It's Me, do you want salads, or cookies, or pies, or cakes, or meat, or potatoes, or drinks? What kind of recipes are you looking for? I'm not trying to be a smartass, just need you to be a little more specific.

Re: Xmas recipe!
I don't cook unless I'm forced to but I have a great recipe for fruit and sangria.
1/2 cup rum
Sangria
various fruits -peaches, cherries, etc.
Stir together with a wooden spoon in a pitcher.
But of course the best part is the rum. Or, you can just drink the rum.

That sounds yummy, it's me, but tricky. Anything that involved two kinds of alcohol with the meat is my kind of cooking.

Re: Xmas recipe!
charley, where did you get my secret family Fruitcake recipe? It was locked in the vault last year after I made the cake. I'm surprised that you would do such a thing as "acquire" someone's most valuable possession, and then put it "on public view". I'm crushed.

ROFL Charley on recipe.
Patty, fruitcake is my absolute favorite Christmas treat. But can't find it in any store. I don't usually tell people that because they look at me like I'm some kind of a nut myself. Well, they're probably right. I don't cook or bake but wish I could find a store that sells it.

Re: Xmas recipe!
Ah, you need to move to England, Cindigirl. There's not a single food or gift shop in the country that doesn't have some form of fruitcake for sale this time of year.
Even though a lot of people don't even like the stuff (particularly when it's lined with marzipan and has that concrete-like icing on top) it's inescapable.

Re: Xmas recipe!
CindiGirl, I love fruitcake too!!! I found one that was almost alright at Albertson's (don't know if you have that grocery store in Jersey) in the bakery department. Wasn't as good at the one that keeps getting passed around the world each year, but a close second!

Re: Xmas recipe!
Hi mel - I checked, no Albertson's in NJ. Thanks anyway.
That's the way things are going for me lately. I went 10 miles out of my way to a dollar store to buy Christmas cards for my family. Bought all 5 for $5.00, got home, wrote my Christmass message to my daughter on my son's card, had to go to Shop Rite for a card for my son - paid $4.00 for one card. Sorry, just had to complain to somebody.

Thanks it's me. Will do. By the way I took your advice about me not being able to give gifts this year to my family and wrote a message on each card. Of course, my daughter's message went on my son's card. Oh well, ces't la vie. Saving daughter's card for next year.
