Why not? She's been posting that comment in the comments section of websites all over the internet. It's on pretty much all the Clooney articles published online recently.

Its true that very rich people do get alot of things for free, that us normal people have to pay for, however I has been noted in articles that George picks up the (huge) tab on many occasions. When he gave the motorbikes to The Boys one year, I could be wrong, but doubt they were all for free.

Sisieq, I'm sure Gee pays for everything he buys, not for one minute would he "sponge" off of people! But I wouldn't be surprised at all at a little bribery or arm twisting to get to be in Gee's circle!!

I doubt he pays for armani suits or his nespresso machine and coffee pods but I think the rest of the stuff he buys if he wants it.

Only problem with Eli's wish of not living in Italy is the fact it seems to be the only place she can get work. Looks like the US isn't working out how she thought. Maybe those bags were empty and she was picking up all the stuff she had bought over. I wonder how long she has been in Italy for?

Sorry I don't believe if Eli was worth that much she would be doing all these coffee commercials etc or the underwear commercials. I'm sure she has money but nowhere near that amount. Those calenders where done years ago and she wasn't a massive star and she has done very little acting work and doesn't have any star power to ask for big money. Her lifestyle before George just doesn't scream independantly rich she has always hooked rich guys and sponged off them and each seems to get wealthier. Models can make big money but mostly international campaigns she hasn't had anything that major worldwide. Buying all those designer purses and the taxes would eat away at it alot. I really don't buy that she is that wealthy although I'm sure she would love to be.

I agree, Dex. The only place she'll be able to get paid work is in Italy. She may pick up the occasional promotional job elsewhere in Europe but that's about it.

Maybe that luggage was filled with stuff for her new store,and not more clothes for Georges closets!We can only hope he gets tired of her soon.

See my posts on page 3 of this thread. In the UK top topless models can make over 100,000 pounds a year (about $160,000). No reason why Italy would be any different.

It depends on the country our models and tv actors don't make that much over here. Even celebs on top rating shows don't earn much more then the average folk. Eli did those calenders over 10 years ago so no I doubt she got paid much for them she was an unknown wannabe back then it was them doing her a favour not the other way around. If she was to do it today then yes she would make a fortune. Eli's televsion career is very short nothing of hers seems to have lasted long and some years she did one thing in the year and always as a bit player. velina's seemed to have made more through the benefits bought to them by being on Tv then the actual money they would have made. The shows look cheap and they go through alot of velinas so I doubt the money is major. Probably more then a normal job but it wouldn't be great. Eli's apartment in Milan is probably a big part of her worth which was given to her when her engagement to her soccer player boyfriend ended. Don't forget she has taxes and lives a fairly lavish lifestyle even before George she had designer bags etc. I do think she has some money but nowhere near the amount stated or else why does she need to do these commercials? She can't be that desperate for attention! Acually it has made me wonder we have heard that George lavished Eli with gifts at least early on, how come we never hear of anything Eli has gotten or done for George? If she has all this cash she hasn't exactly been spending any on him has she? Next guy will be rich too you can bet your sweet life on it, all of her blokes have been which is what makes me wonder if she has any cash left especially if the rumours of her lifestyle were true.

Maybe the Italians have finally gotten sick of the Canalis saturation in the press. Maybe no one cares anymore. She has stated that Italy holds nothing for her anymore so maybe the Italians take that at face value and want nothing to do with her in return.
