Never heard of it. He's getting the AFI Lifetime award around that time, isn't he? Something to do with that...? But they don't usually make the recipient host a gala.

This young lady is Armenian but based in LA, the week preceding the AFI event is the Aurora Prize weekend

It could be that George won't be there for the event as he's in LA, so this may be an alternative event.
Samantha Power, ex UN and George close friend, is now on the Aurora Prize Committee
