Yes, I would love to see the press give the same banal treatment to the men on the Oscar red carpet and at all the other award shows.  Actually it would be hilarious.  Just reading some of the comments from the men at the BAFTAS it does put them on the spot.

Really I wish that actresses would just stop showcasing their gowns so much and direct the conversation to what movie they are representing.   It's the questions that get asked of everyone who  walks the red carpet that are so embarrassing.  I cringe sometimes when watching these shows.  We could easily come up with better questions that the press does.

It was so refreshing after the GGlobes. But then, the BAFTAs has always been about honouring film, not fashion, and its remit was summed up perfectly and brilliantly in Mike Leigh's fellowship award and acceptance speech.

An armed guard was posted with the helicopter and it was the coldest night we'd had.

So PP, invite them in for a hot drink !

You get a call from an old friend who used to help you make connections that a foreign born A list actor is looking for some company and you would be perfect. You see your chance. You seduce him the first night so the pregnancy story will work. A month later you tell him you are pregnant. He now is not only giving you money which you funnel to your boyfriend, but the actor even marries you because he is a standup guy who won’t leave his pregnant girlfriend single.
