It was mostly Eli's friends in the beginning doing all the talking George's pals barely have said anything about this one. I think one comment was made and it was different then the usual George thinks she hung the moon. His pals always leak it when he is getting ready for the split. Stan denying it so fast is what is unusual. According to Kimber Stan made the we are still together comment but Ted twisted it a little. I'm thinking the she is in London now with him bit. She will probably show up over the weekend once she has done all her famewhoring in Cannes. Clearly she doesn't always have security she had none when she went to Gelson's and we have seen pictures of them both separetley for awhile. They must just have the security when they are together which I doubt unless they are around to protect George from Bette. Cause clearly she doesn't have them with her now! I think something is up and the "relationship" is very much on it's last legs. There won't be any happily ever after for Eli not with George. We also know she wasn't with all the time while he filmed the Ides unless she stayed in her hotel and never went anywhere which I don't see her doing. Being there for one weekend doesn't exactly make her with him constantly. We all know she lies just read her interviews and I expect it to continue. I don't think she is making it easy for George but if the boys are saying things are rocky then it's rocky they don't talk without Georges consent.

Stan does comment on George's personal life - he denied the breakup rumours last year too. I think he just says he doesn't comment otherwise he'd be pestered every five minutes for an update and it also gives him an out when he doesn't want to comment!

While I don't think Betty was in London recently (except maybe possibly before Cannes but then why was she supermarket shopping in LA?) I would like to point out that it's less than two hours' flight between London and Cannes. It's not difficult to travel between the two if you wanted to.

Agree with Dexter: the boys say whatever George wants them to. At the beginning of a relationship they all love the new girl and at the end they never liked her. Betty isn't the only one who lies to the media IMO.

Yeah, look at her photos since this broke. Her face has been like thunder on the yacht, even yesterday wearing the white bikini in Daily Mail. She looks very angry!! (sorry, cant post link). True if that's what he's doing it's very immature, if they have been in a real relationship all this time and she has been living at his home in LA when in US., then she has probably thought that this would not happen to her.That seems to be every womans mistake, he lets them into his life, they get use to his friends etc. then they are being broken up with in the press. What is hard for me to understand is don't they see it coming, maybe it's all in hindsight?

Women who approach to George Clooney the man must know where they are getting into. If they don't, they could just google Clooney's GFs and read how he made all the breakups. Same old, same old script. They do know. Same script with Tiger Woods or Charlie Sheen or *cough* Arnold or whoever is such a player. Me, I don't believe they are all so naive. I would think that him not wanting to be pictured with her or have her around while he was working was a pretty good hint things were not going well. We have seen pics where it was clear some of his friends didn't seem taken with her she surely can't be that stupid. I do think she thought she would get more out of it then she has and I don't think she is ready for it to be done. But a girl like her will simply move on and find someone new to pay for her Prada bags. I think they will show up together and it will be awkward as usual. Bellybaby, what I meant by shows her age IMO she looks older than 25 in most of her photos, yes she is young and beautiful, but she is one of those people who will always look their age or older. You wont find people surprised that she is 25.

If Cindy always wears Cavalli that explains why so often she looks the way she does at red carpet events.

I can't help noticing we saw heaps of pictures of George on the set of Ides! So no I don't buy she is always with him but is protected by security guards. Wouldn't it make more sense for her to have security when she goes shopping alone? Or to Cannes? And the whole they were spotted at that park in England. Umm by who? And not a single picture taken? This same sort of thing went on with Lisa her fan club would swear she was always with George when clearly she wasn't cause when she was there were pictures! Same thing here with Eli!

If George had a team of security when he was filming Ides, the press would have written about it as it would have stuck out like a sore thumb in his hometown. He was super low key filming Ides unlike Descendants and American where he did seem to travel with a security pack. Plenty of twitter comments that they ran into him someplace with no comments about excessive security or any security. No way with the level of pap coverage that the filming got (with both George and Ryan in the film) that if she was there and on set regularly, that there wouldn't be a number of shots of her on set that where floating around and published. He was papped going to and from set pretty much every day but there was no Betty travelling with him and his "security team". Looks like someone wants to explain why there are no offical pictures of them together in almost 6 months.

Don't see why she cares to release a statement to this effect - she is getting bucketloads of attention in Cannes whilst parading around in a bikini. It should be a happy time for her - her ass is on display and she is basking in the attention and interest of the awaiting press. This week should be on the joy level of her birthday and Christmas all rolled into one.
