George Clooney and his fiancee Amal Alamuddin mingle with their family and friends while out for dinner at Ristorante La Colombetta on Wednesday night (July 2) in Lake Como, Italy.

The 53-year-old actor’s parents Nick and Nina joined the couple for dinner after arriving in town earlier in the week. Amal‘s mother was reportedly also in town so it is likely they all got to meet!

George Clooney takes Amal to dinner with his parents in Lake Como as they 'plan the wedding of the year'

He's been hosting his parents at his Italian villa in Lake Como this week.
And on Wednesday George Clooney was spotted enjoying dinner with his family and fiance Amal Alamuddin at La Colombera restaurant.
The 53-year-old actor and his lawyer beau have seen both their families visit the Italian lakeside town over the last two weeks, including Amal's mother Baria.

Wearing a dapper dark toned suit and matching shirt  (sans tie), the Ocean's Eleven actor sported black leather loafers as he enjoyed the night out with his loved ones.
Last week Amal and her mother were seen in Lake Como to visit Clooney’s Italian villa in what it is thought was the actor’s first meeting with his future mother-in-law.

And on Monday the star’s parents were also spotted in the picturesque location, where it is believed the couple will marry in September - after MailOnline revealed they were jetting in to help their A list son with his wedding plans,

Although Amal’s journalist mother Baria is said to have headed home on Tuesday after one night, she may have met his parents on the trip too, as it is unclear when they arrived.
The happy couple could have called their families to Lake Como to help them scout potential wedding venues.

George’s mother Nina, a former beauty queen and councilwoman, and former anchorman and game show host father Nick, were spotted visiting the luxurious Hotel Bellagio.

They couldn’t have looked more pleased for their Hollywood heartthrob son’s future as they giggled away on a boat ride to the resort.
Nina has previously expressed her fondness for her future daughter-in-law, who she has met several times, saying: ‘You can say I’m extremely happy. Amal’s a lovely girl. I like her very much.’

Nick, who turned 80 this year, will be celebrating his 55th wedding anniversary with Nina, 74, in August.

According to Life&Style George and Amal have been busy trying to find the perfect spot in Lake Como to exchange vows.


‘They checked out Hotel Villa D’Este at Cernobbio, which is famous for organizing high-profile weddings,’ a source told the publication. ‘They also had a romantic dinner for two there.’

But the 53-year-old Gravity star may well tie the knot with the 36-year-old at his own home.

Laws have been put in place by the Lake Como mayor to guarantee George’s privacy at his £25million mansion, and are in operation 24 hours a day until September 30.

Pedestrians are banned from stopping on the road outside the 30-bedroom property, while anyone caught swimming within 100 metres of it will be fined up to £450.

Why wouldn't George be just as happy as everyone else in the group?  I think people read too much into split second snapshots.  Maybe he had a little indigestion?  There could be a thousand reasons for him not smiling but that doesn't mean he's pissed!  Why would he be pissed?  He's there having dinner with his friends, family and the love of his life!

To be honest I don't see a "pissed off George" nor do I see people "giddy with excitement."
I see a group of family and friends either arriving for dinner or
leaving after dinner. Period.

Does no one really understand the facts surrounding impromptu/non posed photos ?
Next time you're in a group of people, just take some impromptu photos on your
smart phone without people knowing. Enlightenment may then occur about facial expressions !

As Lighter says, people misunderstand split second photos all the time on here.
Mind you, it's always the same posters commenting about how desperately
unhappy George looks, so it must be wishful thinking on their part I suppose.

Exactly, Lighter........a few flashes from a pap - and we can read his mind!?? That alone would give him cause sometimes to look cheesed off, but this place is in the centre of Como, so there's was always going to a chance....he's certainly not miserable when he turns to look at Amal.

George has that groom- to- be look  especially when leaning in to kiss the woman.  Yup, wedding is on, folks.  Get ready.  Only thing I find less than wedding-ish... when they enter the restaurant, why is he so far ahead of her, instead of holding her hand, as at the engagement party?    (photo 1 and 5).  Just asking............

Probably because he's the host and wants to check everything is in order ?

Let's just agree that he, according to your constant comments, will NEVER,EVER look (happy!) with Amal, and has never looked (happy!) with any other human being who is linked to him romantically, and keep fooling yourselves that he looks happier or different with others.. He looks THE SAME with everyone, THAT'S how he looks all the time, and he is JUST AN ACTOR so stop whining about everything and find something to do!! I think PAN was replying to Melbert's post about Ben's wife. But she wrote Jo instead of Melbert which probably makes it confusing   In her earlier post PAN thanked sevens (instead of Melbert) for the find.

Yeah I was about to corret pan earlier this evening but I was having dinner with my mom at that time,(playing my cell phone while smiling all the time as she asked what's that about) so I stopped visiting COH then forgot about it later...

Her mother Baria visited a few weeks ago.Now, it's his parents' turn. 

George Clooney and his fiancée Amal Alamuddin had dinner Wednesday with the actor's mother and father, Nick and Nina, at a restaurant in Lake Como, Italy, not far from his villa – at a place the Oscar winner actually hadn't tried before. 


The restaurant, La Colombetta, is located on the site of an old church dating from the 1300s. Run by three sisters since 1990, it has five small separate dining areas that offer guests a lot of privacy. 

The menu is traditional: fish prepared the Sardinian way. (The three sisters, Mariana, Silvana and Lina Peddoni, are Sardinian.) 

The parental visits come as the couple are preparing a very special family occasion – their wedding – which sources have said will likely take place in Italy in September. 

Clooney, 53, often spends time in Lake Como around the Fourth of July. He did so last year, and often welcomes family and friends, including famous pals such as Rande Gerber, Cindy Crawford and Matt Damon, to his Italian home.

I was wondering whether thats Ben's wife too. Don't really remember how she looks except that she is of Chinese descent, and her name's Mei. If that's her, that meanss they're having another child.

   Pretty sure he should have at least 1 kid by now. I never even knew he'd gotten married, till the pics of George, Stacy, Ben and this pregnant lady in Como came out 1 or 2 summers ago, and ppl here said she was his wife. Anyway I did see a TBT pic on Lysa Heslov's instagram of the wives together (including Cindy) on Ben's wedding weekend.

The picture above is a cropped one just of George from the full one way up this thread.
When you crop a close like that the quality
deteriorates and it goes grainy, as you can see.
So the original has been taken on a full zoom lens from a good wat away !

Yep. An enormously expensive piece of camera equipment, a VERY long lens,a very powerful set of binoculars - and as they're not anywhere near Villa l'Oleandra, a fair amount of intrusive behaviour............
