Um, I think you found good acting. But hey, you're entitled to your opinion.

The only reason why I went to see "Mr.& Mrs.Smith" with my ex-husband was the question if you could see them falling in love.
When we came out of the cinema, he said:"Yes, I saw it."     

Since then they have been through a lot. TOGETHER. Without any bigger scandals.
Plus 6(!) children, both still working like bees.

They have a pretty unique relationship.

If this isn't love, you can call me Mrs. Clooney.

And when you spend so many years together, it could indeed be the love of your life. Just saying...

 

Dior I would agree that at the time of the movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith they "fell in love" or perhaps in serious lust. And they had children together, but there are cracks even in that relationship that doesn't necessarily get in all the mainstream media but that is discussed within the industry.

They will always be bound by their children, no doubt about it, but not every couple that falls in love, stays in love. Just saying...

And what is "serious lust", please?

My expression to describe the fact that the film had them in various sexual scenes and after a while if you're spending that much time lip locked for a film, your 'lust' then becomes serious enough for you to want to continue the relationship after the film, and in Brad's case, walk away from your marriage.

Doesn't anyone remember the serious back lash they faced?  There are still people today who think Angelina is a home wrecker and won't go see any of her films.

Not to say that Brad and Jennifer didn't have issues because obviously, had they not Brad would not have left Jennifer, but many blamed Angelina for interfering in the marital bonds.  

And in this country, scorned wives have successfully sued the woman whose interference was the cause of their marriage breaking up.  It's called intentional interference (adultery).

I'd imagine it's about getting as much money
for themselves as possible.
Personally I don't believe in "guilty party" syndrome when any relationship ends.
Unless violence or another type of abuse is in involved.

Yeps, it´s all about the money, stone age or new age   

Probably more than money though it might be an issue of concern to the "injured" party if they are for instance, a woman who had stayed home with children and did not have a source of income at the time of breakup.

But I'm sure it could also have a lot to do with revenge, finding a way to assuage their anger and hurt feelings at being abandoned for another person.  Things like that.

Can men be home wreckers?  I suppose they also could be described like that but it seems that it's often applied to a woman who comes in between a marriage.  Not fair for sure, but when has anything about women been fair?

As to why people would blame Angelina and not Brad?  I'm sure there were those who blamed Brad too.  But I think in this case the backlash was worse against Angelina because she was unmarried at the time.  She was perceived as the interloper in the relationship.

Obviously, Brad had as much fault as Angelina and perhaps, based on some comments attributed to Jennifer at the time and after, Jennifer may have taken on some fault too - because if their marriage had been strong, then no other woman could have come in between them.  

But still, in this country where a good majority live in what in what is considered the Bible Belt - that is - areas where religion is of higher focus - the Brad Angelina story was not seen as a joyful love story, but the story of a woman who interfered in a marriage and of a man who did not honor his commitment to his marriage.

I simply loved the pictures, to me it show’s a genuine love, a lightness of being, what does the song say “a feeling of walking on air”. They look like they can laugh at life TOGETHER.

Re; breaking up of a marriage, Brad was married to a beautiful accomplished women.  Was there something missing, yes, obviously.  Maybe he just needed to “feel and be totally needed”. In which case Angelina could have been any women.  

Brad always reminds me of Bob the Builder, (can he fix it, yes he can).  Angelina, at that time irritated me, she needed fixing or something! (the blood, the brother...to me all tiresome)  Then Brad came along.... and made everything cool.

With Jennifer, there was nothing to fix.

Now I think they fit/fix each other to perfection ... I so hope it lasts forever and ever.

I will watch out for them tonight at the Oscars ....

You got something there wwhs. I never realised it, until recently...some men have enormous need to give, to provide, to feel needed by family, business, anything...

@ Carla ... yep not just some, a lot of men....and I think George too.

It's my understanding that Brad and Jen were having a difficult time managing their marraige when Angelina came along. I also belive that when the chemistry is there, it is hard to ignore. At first I thot Angelina to be the "home wrecker" but after seeing them together for so long, I now believe that this was a real relationship that just had bad timing at the beginning. And yes, every marraige has cracks in it. It's staying together to work them out that makes the difference to me.

LOL, I can imagine if this were a picture of George and a date and we'd all be saying how fake this looked, how he was dragging her along, how he's not looking at her, how her smile looks forced, how there's clearly no sexual chemistry between them at all etc etc.

But luckily it's not George, so we can be more generous in our picture interpretation.

Well, that applies to my parents. They both love me more than they love or like each other. That's obvious and they both admitted that to me.

That's sad sevens. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully, you won't let that stop you from finding your joy and love.

He recently said Hollywood is his big family...maybe he feels more needed in this industry

Or maybe it´s a marriage with convenience with the industry - never mind. I am having a bad day...even though it is good workwise
