Hate that the goatee only covers the very bottom of his chin and looks also to have a soul patch. I don't get taking the time to shave a space in the middle of your chin.  I liked the one he had a few years ago better....

Oh wow I was not even thinking about it. You are right. that must be hard work every morning.... I like to see George in the morning in front of the mirror hehe

Nicky, thank you for the find. OMG! He looks AMAZING!!!! Whatever he's been doing, it's working. He actually looks like a 50 something who looks good for his age his age instead of like a tired old man. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

According to The NY Post he arrived to tape his segment of the show at 11 o'clock this morning. Apparently Colbert's taping schedule is different from Letterman's. I'm glad I didn't go into the city to try and catch him because he'd have been long gone!

I will just ask about it. If it was at night why he was already on the show.

Hathaross, it looks like at least some parts of the show are being taped ahead of time.Colbert comes from a background of improvisational comedy, so maybe they're taping skits to use later on the show. I guess not all of it will air live. I know some shows tape more than one episode a day so they can work a shorter week, but I don't think the late-night shows do this. I could be wrong.

I do wonder why George needed two jackets - unless he thinks something might happen to one of them - That's why I think they might be doing some kind of skit. BUT as I said before, I could be wrong!

I am still waiting that someday CBS or in any live show will show us the skit filmed for Letterman with Julianna. Too sad they run out of time
