The George Show - Summer Series - Como Edition 2011

Lake Como is a tourist place and gets a lot of american tourist they seem to have been doing this for a few years so it isn't anything new. I think it's nice! George has had plenty of time to work on Ides if I remember last time he worked on a movie and edited it at night. We know Eli was rarely around so he would have had time plus weekends. He could be just about done and no reason Grant couldn't come over after Darfur and put in his two cents worth.

Without checking.....I think I remember from last year that the fireworks are from a Saint's day in Italy...nothing to do with US celebrations....

Lol! Boys will be boys! I can't even imagine how annoying it would be to want to get out and have people (paps) screaming at you and trying to constantly take pics. No wonder he goes out at nite....in the dark.....

Thanks Merlin for that awesome san giovani fireworks video. They really know how to do it right. This looks like a 2 minute sustained (grand finale) in America.

I also do not blame Ben for flipping the bird. I get that he's a celebrity and will be hunted down at all times but doesn't mean that he or his friends have to like it.

The feast of St. John is Comacina Island, an island of Lake Como and it is in June and July 4 in Cernobbio, there are fireworks at Villa d'Este for the celebration of American independence. It 'a party that for so many years ago in July because Cernobbio is full of Americans, especially celebrities.

August 12. 2011 Cernobbio, "Gatto Nero" Restaurant The last time George had taken his ex-girlfriend at the "black cat", Elisabetta Canalis, for a dinner that with hindsight it seemed like a farewell dinner. Now Clooney arrived 2 days at Villa Oleandra, back to dinner at the Black Cat, bringing with them their loved ones: his trusted bodyguard / handyman John, the butler Antonio with his wife (probably out of gratitude for how to deal with Villa Oleandra) and some Hollywood friends. Looks like they're sorting "stuff" out, maybe where they want to sit since paps seem to be around. In table pics, he's smiling and very animated. Seems very relaxed, but is not sitting in the catbird seat where he'd be on display.

Like LL said, it is good to see him out and about with his trusted friends. These people keep him balanced and real.

You have to hand it to the Italian paps. They seem to snag photos of him a lot, more so than in LA and certainly not in the UK. Kudos to them and laetval for posting!

Interesting reviews for Il Gatto Nero. Knew it had to be good, otherwise George wouldn't frequent it so often.

He looks good, happy and relaxed. No sign of the new girl I guess she will have to make due with LA. I do like him in that suit he does look hot. Also nice he wasn't too traumitised by the last time he was at that place!

I don't think an unpleasant time with a person would stop him from frequenting a restaurant unless it was with the owner, manager or chef. Don't imagine he'd have any unpleasant experiences there as he seems to get along with most people in public. Seems to be a mellow fellow when dining out.

Mom and Dads Anniversery, so maybe coming for a visit. Good reason to keep the new girl away!
