It was worth showing up for the Instagram pic....on the money, masculine ageless styling....jeans, jacket and shirt., perfection, almost.....lose the goat thingy and we're there...

 The goat thingy!!???????? Thanks for the laugh! He did say somewhere that he was growing the "goat thingy" to hide his wrinkles. If that's true, I guess we'll just have to get used to it 'cause it probably ain''t goin' nowhere - just like the wrinkles. (I can't stop giggling! So funny! - Sorry!  )

Oh how I must disagree.

He definitely is very much involved in they way he looks and how he dresses.

I think he knows what he likes and wears it . I don't think he goes shopping and buys his clothes I think his assistant did that now I believe Amal does it.

Annemarie - I agree that he knows what he likes. He may send someone else out to shop, but he's the one who decides what they buy. How do I know? Because his wardrobe hasn't changed in years! If Amal had anything to say about his wardrobe we'd never see the chukka boots and dad jeans again, yet whenever he's not in a suit, there they are! I think the only real change is that now all his t-shirts have the Casamigos logo on them.

Well, let's put it this way. I don't think he's influenced by fashion! I'm convinced he has many of everything that he likes. He knows what that is and  iscomfortable in. Hence not a lot of change.

I liked him in the double breasted short coat and polo necked sweater in NYC in the snow, and the black suede longer length jacket, but he's a man of habit and comfort is key which may or may not be influenced by back/neck pain at times. The jeans and suit jacket thing smacks of writer/director/producer.

Remember the kit for the labrador retriever ad............?

I think Amal does buy him pieces the newer pieces are probably her , I think she loves him as he is and what he wears is fine with her I don't see her wanting to change him just because she loves fashion .

I do think she does the shopping for him now as his wife he chooses and she buys it. I think like a lot of wives she picks things she likes to add to his wardrobe .

For sure he is a creature of habit so won't try too many different things.

Because the wrinkles are under his lip and on the tip of his chin?? Don't think so.... must be a joke.

I imagine he feels he has more important/better things to do with his time than spend much time on what he wears. 

Double standard is that it is not easy for women in his position to get away with the same thing. He is "comfortable and knows what he likes," whereas a woman would be seen as not caring, unprofessional and sloppy.  If Sandra wore boots, jean and tshirt all the time or a blazer and slacks, all you would hear about is her (lack of) wardrobe and fashion sense.

fave, agree. Double standard for sure. That's a topic to discuss in itself.

I too think he is really comfortable with what he wears.  He never seems like he fusses with himself.  Like it has been said here he knows what he likes and pretty much sticks to it.  He wears classic pieces that never really go out of style.  Armani suits. Ties.  Levis. Ha! - Casamigos t-shirts which I'm sure he hopes will be in style for years to come!

I'm not sure how much Amal involves herself with what he wears.  Can't believe she doesn't suggest tho.  Like he was quoted as saying she has commented on his tendency to wear the same shirt and jeans when they go out to eat.  Yep some of the pieces he wore last winter in NYC were quite dapper!  What man doesn't look good in a black turtleneck?

I think he almost always looks good when he is out and about.  He makes what he wears look good not the other way around. Confidence shows.

About the double standard:
I think you're absolutely right, fava and Donnamarie.
Do you remember what George said at the Golden Globes when he was interviewed backstage?
He said that award shows are not fair to women when it comes to dresses and make up. And then he mentioned that he was wearing his wedding tux, and all the women (maybe the male journalists as well) were swooning. Just imagine a woman had recycled a dress and talked about it publicly!
I'm sure the reaction would have been a bit different though...
And could an actress age the way he does? Greying hair without the need to dye it, wrinkles without a facelift or at least the use of botox?
I started greying when I was 25 and dyed my hair for 20 years. Now I'm fed up with it and am totally grey, and I realize that many people are cobfused because my hair looks older than the rest of me (as I'm often told). Well, I think that's better than vice versa 

But I guess that that's really a different thread.

Yep in Hollywood the actresses feel they  can't wear the same thing twice which makes no sense to me. The clothes they wear are so expensive it is a total waste of money when  they buy the dresses.

I wonder why there are not so many pics and Videos from the press conference? Was this press conference a secret?

Oh man, George looking really good. I don´t usually like goatee in a man, and I am not a fan of it on George, I prefer beard, but the one he has grow lately.....    Looks really yummy for me
