stacy never had the connections that she has right now. Her clock is ticking she needs to get out there, and she is.

I agree she won't ever become a top notch A-list actress partly because of her age but mostly because she doesn't seem to have the talent for it but that doesn't mean she can't have a successful career in the public eye.

Re: The Stacy Keibler general thread - part four
Charley I agree with you, and I watched a lot of the "bad tv" George Clooney was in. There wasn't a lot to do in my hometown. With the exception of a few things, he was pretty good in them. The first E/R which was a comedy with Elliot Gould and Mary McDonnell was very funny, and that was is 1984. Also loved him in Sisters- him and Sela Ward were great.
He worked hard and he noticeably became a better actor. Plus he must have been enjoyable to work with, because he kept getting more work even when the shows failed. It is a business and no matter how talented you are, if you don't have a hit you usually don't get that many chances.
My point was even if Stacy had acting talent, which I don't believe she has, but in fairness, I haven't really seen enough to say she has no talent, I can't see her working that hard to succeed. Or she wouldn't be taking the girlfriend route to jobs.
Also it is harder than when George did it. The whole industry is less forgiving of failure, and it wasn't like they were that forgiving to begin with. George is also right about women in the industry. They are not seen as being able to carry pictures and fewer opportunities for tv or films and they are younger than their male counterparts. All big problems for Stacy, even if she did have hidden acting talent that no one has seen yet.
Dex I was thinking of the trainer on Biggest Loser that Anna Kornakova left, but her fitness advice and knowledge seems a bit light. Maybe George and his My Fair Lady complex can gloss over that too.

Dex I was thinking of the trainer on Biggest Loser that Anna Kornakova left, but her fitness advice and knowledge seems a bit light. Maybe George and his My Fair Lady complex can gloss over that too.

Re: The Stacy Keibler general thread - part four
Plenty of hosts are big stars Ryan Seacrest does really well out of hosting just about everything. I think Stacy is more interested in being a celebrity and getting attention then a serious type of actress. This could be her last chance and she really is working it. She has managed to get on Jimmy Fallon with little to promote but herself she does need to step it up from the video gaming. Let's see what the new management can get her!
