American actor George Clooney is expected to come to Iceland this month in connection with a new film he will direct and star in. "Good Morning, Midnight" is one of the two big projects planned for the upcoming weeks in the southern part of Vatnajökull National Park.

In the second film, "Ghost Draft" will play American actor Chris Pratt. Both films are in the science fiction genre.

The number of film permit applications in the southern part of Vatnajökull has increased rapidly in recent years. Only this year 63 permits were issued to shoot films and commercials there. Of these, 37 concerned filming at the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, and eight at Fjallsárlón. Although most projects involve teams of less than ten people, well over 200 people will be involved in the production of the two American films, writes Morgunblaðið.

Still confused about where they are in the filming of this thing, but at this point I really don't care. It has a release date for late summer to early winter, so I guess they expect it to be ready to air by then. Hopefully it will be good.

Maybe George saved the best location shoot for last. Maybe he decided to add additional scenes or scenery. La Palma is beautiful. I checked out their tourism site and the island has prehistoric forests, volcanoes, beaches with deep gorges and known as a perfect location for star gazing. Seems well suited for George’s movie.

The pic in the first story benex posted has George dressed in the same suit as the Instagram pic. They both could have been taken of George on the island or en route.

La esposa del actor estadounidense no ha querido perder la oportunidad de acompañarlo y, de paso, recorrer en familia los rincones más espectaculares de La Palma, que es Reserva de la Biosfera desde el año 2002. Para disfrutar de sus días en la isla, el matrimonio y sus mellizos se alojan en la Hacienda de Abajo, un exclusivo hotel situado en el centro histórico de la localidad de Tazacorte.

El precio de dormir en este tranquilo lugar cuesta entre 200 y unos 1.200 euros la noche para dos personas.
En este hotel de cuatro estrellas, el intérprete compaginará sus largas jornadas de rodaje con otros días de descanso con los suyos.
