George Clooney has it trailer made
Published: Today
Add a comment (0) GEORGE CLOONEY snubs the work canteen when he takes a break from filming new movie Gravity.
Instead he sits in a hot tub by the custom-made beach hut he's had installed next to his trailer inside Shepperton Studios.

The Hollywood star is the envy of every extra at the London location.

While they're all hanging about in a Portakabin between shots, George is living a life of luxury.

The tub and hut are in his private landscaped garden and decking area, well away from prying eyes.

A source said: "George has really brought a bit of California to London.

"His private area is amazing and is better than most people's houses.

"Because he's such a big star he can request pretty much whatever he wants and he usually gets it. Scene builders can build anything on a film set - and that goes for facilities for the actors too. It's quite a sight."

George doesn't just lounge around in his pants smoking cigars in his private holiday camp.

He's able to do some exercise too as he's also had a basketball court installed.

But George hasn't had that all to himself. It's on the edge of the studio site and local kids have been trying to sneak in and use it.

It's believed to have cost more than £100,000 to build Clooney's chillout complex. The Oceans 11 actor stars alongside SANDRA BULLOCK in the movie.

She's a regular visitor to his luxurious hangout and takes 16-month-old nipper Louis with her.

The source added: "George lets Louis play on his decking and has a right laugh with him. He is big mates with Sandra, they've known each other for years."

It'll be interesting to see if George invites all the extras over to celebrate the film being wrapped up.

At least he'll have somebody to play basketball with.

Come on is this for real, is this the George Clooney we've heard about all these years? Doesn't sound like the down to earth guy everyone is always talking about, spending that much money for 1 month of filming, maybe this was all for a guest.

That really does sound unlike him, doesn't it? Maybe it was built for him by the production without anyone ever asking him what he wanted?

I can believe the basket ball court bit but as for the rest about him hiding away and not mixing with anyone else? That seems unlikely to me.

I guess he is trying to enjoy every possible moment before he goes to Sudan, I don't think they stay in a comfortable place there... plus, he is trying to aim for privacy, so if he has everything in one place, he doesnt neeed to go anywhere else,. But it doesn't sound like the down to earth GC like Lucy said.

George Clooney and Sandra Bullock in Alfonso Cuaron's 'Gravity' - Page 2 Empty Clooney builds beach hut in Surrey

Post by Guest Sat 11 Jun 2011, 17:41

George Clooney has reportedly had a custom-made beach hut made next to his trailer at the set of his new film in Surrey, England.

The actor is at Shepperton Studios to film the science fiction film 'Gravity', in which he stars alongside Sandra Bullock.

Clooney's retreat is located in a private landscaped garden and includes a hot tub, decking area and basketball court, reports The Sun.

A source told the newspaper: "George has really brought a bit of California to London. His private area is amazing and is better than most people's houses.

"Because he's such a big star he can request pretty much whatever he wants and he usually gets it. Scene builders can build anything on a film set - and that goes for facilities for the actors too. It's quite a sight.

"George lets [Bullock's son] Louis play on his decking and has a right laugh with him. He is big mates with Sandra, they've known each other for years."

George Clooney and Sandra Bullock in Alfonso Cuaron's 'Gravity' - Page 2 Empty "Gravity" with Sandra Bullock

Post by clooneys six Sun 12 Jun 2011, 22:54

Sandy just wrapped filming Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close a few weeks ago in New York City, and George spent the first few months of 2011 directing and starring in The Ides of March. Now they are both back to work shooting Gravity.

The movie recently began filming at Shepperton Studios, with some on location filming taking place in and around London.

On Sunday, Sandra was spotted carrying her son Louis around the set while George snapped photos of the toddler with his iPhone.

Today, Sandra was spotted leaving her trailer on the way to the set with a much shorter hairdo.

According to IMDb, the movie is about “the lone survivor of a space mission to repair the Hubble telescope desperately tries to return to Earth and reunite with her daughter.”

George Clooney spotted in Virginia Water

HOLLYWOOD hunk 'Gorgeous' George Clooney has been making regular visits to a Virginia Water restaurant.

The Ocean's 11 star, 50, is currently filming Gravity at Longcross Studios with Sandra Bullock. But when he gets peckish, he has been making forays to Siam Food Gallery for a taste of the exotic in leafy Surrey.

Clooney, who clearly has a taste for Thai food has visited the restaurant, on Trumps Green Road, seven times over the past few weeks, and despite not visiting in the past few days, the restaurant confirmed a large takeaway order was sent to Longcross Studios in the week.

A spokesman for Siam Food Gallery, which also has a branch in Esher, said the staff there, who are Thai themselves, speak Thai and watch only Thai television channels, so several of the staff didn't recognise the A-lister when he first arrived.

They explained: "[The staff] often struggle with who is famous. So it is possible other famous people come here but they just wouldn't know.

"Even when George came in, one of the waitresses did not know who he was and just went about things normally. When she went to the bar for the drinks order they asked if she knew who he was, she replied she had no idea, they then told her just how famous he is.

"Of course the staff feel so honoured he loves the restaurant."

Ex-James Bond star Pierce Brosnan was recently spotted at the restaurant and eighties singing sensation Billy Ocean also visits when he is in the UK as he owns a house nearby. Ashley and Cheryl Cole, when together, used to frequent the Esher branch.

Unless he went back to London, I just think his name is mentioned because they knew he was there the last 3 weeks. IMHO.

Both tweets don't seem to really say he's back. And, the article could just be rehash of when he was eating there while filming and/or to give the place some fresh headlines. LOL!

Maybe yes maybe not dunno. But IMO until now the movie has been filmed in the studio near London, right? And now we have 1 tweet saying that Sandra Bullock is on the streets of London filming. Maybe George has a scene with her again. As I know the scenes of a movie are not filming in order so he could come & go when Alfonso deems necessary for the film.

From thejc

Mr Aronofsky, 42, is also believed to be working with George Clooney on a sci-fi film about a man who is cryogenically frozen.

Thanks Henway for the find:

From the daily mail

Hollywood dreamboat George Clooney has been keeping a low profile since booking into the five-star Coworth Park hotel near Ascot while shooting sci-fi flick Gravity opposite Sandra Bullock at Shepperton Studios.
But like his fellow star Johnny Depp, who was holed up there three months ago, Clooney has not been completely sustained by the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant, the Mansion House.

While Depp was often to be found in a local pub, Clooney has found solace in pizza joint Piccolino, near Wentworth golf course.

Alas, his star quality has failed to impress fellow diners. ‘He is unbelievably thin,’ says one among the waiting staff.

‘He came here several times. He seemed to like the anonymity. We didn’t find him particularly friendly.

'One night a punter asked him for his autograph and we haven’t seen him since.’

George Clooney and Sandra Bullock in Alfonso Cuaron's 'Gravity' - Page 2 Empty gravity Dated for november 21, 2012

Post by lelacorb Thu 04 Aug 2011, 11:19

Alfonso Cuarón’s 3D Sci-Fi Epic ‘Gravity’ Dated For November 21, 2012

Warner Bros. continues to get bold as it gets its Oscar dance cards in place. 2011 is filled with Stephen Daldry‘s “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close” and Clint Eastwood‘s “J. Edgar” starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Now the studio is eyeing 2012, and surprisingly, has thrown a sci-fi genre picture into Academy contention.

”Children of Men” helmer Alfonso Cuarón‘s 3D sci-fi epic “Gravity” starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock just started filming in June, and WB has already scheduled the film for a November 21, 2012 release date. The move is curious considering early versions of the script, dated late 2009, written by Cuarón, his son Jonás and filmmaker Rodrigo Garcia (”Mother and Child”) displayed a fairly straight-forward action-sci-fi picture, albeit utilizing long stretches of silence. However, considering its lengthy gestating period and its new Oscar-centric date, it’s feasible the the screenplay has gone through a significant overhaul, or there is much more riding beneath the surface than we expected.

“Gravity” ping-ponged through the trades in 2010. Angelina Jolie was first attached and gave the project its forward momentum. She then bailed and actresses from Marion Cotillard, Scarlett Johansson, Blake Lively and Natalie Portman were loosely associated and/or rumored for the role before “The Blind Side” star Sandra Bullock stepped in. The picture seemed to be in jeopardy several times over the last 12 months, and looked nearly doomed when co-star Robert Downey Jr. had to exit the project to film “The Avengers,” but Clooney came aboard to rescue it in late 2010.

So why all the consternation over the casting? The film is an ambitious, mostly one-character piece set on a remote space station. During an expedition outside the station, only the team leader (Clooney) and his female colleague (Bullock) are left alive after an exploding satellite kills the other members of the crew, setting off a desperate race home for the latter to get to her child. Having read the script, it’s mostly a one-woman show, and with hard sci-fi action pics already a tough sell, one led by a woman adds an even trickier equation to the mix; female-led actioners are also difficult to market. But you don’t get starts much bigger than Bullock and Clooney (though his role will be relatively small) and WB are clearly believers. We’re just glad that after so much drama this one is finally and firmly moving forward.

Cuarón’s Gravity Is “Completely Insane”
sfx at 11:39am August 12 2011 - By: Jen Neal
Guillermo del Toro promises that his mate Alfonso’s next movie is going to push the boundaries of film making
Guillermo Del Toro has enthused to MTV about his old mate and fellow Mexican Alfonso (Children Of Men) Cuarón’s new sci-fi movie Gravity, calling it “insane”.

He said we can expect “amazing things” from the space-based thriller, starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock. Apparently Cuarón was asking for advice on how to achieve certain effects, and del Toro recommended someone know for stretching the effects envelope. “I connected Jim (Cameron) and Alfonso for that. What Alfonso was trying is so insane! And Jim said, ‘You’re about five years into the future. It’s too early to try anything that crazy!’”

Cuarón has teamed up once again with Emmanuel Lubezki as his cinematographer, who he has worked with on five previous motion pictures including Children Of Men and A Little Princess. “They are absolutely pushing a new boundary in film-making. It’s absolutely mind-blowing. The way they are making that movie I think will change the making of other productions. The machines they created to film that way are absolutely fantastic.”

Del Toro went on to call the film “incredibly well-calculated” and “very human”.

He is full of nothing but praise for his long-term friend. “I’m amazed at Alfonso in his last few movies; he’s completely transformed himself.”

I agree pattygirl, it looks professionally done to me....maybe something just to whet the appetites of the sci-fi film goers and not necessarily trying to work up the fan base of the two leads just yet.

Why do all the writeups on Gravity seem to "star" George, when it is in reality Sandy who is the star and George is just in it. Heard he dies pretty early on (could be rumor, don't know). I know many films w/ George in small parts "star" him because his name brings in the $$, but Sandy as an Oscar winner is as big or even a bigger draw.

She is the star. And Bullock comes before Clooney.

Hi patty, I''m back home now, and happy to be. Re. Gravity movie, if G is not in it much I'm not going to pay money to see at the theater. Might buy the dvd though. The same with IOM. What I really want to see is Descendents. LOL

Hi Cindi, Welcome home and glad you're happy to be. I know just what you mean.
I'm weaker than you. I will go to see any movie he's in, good, bad or indifferent. Watch "Spy Kids"" (not my thing) just to see his cameo as President. Pretty bad, huh! And to think I didn't know he existed(well not really that) till 3 yrs. ago. You know what they say, the bigger we are, the harder we fall. First I saw, on TV, was Oceans 11. That did it for me.

Patty, thanks for the welcome home. I guess I'm shallow but I wouldn't pay $12 to see a movie he's in if he's not in it that much. At least with the dvd I can "pause, fast forward" etc. for scenes he's in. I've been a fan of his for only 3 years. But in those those 3 years I'm consumed with him. Don't know exactly why.

Didn't like the Oceans films (too fluffy) and I can't stand Brad Pitt. JMO

Doesn’t he “hang the moon” in that film, Patty! Love watching George in anything, too!

Glad you made it home safe and sound, Cindi!

I only pay $8 Senior Matinee prices. Wouldn't pay to see 3D. I loved Oceans movies Brad is okay I can take him or leave him. Do like Matt Damon though. I don't mind his fluffy movies, he's in them.

Cinderella, could you explain "hang the moon". Don't think I've ever heard that expression before.

Hung the Moon - used as an example of a superlative act attributed to someone viewed with uncritical or excessive awe, reverence, or infatuation.

George Clooney Talks Warner Bros. 2012 Release 'Gravity' (Video)

In an conversation with THR chief film critic Todd McCarthy, the "Ides of March" and "The Descendants" actor reveals details about his upcoming space film co-starring Sandra Bullock.
George Clooney has two films opening just in time for awards season. The Ides of March, a political thriller co-starring Ryan Gosling, and The Descendants, about a man trying ot reconnect with his estranged daughters.

But, when the actor-director sat down with The Hollywood Reporter's Todd McCarthy at the Telluride Film Festival, talk turned to another of his upcoming films, Gravity (due in theaters November 12, 2012).

"Well, I don't want to spoil it for you ... everyone dies," Clooney joked of the picture, directed by Alfonso Cuaron.

The film, set in outer space, tells the tale of a lone survivor of an ill-fated mission to repair the Hubble telescope, and his quest to return to Earth. And, the actor tells THR he has high hopes for its success.
"It's just a beautiful story, and it's really well done. And, I hope it ends up being a great film. Visually, I haven't seen anything like it in my life."
He also had kind words to say about his co-star, Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock. "It's Sandy Bullock, who I love, who I've been friends with for 25 years, and it's she and I floating in space."

I'm kind of torn about this one. Well I always give movies a chance, I'm pretty open but I didn't like Cildren of men (not the direction or the acting, just more the story in general). I guess I'll wait and try ear more what it's about.
I'm not really a fan of futuristic stories (Am I going to get slamed if say here I hardly sat through all of Solaris, and I'm not sure now I could tell you about the movie... sorry not my favorite). By the way does anybody know if this one is going to be extremely sci.fi. ? And if it's just more generally ressembling our world, but set in the future ?

Hi macs, I'm sure this new movie is going to have better graphics than say, Solaris did. I liked Solaris but not because of the story but, well you know................

Solaris for me was the first film I saw that George showed me some depth and emotion in his acting skills. Fell in love with his character, was a husband fantasy. Hope Gravity brings something similar out of George's skills.
