I wonder if he flies private airlines all the time now or if he occasionally still takes commercial flights?

I've seen both in the past.

I don't find it unusual that he would haul his own luggage, unless he had an extreme amount that required a bellhop or something.

Did anyone pay attention to the part in the second article where it said Amal and George switch off making the kids breakfast and lunch? I was wondering how accurate this was, as I thought they had a personal cook. Perhaps she just makes dinner and doesn't cook 3 meals a day? I also didn't think Amal cooked at all, although perhaps she has learned over the years that they've had children.

Amal Clooney looked elegant and chic as she stepped out for dinner in New York on Wednesday evening after a day of work at the UN Assembly. 
The British-Lebanese lawyer, activist, and philanthropist, 45, looked stunning as she swapped her elegant business suit from earlier in the day for a chic mini. 
Her mirrored dress showcased her endless legs with an edgy touch thanks to the mirrored detailing, while she paired the look with an over-sized blazer. 
Earlier in the day, Amal spoke at the High-Level Dialogue on the Declaration Against Arbitrary Detention in State-to-State Relations on the sidelines of the 78th United Nations General Assembly.
Arbitrary arrest and arbitrary detention is the arrest or detention of an individual in a case in which there is no likelihood or evidence that they committed a crime against legal statute, or in which there has been no proper due process of law or order.

The US Government website lists: 'This High-Level Dialogue, co-hosted by Canada, Costa Rica, Malawi and the United States, reaffirms the international community’s commitment to addressing the urgent issue of arbitrary detention in state-to-state relations. 
'Recognizing that this issue transcends geographic boundaries, we stand in solidarity with the victims, survivors and families who have endured this disturbing practice, which flagrantly violates the human rights of all those affected.'
Her trip to New York comes after she joined her actor husband George in spending time in Italy with their two children. 
The glamorous couple, who wowed in Venice at the 80th Film Festival earlier this month, have 'formed a real partnership' when it comes to parenting their twins Ella and Alexander, six, according to US Weekly.
The outlet quoted a source who said during their time at their Lake Como home, both George, 62, and Amal  are 'taking turns with taking the kids to activities.'
The human rights attorney and the Oscar winner also switch off 'preparing the kids’ breakfast and lunches,' as well. 
The insider claims both enjoy cooking and want to make meal times special. The Ticket To Paradise star has come a long way since his bachelor days.
George's former co-stars Nicole Kidman and Michele Pfeiffer each famously bet him $10,000 that he would be married or have kids by the time he was 40.

George Clooney proved the old adage that men age like fine wine. 
The 62-year-old Ocean's Twelve heartthrob looked effortlessly dapper when he arrived at JFK Airport in New York on Friday. 
He wore a simple black polo shirt with tan slacks, hiding his face behind a pair of aviator sunglasses. 
Rounding out his airport ensemble were a pair of sensible brown loafers.  He also sported a smart silver watch on one wrist as he carried his own luggage in both hands with ease. 
The star was also carrying his own luggage.

The ageless actor – who has formed 'a real partnership' with wife Amal Clooney when it comes to raising their 6-year-old twins Ella and Alexander — drew attention from fans nearby at the airport without even trying. 
Secure in himself, George was perfectly happy to take a backseat and let his wife shine back in August when she accepted a DVF Leadership award at the Venice International Film Festival. 
The ER star looked more in love than ever with his wife of nearly nine years — with the couple set to celebrate nearly a decade of nuptial bliss on September 27th. 
However, it hasn't been all glitz and glam for the A-lister, who made sure to help his fellow actors on strike by donating $1 million to SAG-AFTRA.

The Monuments Man star continued to reflect in his speech at the conference, adding, 'I think a lot of the actors who have been very successful over time.'
Counting himself among their numbers, he reiterated that it was important for them to 'pitch in.' 
That way they could be part of the solution to hopefully end the strike with a fair deal for everyone involved. 
He wisely noted that successful stars showing support was vital so they weren't, 'part of the problem.'
