If she's in Barcelona now and the Met Gala is Monday, that doesn't leave very much George time. She'll have to fly back on Sunday at the latest. It's Friday in Barcelona now right? So are they having a quicky in Berlin or Como and then she's up up and away again?

The “Roy”-al Treatment

Rachel Roy is creating a custom Met Ball gown for George Clooney’s girlfriend Stacy Keibler, designed to show off the former wrestler’s killer gams.

The ensemble will include, “studs, a bit of transparency, long sleeves, a super short dress and badass boots,” the designer says.

She worried that Keibler wouldn’t go for long sleeves, but needed them as a counterpoint to the hemline, adding, “I like to work in balance, so if I’m making a tight dress, I’m not going to show a lot of chest.”

Roy will be wearing a jumpsuit and customizing a pair of sandals from her spring line with studs and extra leather panels.

“The shoes do look strong and sexy, but I could never wear them with a short skirt,” fearing the ensemble would be veering toward something more suited to “hookers in Miami.”

Despite this year’s theme, Roy admitted to us she was never a punk music fan—“it’s something I didn’t choose to play when I was picking out music”—but felt empowered by the clothes.

“I was 5-foot-11 by the time I was 12. I got my clothes from Goodwill or the Salvation Army, where I discovered Levi’s 501s for men,” she told us.

“I wanted them ripped — even to this day — like Billy Idol’s. Watching [punk musicians] and their toughness and punkness gave me that same attitude when I wore things I found in the thrift shops.”

Annemarie, you are ever so hopeful and positive about these two. I wish I could have just a wee bit of your positivity right now for my own private resource! I guess I'm just not as nice a person as you are. I'm sorry to say, or maybe it's a good thing, I don't think Stacy's life revolves around whether or not she gets to see George. I think her bottom line depends on it so she makes an effort when need be, but i'd bet if she has to choose between time with him or wearing Rachel Roy's dress to the Met Ball...she's heading for New York very soon. And more power to her!

I don't think her life revolves around George, lol that would be impossible she would never get any work done. I just think she will spend Saturday with him since she is near him and they won't be together on monday. I'm sure your a very nice person we all just see things differently. If we didn't what would we have to talk about.

Watched Vogue's live red carpet thing but some idiot name Hilary--a model-interviewed Stacy and Rachel and, as usual, Stacy didn't talk or get asked much. It was all the designer and they only showed the top half of the dress. The designer looked better at least on the top.

The top half looked a little Joan of Arc. Looking for photos of the bottom. For some reason, Vogue didn't show much of the bottom of dresses except for a few.

I watched the same thing. I think it is a short dress. Not everyone is following the theme or are just doing something token like. I guess "pink" is a punk color? I am sure the TV shows like Extra and E! will talk about it tomorrow.

Yeah Silly Girl, Gwyneth P was definitely not "punking." Disappointed! Think it would be more fun to do the punk thing. Gotta say some of the people that were interviewed, were a clue short of having much of a brain...whoo! Most didn't even know there was an exhibit or what it was about. I guess the point for them is just to go.

I kind of think it's blah. It looks like a short version of her Oscar dress. Kind of disappointed. She does look younger than usual, but agree with you SG. Not that punky really. But compared to some of the others, she's definitely doing more with the theme. Or her stylists did at least.

Jessica Biel looks better than I thought she would. Cammie Diaz...not so much!

PAN Is paracetomol something I can get over the counter? Think pain killers might not be good right now. The pain I can take it's that nausea. Will definitely call tomorrow--have been bugging my dr. but...you know how it is. Have tried ginger tea and pills. Think I'm sort of in a place where those things aren't going to work right now. But not eating for the past few days has made a big diff. I dumped all my natural cures for a bit. Just doing Welches and prednisone. Life is good...ha ha ha!

This ball is a bit of a disappointment...you're right PAN, most are simply just dressing people in their designs and not for the evening's theme! Madonna came through though! She looked pretty darn good for a material girl! And I did love Jessica Alba's look, although it was too pretty to be punk. Brad styled her nicely.

Yep, Madonna got it, but in a sort of embarrassing way. Have no idea, but it looks a bit Vivienne Westwood to me - and to be honest if she can't do it nobody can. Surprising lack of tartan, and frankly a sort of grubby unwashed look. One of us could have really nailed it if we'd worn a old kilt and dirty white vest with swear words written on it. Very tasteful!

Paraetemol is over the counter here in GB, and has the same effect as Aspirin, but without affecting the tummy........give it a go if you can get hold of it........hope you've downed the odd glass of wine....!

Yeah, Madonna did go a bit overboard, but that's her thing right? At least she didn't do some boring ball gown. It is funny how many people/stylists just don't even know what punk is. It was a bit before my time--came in at the end of it or the grunge view of it. Pretty much nobody's hitting it tonight...except Vivienne was a hoot! Did you see her PAN? She was wearing a pic of Bradley Manning, the young whistle blower who's in an army jail right now. She was great!

As of right now, People.com has pictures of 91 different people arriving, many of whom I've never heard of in my life (Karlie Kloss? Who in the what?) And yet, no Stacy. Think she'll make the top one hundred?

All any of these photos prove to me is that I will never understand high fashion. Kim Kardashian looks like she's wearing my grandmother's drapes. Reminds me of the old Carol Burnett Gone With the Wind parody: "I saw it in a window and I just had to have it!" Smile

For some reason she makes me sad for her. Over the past week there have been pics of her with super models and VS models and I guess I can see why she's never really made it as far as modeling. Her body is amazing, or was before she decided to get so thin. Even so, she has a beautiful shape. But her face just doesn't photograph like the others.

Those pics of her with Anne V, for example. I'm not a particular fan of Anne V but she definitely photographs well in the face and has a light about her that shines out in photographs. Stacy just doesn't. It must be really, really hard to be so close but no cigar.

But then, she does have George so what the hell am I saying !
