George Clooney returns to Germany and goes back to filming

Seems pretty clear he went to Como for a short break. Then he went back to Germany to continue working. I don't get all the conspiracy theories. The guy is a rich man with access to a private plane. He has a Villa within an hour's flight from Germany. They took a break.

I like that he has Einstein with him and is holding his leash. Nothing like a man with his dog.

These are pix from when they left Cochsted airport, Magdeburg to go to Lugano, and then Como. Don't think His Nibs is back in Germany yet......

I wondered whether he took the work they've done for editing
in his studio at Laglia and combined it with a family reunion

According to Thal. A touch of Hollywood on Monday blew through the street Wild men in Lautenthal. For about eight clock rustled military vehicles, buses with about 150 extras and large luxury cars towards mining museum, where scenes for the Hollywood movie "The Monuments Men "were filmed.

Lautenthal. Ein Hauch von Hollywood wehte am Montag durch die Wildemanner Straße in Lautenthal. Seit etwa acht Uhr rauschten Militärautos, Busse mit etwa 150 Komparsen und große Luxuskarossen in Richtung Bergbaumuseum, wo Szenen für den Hollywood-Streifen „The Monuments Men“ gedreht wurden.

Welcher Star hinter welcher abgedunkelten Scheibe zum Set chauffiert wurde, war nur schwer zu erkennen. Doch bei den Dreharbeiten in der Bergstadt kam mit George Clooney, Matt Damon, Bill Murray und John Goodman die erste Riege der Stars zum Einsatz.

George Clooney war erst am Sonntagabend um 17.45 Uhr in Magdeburg-Cochstedt gelandet. Die Drehpause am Wochenende nutzte er offenbar für einen Trip nach Hause. Am Abend genossen Clooney und Matt Damon den Ausklang des Wochenendes bei einem gemeinsamen Essen in den „Rothen Forellen“ in Ilsenburg. Damon zeigte sich dort am Abend mit seinen drei Kindern.

After Matt Damon and George Clooney last week Thursday were launched from Magdeburg Cochstedt, the two Hollywood stars were spotted again in Ilsenburg on Sunday evening.

Apparently, the Hollywood stars have only indulged in a long weekend away from their current locations in Saxony-Anhalt. After George Clooney and Matt Damon were started by the Regional Airport Magdeburg-Cochstedt with charter flights last Thursday, they were spotted again in Ilsenburg on Sunday evening.

Offenbar haben sich die Hollywood-Stars nur ein verlängertes Wochenende fernab ihrer aktuellen Drehorte in Sachsen-Anhalt gegönnt. Nachdem Georg Clooney und Matt Damon am vergangenen Donnerstag vom Regionalflughafen Magdeburg-Cochstedt mit Chartermaschinen gestartet waren, wurden sie am Sonntagabend wieder in Ilsenburg gesichtet.

Flughafensprecher Jens Galkow bestätigte am Montag auf Anfrage, dass zuvor insgesamt drei Jets gelandet waren. In einem saß der 42-jährige Damon mit seinen Töchtern. Die letzten Stunden vor Beginn der neuerlichen Dreharbeiten zum Film „The Monuments Men“ verbrachte der Hollywoodstar im Nobelhotel „Rote Forellen“ in Ilsenburg. Dort beobachtete er unter anderem einen Schwan im „Forellenteich“. Bis Ende des Monats drehen mehrere amerikanische Schauspieler im Harz, in ein paar Tagen wird der Dom von Halberstadt für Aufnahmen genutzt.

Definitely the UK, with Jean Dujardin, according to him, but of course things change, but trips were made to a couple of venues in the country surrounding London. Not sure about France, as they managed to make a German street look like Belgium!

Ilsenburg. Wo ist er? Was trägt er? Wer hat ihn gesehen? Hollywood ist vorübergehend im Harz eingezogen - allerdings für die meisten unsichtbar. Zwar haben Fotografen George Clooney mal am regionalen Flughafen, mal vor einem Restaurant fotografiert. Wo genau der Schauspieler und Regisseur für seinen neuen Film "The Monuments Men" dreht, soll geheimbleiben, um die Dreharbeiten nicht zu gefährden, sagt der Sprecher des Studios Babelsberg, Eike Wolf. Also lebt der Harz zwischen Spannung und Spekulation. Fest steht: Zur Besetzung von Clooneys neuem Werk gehören Matt Damon, Bill Murray und Cate Blanchett.
Im idyllischen Ilsenburg hat sich Clooney für mehrere Wochen im einzigen Fünf-Sterne-Hotel Sachsen-Anhalts eingemietet. Alle anderen Hotels des kleinen Ortes sind so gut wie ausgebucht, sagt Bürgermeister Denis Loeffke (CDU). Das Eiscafé, der Markt, alles ist belebter als sonst. Vor dem Hotel, in dem Clooney residiert, stünden nie mehr als fünf bis zehn Schaulustige, meist seien es Spaziergänger oder Fotografen. Der Bürgermeister setzt darauf, dass er den Clooney-Besuch auch in Zukunft nutzen darf, um Touristen anzulocken. "Ilsenburg ist spürbar nach vorn gerückt bundesweit", sagt Loeffke. Es gebe mehr Anfragen bei der Tourismus GmbH. "Es profitieren alle davon."

Hollywood lebt von Geschichten, und so ähnlich läuft es auch im Harz: Hier erzählt man sich etwa die Geschichte eines flüchtenden Clooney, der einer Autofahrerin Geld bietet, damit er in ihrem Auto von den Fotografen unerkannt davonfahren kann. An den bisherigen Drehorten konnten Fotografen keine großen Trauben von Fans sichten, die sich einen Blick auf die Hollywood-Stars erhoffen. Viele wissen inzwischen von den umfangreichen Absperrungen.
"Die Dreharbeiten haben zum Teil Einschränkungen für die Bevölkerung gebracht, vor allem wenn Straßen gesperrt waren", sagt Eva Ronkainen vom Harzer Tourismusverband. "Es ist aber trotzdem schön für den Harz, dass Hollywood hierhergekommen ist." Langfristig erwartet sie keine nennenswerten Auswirkungen für den Tourismus in der Region. Das sieht auch René Kauschus, Chef des Dehoga-Landesverbandes Sachsen-Anhalt, so. "Natürlich ist das eine gute Werbung für die Region." Der Effekt werde aber nicht lang anhalten. Seiner Ansicht nach profitiert vor allem Ilsenburg von dem Clooney-Aufenthalt.

In Merseburg, dem ersten Drehort in Sachsen-Anhalt, blieb der Fan-Ansturm aus. Gedreht wurde hauptsächlich im Dom. Und das höchst professionell, wie Domführerin Beate Tippelt beobachtet hat. Sie konnte als eine der wenigen einen Blick hinter die Kulissen werfen. Es sei erstaunlich gewesen, wie schnell die Crew alles auf- und auch wieder abgebaut habe. "Als wären sie nie dagewesen", sagt Tippelt. Das Buch, das als Grundlage zum Film dient, und an der Domkasse auslag, sei längst vergriffen. "Es fragen immer mal wieder Besucher nach, wie es war und was passiert ist", berichtet Tippelt. "Das gehört jetzt zu der Geschichte des Doms dazu."

Hollywood im Harz: George Clooney hat am Mittwoch, 15. Mai, in Osterwieck gedreht - ohne seinen Hund "Einstein". Der Vierbeiner - frischfrisiert- tanzt der Nanny auf der Nase herum. Still und heimlich ist im Quartierort der Hollywoodstars in Ilsenburg Oscarpreisträger Dujardin angereist. Womöglich kommt der Franzose beim Dreh im Halberstädter Dom zum Ein satz.
