Googling George Clooney

It's often said that we talk more about the current GF than George on here. I think it interesting that the last several days when I google George (oh, god, how I'd love to google him) I get all Stacy news. For example today (below). And, notice how on the first story, Stacy's name is mentioned first and George's last (WTF!!??).

Stacy's getting all the attention, George, none. He's trying not to "be more famous" and she's trying to be more famous. So to me it all works out for him. S'all good!!! Yahooooo

I noticed that too. If you google him then hit news then hit sort by date ----they are mostly all about her ......

He needs to write an article about the Sudan just so that will pop up first....

Yes, write an article about Sudan, get arrested again, something, anything. I think Cindi is right. He wants publicity on his own terms - his causes, award season, etc.

Thanks EEOSandy for pointing this out. When people complain we turn every thread into a stacy thread the issue is that Stacy appears to be the only thing happening with George right now and is relevant to him. Hopefully George will get working on some new projects after the summer and the posts here and on the internet will be focused on him and not his Girl du jour.

I always google Georgie first to see what he's been upto for a quick reference, then check here for all the gos!!! Usually you gals are so prolific, that there's absolutely tonnes of stuff to go thro, so I know which is most recent! And Lela does us proud with all the pics, not forgetting Lavetal, Lux......ok everyone!!!! very much appreciated I'm sure by not only me but us all! love1

Google results do not matter. Hxxl with it. Journalists pick up stuff from the net - makes their job easier.

What is essential here is that : She doesn't make him shine! (look music can!)

Reasons for that can be many ( she is tall for one)...no matter how much gold, saffron and diamond you pour over her it just doesn't happen. What doesn't happen? The chemistry!

But maybe when they are alone they have many things in common, maybe she is fun and interesting to be with...

Take it easy It's Me. George isn't in love with Stacy and this isn't a meeting of souls for eve and a day.

Except that isn't particularly true. There are usually at least one or two new stories about (or tangential to) George but only get a few comments whereas threads that have nothing to do with Stacy get her name dragged in anyway.

It's funny how we never run out of things to write about Stacy even though she isn't doing anything more than George (she has a role hosting a reality programme, he's producing a oscar-bait worthy film) but while Stacy's life is fascinating and every detail needs in-depth commenting, somehow George is 'not doing anything interesting'. How can that possibly be?

The google search results reflects the sad truth of the situation which is that most people are more interested in Stacy than in George. You can see that with this forum too when you look at the threads that are read the most, it's always the ones about the girlfriend. You can see that in the way she gets mentioned in topics that have nothing to do with her. You can even see it in the Daily Mail articles who frame every story around Stacy even though George is the star.

While it's annoying when I see it in the Daily Mail, I get embarrassed when I see it done by his fans too.

He is the most eligible bachelor in the world. His position is status quo. Period. That position means there are certain expectations for him...(mainstream public) and he just can't go around forever saying he hasn't find the right one yet.
None of my business to state opinions about his companion choices.

But it seems (and this is not opinion) that the current one is poisonous to him...

People follow all kinds of things -- just go and take a look at yahoo's finance message boards. One individual stock (or ETF) can have thousands of fans that follow and comment if it's up, down, flat, they analyse stocks soul life and future. Years. So, I don't have a point here but... Very Happy

Joanna : First, I have seen some of the George Clooney films over the years. Not all. I do not watch movies or TV that much in general. I am really picky; there is a long list of movies (not his) I have not watched till the end. And my favourites, but we are not talking about that now.

Second, like I said it is not my opinion. For me it doesn’t make a difference if he said he likes the gipsy culture and moves in to the gypsy village to live in a gypsy tribe and dances to the sunset with a gypsy. (Bizet made an opera about it: Carmen. Arena di Verona is the place to go and see it or Napoli in December. )

Bottom line, he is very, very handsome man. He is equally liked with my friends & their boyfriends and husbands. Somehow she manages to lessen his masculinity…one way or the other it is going to be a problem. I haven’t seen you but probably you would look better by his side. Or he would look better with you by his side.

I have to get up 7.00 o'clock 4 hours 52 minutes to it. I am tired but can't sleep!!!
