I don't know why, but Stacy's "serious" face always makes me giggle. It's like the one she had at the Oscars watching Cirque du Soleil - "I have no idea what's going on, but I know it's important." Hee.

Mm. Well, i wouldn't mind looking like that when I'm concentrating.....

Who has to concentrate that hard in normal conversation? Chris Wallace isn't administering an SAT.

Actually we're in total agreement here.

My point is that she's being fashionable, which is an entirely different animal from being stylish. Do people slavishly following the latest fashion trends sometimes look stupid to us un-fashionable people? Yes, IMO absolutely. But that doesn't bother them.

I like to keep an eye on the trends and adapt the ones that work for me. Jeggings? Never. Leggings under a beaded tunic? Yes ma'am. But the good thing is that I'm not a celeb trying desperately to create an image and keep my name in all the magazines which means that when it comes to fashion I can pick and choose as I like. Stacy on the other hand does need to look in touch with the times.

It's nice she's trying to create an image and keeping her name in mags but for crying out loud, a built-in bra (prosthetic?), long flowing (ugly) pants extending below the ground, oversize hat. Definitely not appropriate for climbing in and out of boats. If she has such an amazing body like it's claimed, she wouldn't need all those accessories. IMO

Many tops have a built in bra for support. What's wrong with that? The prosthetic that someone else mentioned was referring to her implants.

I don't see anything wrong with a built-in bra - many bathing suit tops have them. And I didn't understand the prosthetic term, didn't realize they were breast implants. It's the whole outfit that I think is over the top.

She's dressed more like she's going to walk the fashion runway than just going to dinner. Just my opinion.

Remember the good old days when Canalis drove the boat in a thong, looking like a naked questionmark, well that was real good entertainment.
This one is sooo boring, even her hanging out her boobs makes me yawn.
But the hat looks quite functional, maybe they used it for sailing back to save gas.

It just took me by surprise to see George fans disappointed at getting new pictures of George. This is just what George does every summer: on the boat with different groups of people. It was the same last year, will be the same next year. All that changes is the weather and the girlfriend.

You know me by now, I'll never understand this obsession some fans have with his girlfriend. To me it's so obvious that she's not a big deal in his life that I'm unwilling to make her a big deal in mine. If I thought he was actually serious about her then I could understand the attention she gets. So I'm just always surprised (and a little disappointed, yes) when every time there's a story or pictures about George that the first comment and almost all the subsequent comments are about his girlfriend. Even when the story isn't about Stacy in any way.

The only advice I can give is this: Stacy will soon be over and George will move on to another girlfriend. That new girlfriend will be every bit as bad and as embarrassing as Stacy is. The sad thing is that most of the fans will have moved on and the newer fans will think they're seeing everything for the first time.

Katie, your discussion is clear and precise ... also to highlight the discomfort that many fans of George feel when watching this controversial skit .... Stacy is not more or less embarrassing, beautiful, intelligent than other GF. She may like or unlike than the the previous ones, of course! You' right, she'll be early over. The problem, in fact, is not her. The problem is to understand how an actor of importance and experience such as George, after the break up with Canalis, has completely lost his head (from a media point of view), literally hiring an escort (apparently, among other things, not particularly beautiful, nor elegant, we can not know if intelligent ... what does she speak about if not diets?) to support a role absolutely false, and continue to carry it forward until the boredom. Almost if he had become a real misogynist (or clearly gay).

We can look at any photos of previous GF George (Snowdon, Allen, Canalis, Larson even the first time ..), and anyone can clearly understand where is the difference.

I liked the boat pictures, George looks fabulous, they look like they are having a great time and if SK wants to dress up for every photo call all the power to her.

Katie I want to love all new photo's with George, but I'm having a hard time deciding which are real and which are posed! Most are in the opinion that all are posed? So it,s hard for me to believe in GTC anymore.

As for the fashion; I think when she is back in th states she can foolow the trends. But on vacation? In another country? Maybe it's just me, but I go on vaction to relax and enjoy myself.

I don't think the issue is totally the fashion choices she is making (which are bad and she is dressing at least 10 years older than she is - each to their own) but the fashion choices she is making in relation to everyone else at the Villa. She never wore outfots like this before yet all of a sudden, she starts when she just happens to be in Como with the awaiting press every time she steps off the grounds of the villa. Not in LA, NY or Cabo. She seems to get all dolled up - perfect hair, perfect makeup - and in a dressy outfit to go out and about whilst everyone else is in t shirts and shorts. It is like she packed her bags with her assumption of what being in Como would be (lady of the Villa styling) but everyone else packed to be on vacation, comfortable and relaxing.

She looks like she is trying to impress with her fashion choices (which prior to the summer she was never seen in) and get into the candid shots on the fashion pages instead of enjoy her vacation. Which makes me wonder about the validity of the relationshiop? If you are secure, why would you need to go overboard like this? Wouldn't you just focus on and enjoy the time in Italy on someone else's dime?

That or no matter where she is, she needs to draw focus (cough famewhore cough) and the only way she could think to do that in Como with the revolving door of guests who have actually accomplished more in their lives than lingere wrestling and being arm candy - is to overdress on all occasions to try and maybe make the others look underdressed and like they hadn't made an effort. Kinda like - "look at all the effort I have put in George, to look like what an appropriate companion of an A lister even though your other guests didn't. Ignore that I never actually look comfortable and you don't spend your downtime dressed to the nines, I believe the press expect it so I will deliver. I went out and bought a whole new wardobe for this summer for the hope of reviving my lagging career so I am going to wear ever outfit even if I am well aware that I am dressed inappropriately for the day's activites. Why aren't I the lead story for my outfits on people.com? Why haven't I been offered a comestic or fashion house contract yet George? Why??"

Because anyone else in her situation realised that they had packed incorrectly would go shopping and get casualwear to fit in with everyone else. So why hasn't she?

I think you hit the nail on the head. We never ever ever saw her in outfits like these on her off time in LA. We used to joke about how very time we saw her she was in workout clothes or leggings. Suddenly she's in cashmere and silk and four inch heels all the time? There has to be some underlying motivation, whether it's making money from the designers or the simple insecurity you mentioned. She's playing the part of a wealthy American touring Europe, and like most of her acting, is doing it badly.

I think the criticism regarding the sunglasses has to do with the time of day (it's either dusk or overcast; certainly no bright sunshine in those photos) and the fact that no one else is wearing them. Even if it's a prescription (that she only seems to need in Italy), wouldn't her eyes be fine once she's sitting inside the boat in the shade and conversing with people?

ROFL sandy- now I know what's been bugging me about her outfit. She's wearing huge dark sunglasses (Greta Garbo anyone)? suggesting that she's in intense sun, but who wears a big hat in black which is a sun magnet? Most people wear big hats in a light color to deflect the sun.

Me too It's Me!...My eyes are very light sensitive and if the wind is blowing, my eyes are like a water works and if the sun is shining and sometimes even when it isn't shining but there's a kind of glare, although overcast, the same thing will happen and I have tears flowing down my cheeks and ruining my makeup. Much easier to keep the dark glasses on and who cares what anyone else thinks! If other people in my company aren't wearing them, I generally will explain why I can't take them off, so as not to appear rude to others.

Sometimes, the little things seem to be made more important than they really are and when we focus on those little things, we got our perspective scewed just a little on the bigger picture.

Those with light sensitive eyes can probably answer my question: do camera flashes cause you trouble? Because light is light, right? If her eyes are so sensitive as to require sunglasses on a cloudy day, she must have been in agony on all those red carpets, with hundreds of cameras flashing at her all at once. I suppose you could argue that her sensitivity is recent, but then she didn't wear sunglasses on her trip back to NYC a few weeks ago, out at a Yankee game with Torrie. Maybe the light is different in Europe, stronger. Are they closer to the equator in Italy? That might explain it.

Missa, she is a V.I.P. and these superior persons HAVE to wear sunglasses always and everywhere, full stop.

2) With her outstanding appearances she made it clear, who is the most important person in that game and that it is not GC in babyblue.
She did this from the first day on with the spiderdress and the birdsnest etc. etc. so no surprise about what she is doing now.

That is the perfect description of how I felt looking at those photos: those pants are visually attacking me.

Camera flashes can cause problems of course, but when someone
is "on show" on a red carpet I suppose they have to grin and bear it for appearances sake....which a lot do I'm sure.

Robert Downey Jr usually wears tinted glasses on such occasions.

In actuality, my post really wasn't about the light or where it's coming from or any of that. I just find amusing the explanations Stacy's fans come up with to explain what I see as annoying and sometimes outright obnoxious behavior. "Maybe she has a sensitivity to light of which we've never seen any prior evidence!" "She wears ginormous, attention-grabbing hats to keep her hair from blowing around, even though none of the other women on the boat seem to have that problem, and an elastic would accomplish the same thing!" "Who cares if she goes boating in a silk and cashmere outfit that costs more than some people make in a week? At least she's not naked!" The equator comment was just my sarcastic attempt to join the bandwagon.

Harry Potter - love it! Any sensible person would agree that there was no direct sunlight, glare, or wind inside the boat where they were sitting. Even if for some reason she needed sunglasses outside the boat (even though at that time of the day no one else did), she should have taken them off inside the boat and stored them inside that Chanel purse and put it to some use. Unless she had some sort of eye infection, surgery, etc. there was absolutely no need for the sunglasses except that she was attempting to make some sort of statement.

So do ya' think there was a huge bash at Brangelina's house this weekend in London that maybe (or not) George and Stacy attended? Anything in the breeze on that speculation...?

The various websites are reporting that Brad and Angie did not get married this weekend, as had been rumored. Don't know about the big shindig, but you'd think there would have been photos of all those supposed big name guests going in.
