George Clooney celebrates his birthday in Wernigerode

Now it's out: George Clooney celebrated his 52nd Birthday in Wernigerode. With Matt Damon, Bill Murray and co-producer Grant Heslov he dined atthe Asian specialty restaurant "Orchidea" on Monday night, 6 May. As the restaurant chef Huong Trute revealed, noodle soup with beef and sake was on the menu of the celebrities.

At ten-thirty the Hollywood star, who is currently filming "The Monuments Men" in the Harz, left the restaurant by the back door. About 30 fans and photographers were waiting at the restaurant in the old town to catch a glimpse of the Oscar winner.

And they were rewarded: Clooney signed autographs and thanked them for the congratulations of his numerous followers. The Hollywood stars eventually disappeared into the night and went back to their five-star hotel in Ilsenburg.

There are still more to birthday celebrations to come - Cate Blanchett will on the 14 May be 44 years old and Grant Heslov celebrates on 15 May his 50th Birthday.

Wie Restarant-Chefin Huong Trute verriet, standen Nudelsuppe mit Rindfleisch und Sake auf dem Menü der Prominenten. Gegen halb elf verließ der Hollywood-Star, der derzeit seinen Film "The Monuments Men" im Harz dreht, das Lokal über den Hinterausgang. Etwa 30 Fans und Fotografen warteten um das Restaurant in der historischen Altstadt, um einen Blick auf den Oscar-Preisträger ("Argo") zu erhaschen. Und sie wurden belohnt: Clooney gab Autogramme und bedankte sich für die zahlreichen Glückwünsche seiner Anhänger. Darauf verschwanden die Hollywood-Stars und fuhren zurück in ihr Fünf-Sterne-Hotel nach Ilsenburg. Es stehen noch weitere Geburtstagspartys an - Cate Blanchett wird am 14. Looks like they were waiting for him outside the hotel. The back is usually where garbage is stacked for the day's use until it can be cleared into a dumpster.

His birthdays are now so exclusive, not even his girlfriend Stacey Keibler can find them.
The multi-talented George Clooney celebrated his 52nd birthday on Tuesday evening at the Chinese restaurant Orchidea in Wernigerode, a town buried deep in the Harz mountains of Germany while girlfriend Keibler, 33, partied at the Met ball in New York City.
Joining him were actor friends Matt Damon, 42, and Bill Murray, 62, who are starring alongside Clooney in his newest directorial effort The Monuments Men.

By the time the low-key party was over, word had gotten out the Academy Award-winning producer of Argo was in town celebrating.
As all the famous attendees left in their own separate vehicles, locals and photographers mobbed Clooney as he headed to his car.
Even Damon, who had a much easier time walking to his vehicle, appeared impressed with the attention.
The Descendents star paused long enough to shake a few hands with adoring fans.
Clooney's newest film The Monuments Men tells the harrowing story of a crew of art historians and museum curators unite to recover renown works of art stolen by Nazis before Hitler destroys them.
Also starring in the A-list saturated film is Cate Blanchett, John Goodman and The Artist's Jean Dujardin.

Meanwhile half a world away, the Clooney's model girlfriend was partying in New York City at the annual Met ball, which had a theme of punk for this year.
Keibler was seen walking the red carpet and holding hands with American fashion designer Rachel Roy on Monday evening, as they attended both the PUNK: Chaos to Couture gala and subsequent after-parties.
She wore a metal studded black leather dress with sheer sleeves as well as metal studded heels in an attempt to mix both punk and elegance together seamlessly.
Keibler and Clooney have been dating since 2011

I have to tell you guys, that top photo of George amidst all the garbage was so funny and the subsequent comments by all you ladies. I've been having a bit of a difficult time of late and I'm one of those personalities that has a hard time relaxing and just chilloxing as theminis likes to say. Anyway, I started laughing after I realized poor George was standing in the middle of a "rubbish" pile per Katie's description and found myself feeling much better.

Don't know what I'd do without all you funny people. You are like the best medicine in the world! Thanks for the belly laugh!

I'd imagine he's wearing the tinted glasses for eye protection from the lights flashing. He's been wearing them a lot on location according to all the pictures we've seen.
The style is obviously in keeping with the period for the film.
He's staying in character IMO.

I'm pleased he had a relaxing enjoyable evening on his birthday.

Seems that the yellow-tinted tortoise-shell rimmed glasses are the latest thing - maybe someone bought them for him....

Why do some COH posters insist on criticizing George's celebratory drinking? During various discussions, various members have talked about their getting drunk, tipsy, etc. on such occasions. Frankly, he didn't look(as stated by phy) drunk out of his mind. He was able to walk unattended by Gio, and while Gio did put him into car, he didn't THROW him into it.
Aren't we being a bit sanctimonious with the criticism? If he was tipsy, so what. We are all guilty of that at least once in our lives, if we imbibe at all.
He was celebrating his birthday. There aren't any pics of Matt, Bill or Grant maneuvering from the restaurant to the car, so they were probably, as or more, tipsy. Probably Gio was the only sober one there as it's his job to take care of George.
Psy, if he had been drunk out of his mind, wouldn't he have been legless, and would he have been able to sign autographs.

George's voice in the video is the classic voice of someone who has been drinking but is not a criticism just an observation, it is known that George likes to drink and often exaggerates!
