Amal Clooney Has Found the Perfect Post-Baby Workout Top—And It’s Only $39
AUGUST 17, 2017 7:53 PM
by EDWARD BARSAMIAN
Photo: AKM-GSI
Amal Clooney made a splash at the beginning of August, when she made her first public post-pregnancy appearance in Elisabetta Franchi’s striped and strapless jumpsuit. It was an unexpectedly daring look for the human rights attorney, punctuated by tassel earrings designed by her sister Tala Alamuddin and a metallic clutch from Sarah’s Bag. This week, however, Clooney returned to form. In Italy with her husband George and the twins Alexander and Ella, the new mom decided to play a few rounds of tennis and her workout ensemble—a tailored tank and flounced hem skirt—proved that sporty style does not mean sloppy.
Clooney put on Sundek’s signature logo top, which retails for under $40, providing a retro nod to the current logomania craze. Offsetting the piece was a mini skirt that paired well with optic white kicks and coordinating socks for a leg-lengthening effect. A futuristic visor blocked out harmful UV rays, but Clooney’s best accessory was her fresh (and makeup-free) face.

Thanks carol. I'm wondering where this picture was taken. Too bad we can't see George 's face.

Very surprised that Vogue has published this - especially from this organisation - unless the Clooneys okayed it.
Very sweet tho. They look like two naughty children trying to find the tennis court.......

Just my opinion, but I think she looks so much prettier - and younger - without makeup. George looks to be in pretty good shape, too. I just wish he'd lose the fuzz.

They both look really good. Parenthood and Italian life must agree with them.
Doesn't George have a tennis court on his property?

Looking sporty! George and Amal Clooney were spotted holding hands after playing tennis together in Laglio, Italy, on Thursday, August 17.
The two-time Oscar winner, 56, stepped out in a dark polo shirt, black gym shorts and white sneakers, while the human rights attorney, 39, rocked a black tank top, a matching skirt, white tennis shoes. She tied her hair back in a ponytail and wore a visor.

The couple welcomed twins, a daughter named Ella and a son named Alexander, in London on June 6. "This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine. George is sedated and should recover in a few days," the actor's rep said in a statement to Us Weekly at the time.
The longtime bachelor is adjusting to fatherhood nicely, too. "He's so happy with his life. It's just life in general and having those kids is, you know, such an incredible feeling for him and Amal," George's close friend and business partner Rande Gerber told Entertainment Tonightin June. "The kids are the perfect mix of both George and Amal. They really are so cute."
As for how Amal is enjoying motherhood, Gerber added, "She's amazing. She's a natural. She looks beautiful. I mean, they're doing great."

I completely agree that she looks better without so much make-up. She just looks softer and prettier.LizzyNY wrote:Just my opinion, but I think she looks so much prettier - and younger - without makeup. George looks to be in pretty good shape, too. I just wish he'd lose the fuzz.
There are lots of women that would look better without so much make-up, but it's almost impossible to convince them of that.

Re: George and Amal in tennis dresses
I'm not a fan of commenting on Amal's looks but have to say that in these pictures she looks absolutely fabulous. Young and fresh and yes, pretty.
I don't think she's makeup free in these pics, but this look really suits her. I suspect it's because we can't see her eyebrows (my pet peeve about her look is the overly heavy, highly arched brows she's got going these past couple of years).
Anyway, yes, it's nice to see them out and about and George is looking in great shape here.

Re: George and Amal in tennis dresses
Ummm.......do many ladies wear a lot of makeup
when playing tennis ?
Zooming in I can see minimal makeup.....pinkish lippy and eyeliner, maybe tinted moisturiser, coupled with
a healthy post tennis glow.
As you say, nice to see them out enjoying their activities and dinner out with Gio.
I believe that heavier makeup is required by ladies when at functions or red carpets. Otherwise with the continual camera flashes they would look "pale and wan."
E.G......television studio and Vegas type weddings
require heavier makeup under camera lights.
Hope they're enjoying their Como holiday.

Re: George and Amal in tennis dresses
So many questions.
Why do they look so serious after couple's tennis?
Where is their tennis gear? Is somebody walking behind them, carrying two gym bags?
Where is this court, with concrete walks and brick walls and trash containers?
Is that a cartoon character on the (?) key chain in their shared hand?

One more question for Way2Old's list: Don't they ever put down those damned phones? I'm starting to think they've had them surgically attached to their hands!

Yeah, that was another cut of slack for me. They don't both need them, if something happened at home, but as new parents, they think they do.

Re: George and Amal in tennis dresses
Almost everyone carries a phone on them wherever they go ... it's like an appendage. As an old schooler myself it seems silly to feel like you always need to be connected. But in George and Amal's case as with many people who have a lot going on in their lives, not to mention two new babies at home, it seems natural that they both would be carrying.

They both have famiy and business to take care of not to mention two little one's
at home. So to me it makes perfect sense they each have their phones with them.

I understand all that, but they both also have pockets and purses and assistants - yet the phones are almost always in their hands. The phone still works if it isn't in your hand!

Re: George and Amal in tennis dresses
Sorry Lizzy I even carry my phone when I'm in toilet. And inevitably I've thrown or dropped my phone accidently several times and those screens have got some damage over the years.

Heard recently of some young things who decided when they were all out for dinner to put all their phones in the centre of the table - and the first one to pick theirs up paid the bill!!
Brilliant!

PAN - Love it! In my home the dinner table/dinner time is a no phone zone. Anyone who can't live with that can go eat somewhere else. Less work for me!

Ahh now we know... the secret to keeping love alive .... Good old EROTIC ROLE PLAY.... love the dress up, and behind the trash bins in daylight really spices things up... little wonder they look guilty....
I wondered when he got the ride on mower did it come with a set of royal ears....Many a couple keep things fresh by role playing Charles and Camilla.....I've heard it's the most played of all time.... I grew up listening to Burton and Taylor but that's another story....

Oops on foot of above post I received a pm....as you will see I upset someone, not my intention.....it just appeared as an obvious giggle, nothing more....tennis being all pristine white bobby socks, frilly panties and a tap on the a@@s by a passing racket.... I agree it was a cheeky cheap shot....reminding me of my misspent youth.... the road to sainthood was full of fun....oh the long summer evening spent at the back of the clubhouse by the bins.....happy days.....no excuse, just a fun filled youth....I stupidly shared on a public forum.... for FUN....
From the pm....
"aren't you a Nun? Even if you thought this, why did you share it on a public forum?"

WWHS - Are you?!
By the bye, I saw several articles online today that featured the same photos we have here. They all said the same thing. Amal looked radiant and George looked tired. IMO, they both look tired, which I attribute to having just played tennis in the heat.
PS. I don't know where to put this: The NY Daily News has an article on the "Top 10" most expensive dresses. Amal's wedding dress clocks in at #6, at $380,000. I wonder if she bought it or if it was a loaner (for the publicity for de la Renta). They say Nicole Kidman got paid $2 million to wear a Tom Ford gown to the Oscars.

Re: George and Amal in tennis dresses
Hey WWHS.....You've reminded me of some
happy exciting times.....
One in the "old fashioned AA Box" on the side of
an A Road.
Do you remember those A A Boxes ?
(For those who wonder "what on earth is she on about"
they were where one could phone direct when having a car breakdown.
A small locked unit big enough to hold two people.....
with a convenient shelf where the phone was)
So sorry to go off topic folks xx
