George Clooney’s Ex Talia Balsam To Tell-All About Their Divorce In New Show


George Clooney may be living happily ever after in his new marriage, but his ex, Talia Balsam, is ready to speak out!



The 56-year-old actress, who split from George in 1993, is set to star on Sarah Jessica Parker’s upcoming HBO show, Divorce, and art may be imitating real-life.

A source told OK! magazine that the Mad Men actress, who is now married to her on-screen husband in the show (well, SPOILER, ex-husband) John Slattery, has been “feeding the writers dirt about her own breakup” with Clooney!

“To Sarah, it’s a no-brainer to have Talia draw on her experience with George,” the source told OK!

“And make no mistake: George’s name will come up when it comes time to promote the show.” We’re assuming we’ll get some Amal gossip, too!

So what kind of gossip will Talia tell?

Yuk....how dreadful.
If she does do that then she'll be the type
of woman who gives the rest of us 
a bad name. 

Agree Joanna, and I'm a bit surprised. I thought she would never do something like that. I hope it is just gossip.....

That seems....unlikely.  She's had plenty of opportunities to capitalize on her famous ex-husband over the years; why now?  Plus, whatever happened between them twenty-odd years ago, they've since reconciled enough to work together (George, Talia, and her current husband) on George's K Street HBO series.  I'd bet OK magazine is making this up out of whole-cloth.

Last two lines are a clue - the 'What kind of...........?' and the 'We're assuming'. Oh, and top of the page 'art MAY be imitating life'............Oh dear.....

This is OK! Magazine.  Always have to consider the source.  This sounds like a bunch of hype. The show may be legit and maybe Talia will be on it but I doubt seriously she will be "feeding the writers dirt about her own breakup".  Like Missa said Talia has had ample opportunity to dish on George but she never has.  And she seems like a very classy lady who wouldn't stoop so low as to gossip about her marriage to George.  A man who has always said wonderful things about her and pretty much blamed himself for the breakup.

Come on--the show is fiction!

I don't think Talia would say anything bad about George . They are just promoting the show .

According to Variety, which is a lot more reliable than OK magazine, Sarah Jessica Parker is the star of the show.  Thomas Hayden Church plays her husband and Talia Balsam plays one of her close friends who has been widowed and divorced.

I don't think she's collaborating with the writers or telling them all about her marriage to George. Maybe she might comment that something the writers thought up is similar to an event in her own life, but I don't think she'd feed them actual  details of her marriage.

Yeah, this is just promotion for the new tv show. Talia's had AMPLE opportunity to tell all about George and never has. Doubt she will this time, especially as this is a scripted drama not a reality show. She'll be performing from a script written by goodness knows how many writers.

George's name has indeed been used "to promote the show" but won't be in the show at all. Sigh.

If in fact this show is a scripted drama and not a reality show then the article was totally misleading.  A deceptive way to insert the names George and Amal.  So cheap.
