I know this sounds pompous and pious but
I always think that "we" are millionaires,
compared to so many millions who live
in poverty in other parts of the world.

We are blessed to have been born in

Yes people have the right to blow their money on whatever they want to. You can tear it in little pieces and put it in the toilet and that is your right. I'm not arguing that. But let's get rid of this  notion that she's spending most of her time working for the little people. She chooses high profile human rights cases.
If she even matches what she spends on clothes to give to charity, then she must have a money tree in her backyard. That or a very wealthy husband.

Well, that's probably true. I mean, most gold diggers make the grades to attend and graduate from some of the best universities in the world, put in the work to graduate from an Ivy League law school and pass bar exams on two different continents, and spend a decade working at some of the highest levels of law (the Supreme Court, the UN) possible purely as a means to an end for trapping and marrying a rich dude.  All this time, Amal has been playing the long con.

Thanks, Mel. Yes, this is the driver/bodyguard that George has had for some years now (I think we've even seen him in pictures with Elisabetta). Interesting to see how many posters here are happy to blame this on Amal though . . .

Yes, I think this is the guy who is a retired cop, and so has a little extra authority when dealing with paparazzi who cross the line.
