George Clooney: Sex, Lies & Next Generation
The political view from the Hollywood star: in the movie "The Ides of March," America is not a country for idealists. And if the wind was changing?

"America has never known the age of innocence. Yes, of course, is the country where everyone can make and rebuild their lives. But our model has always been based on the competition. And those in politics is always dirty hands. Always. " He has no doubt, George Clooney. So much so that the end of the innocence of his country's policy has made the film The Ides of March (after the move to Venice and Toronto Film Festival, opens in theaters on 16 December). But in our meeting is ready to speak of love, loyalty, betrayal, envy, struggle, success and failure. All issues, even when they touch the ball more private, always return to the political dimension. Clooney is director and co-star of The Ides of March, in the role of a governor candidate in the Democratic primary. The election campaign, we see through the eyes of a young expert in communication (Ryan Gosling) who is actually the protagonist.

According to his father, a former journalist, she was twelve years old already said: "I want to grow up to be famous." It reminds why?
"To be able to express all my interests, social and artistic. But, above all, political. I thought I was already great. "

As we found in the role of father? Also in The Ides of March compared with a young man, he acts as a guide in the ...
"My father figures are not alone. They are men of 50 years, my age: a moment in life when it is natural to want to leave something of himself as an inheritance. All my political and social commitment is motivated by this: I want to leave a better and fairer world, to young people. In both the movie "doing" is a strong theme: The Ides of March in the vision is more critical in the most private heirs. But in both cases, the characters do not keep their commitments. "

No competition, with Ryan Gosling? I speak as his successor ...
"I am only in competitive sports. Even with the boys. The generational change? It only does well, to me, Ryan and the future of Hollywood. "

Occupy a movement like Wall Street, but not only him, demonstrates the strong return to politics by young people. On the Ides of March is a portrait of her very cynical and pessimistic policy. Will the boys to change "the system"?
"" My "Governor Mike Morris is a traitor: I will not reveal anything, but must take the consequences of his actions. I hope that young people are able to change a policy that, in the end, today is seduction. I always thought that the difference between politicians and actors were minimal. The problem is that the former have a much greater power and responsibility, especially since they all depend on us. Despite the popularity, I have not ever heard Almighty: I also played Batman, but I prefer to express the humanity, the fragility, melancholy. How did your Marcello Mastroianni, actor who I love. "

What is asked today for his work and politics?
"I wish, both Hollywood and Washington are more interested in people's lives. That the films tell real stories. And he thought that those who govern us to solve the real problems of everyday citizens. "

Chapter women. After his relationship with Elizabeth Canalis, from September around the world with Stacey Kelber, blonde, 32 year-old former wrestling champion and manager, an aspiring actress with a degree in Science Communication.
"I've always had good luck with the girls. However, what really matters to me is the clan of friends and girlfriends. They are generous, provided you do not ask me more than I can give. "

Children must be with their peers, in your opinion? Her companions are always young ...
"It's a general rule, which has many exceptions. It depends on the life and the choices you make. My peers and parents have been together for ever: I envy them and admire them. Maybe the right way is to grow together. For me, 50 years is difficult to find agreement with a contemporary to have my own wounds and experiences, including divorce. "

How liberals in relationships and at work?
"You are one hundred percent, but I also have very strong sense of the covenant, the bond. Each report is based on rules that should not be betrayed: the emotional and professional ties, such as policy choices are all-encompassing. You must abide and respect the rules: when you do not do more, means that it's over. "

I am a little confused by this part of the interview. Is he saying that he is 50 years old and it is difficult to find a person his age or contemporary he could share his life with, while remaining an independent person or is he saying at this point in his life, many of his friends and family have had long relationships and he won't find what that have. Question

Also, he definitely calls women he dates girls, I thought the last time I heard him say that on the red carpet it was a slip of the tongue, didn't really mean it. But I think this is how he views the women he dates as girls and they are great girls until they start to ask too much of him and they they have to go. Love6

lelacorb, when was this article dated, or was it from a magazine article? If so, what was the date on the magazine? I haven't seen this one advertised or anything. A french mag?
