What I think of George
What I think of George? I think it is a man who has lost hope of being happy with a woman and accepted a fate with a woman who does not love that endures only for short periods so as not to fail again, a man who is afraid of loneliness. We wonder why Stacy is not convincing, simply because it is not even convinced him. Is struggling (now OIU than ever) seem to love, but also it is a great actor he can not, does the joker laughs but not convincing. I now look like a man who regrets the past that did not have the courage to live and think to Celine, Lisa, Elizabeth, where you could see the love George, now I only see a George unmotivated and passive. Stacy (although I do not like) does not deserve this, it's a sweet girl who certainly lacks class, but is making great efforts to ogtni event looks like a different person, yesterday was trying to be sexy now tries to be a lady. For every red carpet looks like a different woman but unfortunately he was unable to ever be herself and he seems to not rub a dick. Today is Stacy because it suits them to have fun tomorrow but prefer friends and she has no time to throw away (the birthday of a person is once a year and he could not move the flight from New York to Los Angeles two days later?).

Re: What I think of George
Dear lela,
do not worry about Keibler and her efforts on the red carpets.
She is doing this for herself. She wants to be famous, she does not even care for what, but she wants it so badly.
She wants to be admired for her beauty (cough..cough..pardon), for being with George and for just being her silly self as she does not really got anything else to offer.
So at the public events you see the iron woman at work. She wants to play in the upper class, this woman is hungry.
From what I see, George is the giving part here, he establishes her vacations, the opportunities to present herself one league above and she's getting expensive gifts like diamond earrings etc.
But she is still hungry ...she will need more and more and more.
Good night, George Clooney

Re: What I think of George
Based on his choice of companionship, I'd say George is a bit of a sexist who picks his girl friends based solely on the way they look. He also seems to pick girls who will accommodate any "needs" he might have and apparently likes those who have provided lots of photographic entertainment for other guys. I know guys like him. They love hanging with their friends and working. The girl friends they pick fit their lifestyle. They last a few months to even a few years.
As far as Stacy goes, it does seem that she might last longer, if only because she's an American, lives in L.A., knows the entertainment business here, is desperate to be seen and so is more than willing to go to red carpet event after red carpet event. She's also more than happy to accommodate his schedule. She's easy, and I don't mean that rudely. So, because she's happy with the status quo, I think she'll be with him for a while yet.
I have to admit, after reading the stuff on this website, my original view of George has changed. I started to dislike him a bit because I do think he's a sexist but, after reading posts from so many of this site's regulars, I've come to the conclusion that he's like all of us. He's not perfect. He seems to be able to compartmentalize his life and more power to him.

No offense to anyone's attempt to discuss in English but I did find that turn of phrase a bit confusing.
But Way2 I almost choked from laughing so hard at your comment... "where did I leave my porn-to-English dictionary?"

Most interesting. Maybe she does realize that her time with George has an expiration date but the more exposure she gets with him the more potential for work. But here's a thought that popped into my head - as you said upper class. Maybe her ultimate goal is to marry rich - not George - but there are a lot of very wealthy men who could be interested in her. I mean she's got decent genes so kids would be nice looking. And she can be "styled" correctly with enough money behind her.
Hmm, will have to think about this one.
Sorry got off topic there but found dior's comment intriguing.
So what do I think of George in relation to this scenario? He's a facilitator.
Ok, answered on topic - whew!

Re: What I think of George
I agree with you all! You are right, or someone is more or less so…
But if her ultimate goal is to marry rich, well, I don´t think it is humanly possible. (What is a definition of rich here?)
Any rich man that incompetent has a guardian. It stops there.
Also I have to disagree with Lela, no amount of money will clean her up. "it´s like putting lipstick to a pig and it is still a pig.”
Yeah, he likes pigs – so it all makes perfect sense.

Stacy's career because at the moment has a career? Receive invitations to attend parades (who is paid parades!), To show charity (not earn a dollar), presents a preview of the pots, maybe do a show or do not know what the supermarket. In a year it has made important she accompanied George on the red carpet but this is also a free labor! Maybe I'm missing something?

Re: What I think of George
Being with George doesn't seem to help any of the women he chooses, at least long term. During their time with him, they benefit financially. When it's over, their financial windfall seems to evaporate. Why? Because all of the women he hooks up with have two "talents.". They physically appeal to men and are considered "hot" and they know how to please George...until he gets tired of them and moves on. Then, because they don't have acting talent or business acumen, they go back to whatever it was they did before George.
Stacy makes a living hosting parties and attending store and club openings. She also has a fan base from wrestling. She will go back to appearances and parties. Altho, I do have to say, this girl got game. She's kind of fun to watch, now that my George crush has turned into a liking his work and his political/charitable causes, rather then lusting after his body. I guess knowing too much about some actors isn't good for the libido...at least not mine. (-:

Re: What I think of George
I'm copying these comments from the Sarah Larson thread over to this one because I think they're relevant here too:
lelacorb wrote:Katiedot wrote:Not only that, but he'd also actually make the effort to fool people, wouldn't he? I mean, there's no point in not pretending with your pretend girlfriend, that defeats the purpose of it.Mizerello wrote: If he were dating these women for PR reasons, he'd choose a different type.

Katiedot wrote:But what good is a screen that doesn't screen?
lelacorb wrote:Katiedot wrote:But what good is a screen that doesn't screen?
Katie a screen can hide! What? Many things
Katiedot wrote:Yes I understand that a screen can hide things, but you're saying that the screen is not working. So my question is, what's the point of a screen that doesn't work?
In other words, what's the point of having a fake girlfriend when the whole world can see it's fake?
Mizerello wrote:And that is why the whole bs about him being gay is just that...bs. If he were using these women as screens, wouldn't it be easier to stick with one for a much longer time and act like you care? And, if it were only a screen, based on the ridicule he gets all over the web and even now in print, wouldn't he choose a different "screen" more "acceptable" to his fan base?
In looking at all the women on this site, they all pretty much have a look. Stacy looks a lot like Sarah, just taller and larger boned. He obviously likes them young and he likes women who are definitely unafraid to show some skin.
George is a player and in my experience, lots of players stay players, even as they get older. Not everyone is cut out for longterm relationships. He gets bored and moves on to the next one. If he were using these women as a screen, he'd stick with one and play in private.
party animal - not! wrote:Our perception of GC being a player doesn't quite stack up to his claim of liking and dating strong, independent women who get fed up after two or three years with his work schedule, which he regards as a 'selfish way of life'.
He has also been quoted as saying his track record at relationships is not very good either! Sometimes you could wonder about his own self-doubt, but then you realise that we're talking about George Clooney here!

Re: What I think of George
What I've learned about George since coming here is he says a lot of things and like a lot of people...hell, most people, much of what he says is bullish*t. He doesn't like strong women. He likes young, sexy women who are willing to devote their lives to him in the hope that they'll become famous. he has been clear about not wanting a long term relationship. At least, unlike many men I've known, he's honest about it to a certain degree. His problem is that societal norms dictate a man his age should settle down. If he's happy more power to him.
I don't think we can judge what makes another person happy. But I also think ascribing romantic notions to his life--he only moves on or dates the kind of woman he does because he doesn't want to disappoint them blah blah blah. He's so busy, they get bored...it's unfair to the woman...that is all bullish*t from a guy trying to make himself look better to his fan base. He's a player period.
He likes women and he gets bored easily. He's no different than a lot of guys we've all met with one big exception, he's famous and rich enough he can keep playing the game and girls are willing to play along. John Q Public can't do it forever because women around him wise up and tell him to take a flying leap!
Who knows, maybe he's tired of the game and Stacy hit it at just the right time. Weirder things have happened (-:
