Hello all! I thought I would introduce myself before I take the posting plunge! I've spent the past couple of weeks lurking about, then finally decided to join yesterday. First of all, this is a lovely forum, filled with a treasure trove of all things George. Much of it is new to me, as I'm a *new* fan of GC. A big thank you to all who find and post articles, photos, and tidbits. I will try my best to be an active member and share anything I find as well. As I don't live in a cave, George Clooney has been an inescapable part of my cultural landscape since ER - and I have enjoyed and been well aware of many of his films and humanitarian efforts through the years. But it wasn't until I met him that I truly appreciated what all the fuss was about. Sigh. I have had the opportunity to meet and speak with him 3 times since November, and let me tell you - I am a smitten kitten. Rawr! He is astonishingly good looking in person, and his charm and good nature have cast their spell on me. I've had occasion to meet many actors and celebrities, but GC is in a class by himself. Anyway, I've spent the past couple of months revisiting his films, reading articles and enjoying the myriad of photos on the internet. Hee. I decided to join a forum because it's always a pleasure to share an admiration of someone with people who feel likewise. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone! Please feel free to ask me anything you might be curious about and I'll do my best to answer. Otherwise I don't want my first post to be so long it sends everyone into a coma.

Thank you for the warm welcome! Joanna, I really do live in Studio City - right on the cusp of Studio City/Burbank/North Hollywood. GC is right up the hill somewhere. Ha. So yes, sadDonkey, G and I ARE practically neighbors, although he's in the swanky neighborhood and I'm not. He does frequent at least 2 of my favorite bars, although I've never personally seen him at either - but our first chat together was about that very thing. Some of you are probably familiar with one of them; as his production company is named after it. Sadly for me I have to work today, but I will be happy to share in the appropriate thread when I have time, perhaps later this evening. If I'm not sobbing in my whiskey over Oscar results.

The production company you referred to, would that be Smokehouse Productions?

Well, hopefully we'll having a celebratory whiskey instead! Yeppers, that would indeed be the Smokehouse. I absolutely love that place. The bar is like a dark Vegas lounge. I told him next time I go there, I'll have a drink for him. He said "Have two!".

Yep, I still live in Studio City. Actually, I'm on the border. I live near Universal Studios...they all kind of blend into one area just over the Hollywood Hills on the valley side. No. I wasn't *into* George until I actually met him a couple of months ago. But I have been to the Leno show a few times through the years. My favorite talk show to visit is Craig Ferguson. Does anyone know if G has done that one? Those two would be off the wall together.

I've not ever seen that George has done Craig's show, but I agree that it would be one crazy meeting!!!
