IMHO, I also think the "announcment" is so the housekeepers can air out the place and stock up on food when he's about ready to have his usual summer stay there.

Maybe they were saying that it was taped before a live auidence, then aired on television the next night.

So, IF about 2 weeks ago, then between the wedding and the cooking show they flew all the way to Mexico for a "girls holiday". Weird, there are plenty of nice beaches around Italy. IMHO

@Doris Day - I think you're looking at the first set of pictures on this thread. Look halfway down page 1 and you will see her in the brown bikini. Those are the pictures we are talking about. And she is very tan, just like in the show.

As I am now just cathing up with this thread, that was my exact same thought, too, Cinderella. As minor and stupid (we think the topic) that it is, that EC's PR people are trying to make George look like a liar. My other thought is that he may have done something so minor (that's not really noticeable), but EC wants the public to know and is pushing this to hopfully get some gossip site to come out and ask George and/or Stan about it.

WOW! IMHO, that's "dirty pool" on Alfonso's part. So (it seems and if the above is correct) that he used EC in the first show to get the headlines (using George's name indirectly). Of course, its just us talking guessing amonst ourselves and EC may have known who the other female guests were going to be. However, I do think it wasn't nice of that chef who made the mean comments about EC during the show especially if he's real nice to the other female guest hosts.

I have read the link in Italian and it seems that its is Elisabetta who backed out so they were forced to hire Belen, the rest of the cast remains unchanged. Here is what it says:

I guess she gave up that job because she actually had to work, like washing the dishes and as we all know she doesn't like to work.

For George and finding the rigth moment for the split:
Maybe it would be the best for her to split right now because then she would be forced to work and finally be able to stand on her own feet.

All she had to do was pass things and wash a few dishes. I mean how hard is that? It makes her look like an even bigger fool. Still doesn't mean George has to keep her around though she can say she was too distressed about the split to work although she seemed fine when grandma died but then she will get more PR out of this. The wheels for the split are already in motion and when George wants it over it will be! He isn't stupid maybe that is what she was cranky about over dinner?

The video is from last year I think we are getting old pics etc to make it seem she is there and things are ok. She hasn't been seen around the villa just the town and we all got to see that! George goes to darfur soon and will probably be at his friends wedding before that so she has about a week to get a boat ride or maybe she is working out her post split wardrobe and sad faces!

I think, like a lot of relationships, it's complicated and emotions and moods can change from day to day.

Why did she back out of the show? Who knows? Maybe she didn't like it there (we've no idea what went on behind the scenes), or maybe she wasn't meant to do more than one show. Or maybe she was so bad she was asked to leave.

This information is coming from Italian gossip magazines - the sames ones who've been forecasting a wedding every month since they first got together - and IMO this info is every bit as unreliable as the rest of what we read.
