Information
It has been estimated, for example, that in the Sunday edition of the "New York Times" is contained more information than an enlightened academic immagazzinarne of the eighteenth century could in a lifetime.

In this context, how to choose what to store and what not? Several theories argue that education should not be something invasive, that should not lead to a pedantic attitude towards knowledge, but rather should be presented as a stage in our training that can provide us with a mindset, then leaving us alone in front of the 'immensity of human culture. It should not therefore inculcate a content ready, packed and should be taught to learn.
A metaphor approaching education sculpture, shaping the formless matter. Lima, corrects, but that does not add anything. If anything takes. An individual properly trained to be able to succeed in a work of selection and decomposition of knowledge.
Of course the selection is not easy in front of the amount of information that hits us these days. Then another mechanism that we have to make our own is that of deconstruction. Cognitions should be forgotten and replaced by more modern. We must try to be flexible, almost like a digital memory.
To periodically clean the hard disk, and a date nature of the software, so to speak, can be a good habit. To return to character education, it must look like a caress made to our soul.
It should not be intrusive, or impose something. But unfortunately, education is closely linked to the political and social structures of a people. We, who, as he wrote Jean-Paul Sartre, as manufacturers, we have become consumers, we have created mechanisms such as competition, which penetrate into the cultural fabric of the new generations: we constantly strive to be better than others, to overcome them, without giving anyone the our loyalty. Transpositions practices of this reality are phenomena such as "Big Brother" reality show that has infested almost all civilized countries, and cover entire sections of the population, you will recognize. All this suggests that something needs to be changed, not only in the educational process, but in the social structures themselves.
interesting
no?

Re: Information
Right.
Don’t worry. Some of us do, not all
Newspaper houses are struggling… people read blogs, facebook, tweets etc…and value for the information is? Only beauty of the twitter is that those tweets are so short. Could be much shorter for all I care.
Come to think of it I never heard anyone wanting more brain capacity…
Sartre? As far as I remember he borrowed a lot of ideas from kierkegaard and heidegger...
What happened to the pancakes.
Lunch time, food is on my mind
