George Clooney and Amal Clooney are always jet-setting around the world, but nothing feels quite like home like their property in Lake Como, Italy. The Ocean’s Eleven actor and the Lebanese-British barrister love nothing more than unwinding at their waterfront mansion, which they named Villa Oleandra.
George first purchased the 18th-century Italian villa located in Laglio, Italy, in 2002. According to reports, the ER star bought the lakeside residence for nearly $14 million. Nowadays, the home is reportedly worth over $100 million.

Aside from being built in the perfect location alongside gorgeous Lake Como, George and Amal’s massive mansion is fitted with 25 rooms, including multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, a luxurious kitchen, formal dining rooms, walk-in closets and more.
The Descendants actor’s abode also features an indoor gym, a private outdoor theater, a large swimming pool, a multiple-car garage and a tennis court. Considering George loves to spend time on the water, his home also offers access for his many boats.

On top of their home in the Lombardy region of Northern Italy, George and Amal are also the owners of many other properties around the world, including in the U.K., Los Angeles and New York City. However, nothing makes the Up in the Air star — who tied the knot with Amal in 2014 — more relaxed than being at their villa on Lake Como.
Even though George initially bought the residence as an “investment” and a place to maybe “spend a few weeks each year,” he quickly fell in love with the culture of Italy. “[The purchase] changed my life in a very pleasant and unexpected way,” he has gushed. “I realized how beautiful life was in Italy and how it really helped calm me and not feel so pressured.”

Considering George is one of Hollywood’s most accomplished actors, it’s no surprise he enjoys his time-off relaxing at his private abode. Not only does the pair spend every summer in Italy with their twins, Alexander and Ella, but the TV icon and the human rights lawyer always host their A-list friends, like Prince HarryMeghan MarkleBarack Obama and more.
“Their Lake Como villa is spectacular,” a source close to the couple told People. “It’s a wonderful place for the whole family.”

In order to make sure their home is safe from any flooding, George and Amal had a large wall constructed to keep the water out.

Because George has water access right from his home, it’s not rare to catch his riding in one of his boats.
