George Clooney Interview "Facts of Life" (Merv Griffin Show 1985)
How's this for a blast from the past? I know we've got it on this forum already, but it's always worth another viewing:
Here's George Clooney sporting a mullet long before he reached superstardom. His claim to fame at this stage was being on the sitcom 'The Facts Of Life". Merv Griffin had over 5000 guests appear on his show from 1963-1986. Footage from the Merv Griffin Show is available for licensing to all forms of media through Reelin' In The Years Productions. I like the shirt! (Not a fan of the socks, though.) The hair is great, too considering when this was and how old he was. I'm just impressed with how comfortable and composed he was, although maybe that's because he already knew Merv Griffin.

Yea. Even at his young age he looked pretty comfortable in his own skin. No airs. Pretty down to earth. Still the same guy. If I heard him talk but didn’t know who he was I would never guess George. His voice from the late 90s till now is so much deeper and distinctive. He had incredible hair. So much of it! But that outfit. THOSE PANTS! With that shirt. Yikes!
Donnamarie- Possibly more Clooney than George himself

It's the trousers/socks/shoes combo that's melting my brain!! And his voice! It's somehow very Clooney and yet not at all like him now.
He really does look comfortable there though, doesn't he? I'd guess a lifetime of being around his dad's shows helped him here.

Nothing has changed - consistent as ever, self-deprecating, does his research on he's going to
be with (see the latest Graham Norton Show), never seems fazed - and utterly charming
party animal - not!- George Clooney fan forever!
