 fascinating article. I found it really interesting that the most winning roles for men were for criminals or the mentally ill - and for women, prostitutes and wives. I wonder what that says about us.
I also found it fascinating that as revered as Scorsese seems to be, he hasn't been more rewarded by the Academy. I guess someday they'll give him one of those "career" Oscars.

No worries, interesting isn't it - I don't think its much of a stretch for a male actor to play a criminal lol - I mean don't most boys play variations of cops/robbers throughout their life anyway - good practice.

Re Mr Scorsese, he has been involved in one way or another in some of the most intriguing brilliant movies of our time, so it would be nice to see him more rewarded -

I always thought he was, but I'm not that up on awards. I guess eventually they'll recognize him - hope he's still alive when they do!
