Nope Lizzy it says COH is for sale. I don't know how it works , I hope it stays open.  

This is so sad , I can't believe this is happening.  I'm still hoping Katie will respond and tell us something, if she had said 
she needed help I would have gladly helped in any want that I could.

We all would have helped. I'm just hoping that this is because she's just not interested and not because something's wrong. I hope she's ok.

Lizzy , I hope she is o.k. Maybe, she simply didn't want to deal with us not wanting her to let the site go.

I have this page in a tab.   The first link on this page is clooneysopen house.  It still works fine.  

However I rarely log off, so maybe it would not work if I log off.

That was the page we all were getting I think now it doesn't come up for me.

I've been looking for other Clooney fan sites we might want to use instead of COH. The only one I could find, so far, is George Clooney Aficianados, which has some of the features of COH. I also noticed a couple of familiar names in their list of posters. Does anyone know of any other sites?

I'd still much rather find a way to keep COH together.

PS - I know some people might not be comfortable sharing, but if there's anyone you want to keep in touch with if COH closes I suggest you PM them your email address. At least that way you can keep in touch.

Does anyone have facebook we can keep in touch on there.

I made a page on facebook but I think everyone has to join facebook to use it.

Annemarie - Yes, I think you have to join facebook to use it. I don't use it but if it's the only way to keep COH going, I will.

Yes, the auction is in May. But we don't know if it will still be open till then

It's Me, yes, it's still in danger of closing. The domain name will be auctioned off n May. We don't know if the site will keep running until then. If there's anyone you want to stay in touch with, PM them your email address while you still can, otherwise the site may close before you have the chance.

It is really sad It’s Me.  Even if we could find another George fan site to join there wouldn’t be the same rapport that we all have together here.  It just wouldn’t be the same.  Unfortunately we have to be honest that there are far fewer fans posting and reading here than there were just two years ago.  Katie asked us several months ago if we wanted the site to continue and we said yes.  Maybe she has decided it’s not in her best interest any longer to spend the time to maintain COH.  I don’t know if she reached out to anyone here to see if they would be willing to take over running the site.
I’m still hoping she will show up and talk to us about what’s going on.

DON'T PANIC!  I'm so sorry for all the confusion - I just forgot to renew the website domain.

Just in case it ever happens again, know that this site: http://www.clooneysopenhouse.forumotion.com is always functional and won't close down.  The .com site that you're all used to using is a mirror of that and needs to be renewed every year.

I'm really, really sorry to do this to you guys.  If I ever had enough of this site, I'd make an announcement and hand it over to anyone else who wanted to run it.  I wouldn't just let it close like this. I'm really proud of what we've built here and I wouldn't ever want to let you all down this way.  

Also, don't forget that this site does have a facebook page too.
