Don't you know who I am? True Blood's Ryan Kwanten's awkward smile as he is turned away from Oscars party

On Oscars night everyone in Hollywood wants to party. But if you don't have the right invite there is no chance of getting through the door - no matter who you are.

True Blood's Ryan Kwanten was left furious after being publicly turned away from George Clooney's post-Oscars bash at Craig's in Hollywood last night.

The outraged actor at first refused to believe he wasn't going to get inside, getting his handler making phone calls to get people to vouch for him, and claiming the restaurant owner had invited him personally.

But the bouncers weren't having any of it, and refused the 36-year-old entry.

TMZ reported: 'Kwanten's handler even whipped out his cell phone and got someone important on the phone to vouch for him but when he gave the phone to the bouncer, the security guy still wouldn't let him in.

'Eventually, Kwanten and his buddy took the note and walked away but not before the handler asked the bouncer which company he worked for, insinuating that heads would roll over the rejection.' Pictures showed Australian Kwanten smiling awkwardly as he left the event in his tuxedo without gaining entry.

He had earlier had more success as he attended the Elton John viewing party.

There he chatted with stars including Elton and his partner David Furnish, who introduced him to their son Zachary.

Unlike Kwanten other stars were more successful at gaining entry to Clooney's party.

Leading the way was Clooney and his girlfriend Stacy Keibler, who arrived hand in hand.

Clooney's good friend Cindy Crawford was close behind them, arriving with her husband Rande Gerber.

Following the success of Argo, on which Clooney worked as a producer, his party was the place to be seen.

Joining him there was Brian Cranston from the Hit TV series Breaking Bad, who stars in the movie.

Clooney celebrates Oscar win

George Clooney celebrated his Oscar win for “Argo” at a private dinner with pals, including Rande Gerber. After the awards, he headed to clubby LA eatery Craig’s with his gold statue in one hand and statuesque girlfriend Stacy Keibler on the other.

Also at Clooney’s table: Ben Affleck, Gerber’s wife Cindy Crawford, CAA’s Bryan Lourd, producer Grant Heslov and developer Mike Meldman.

Said a spy: “Their Oscars were on the table, and they did shots of [Clooney’s] Casamigos tequila all night.”
