Shooting continued in Wakefield yesterday

Ben Affleck wears retro bowling attire while filming The Tender Bar for director George Clooney

Ben Affleck and George Clooney were spotted Monday filming The Tender Bar in Wakefield, Massachusetts.

The 48-year-old actor wore retro bowling attire as he was seen leaving a bowling alley.

Ben was costumed in a striped shirt, flared denim blue jeans and bowling shoes.


George, 59, was busy at work behind the camera directing the production and also helped arrange the vintage vehicles in front of the bowling alley.

He kept it casual with a grey jacket over a black polo shirt and blue jeans and also covered his mouth and nose with a face mask amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The director and co-producer greeted fans who masked up while while trying to catch a glimpse of the production.

Ben in the movie portrays Uncle Charlie, the owner of the bar in the drama adapted from the best-selling memoir by J.R. Moehringer, 56.

[/size]The Tender Bar was published in 2005 and recounted the author's childhood and coming-of-age experiences at a local bar.

Filming has been taking place in the Boston area for several weeks.

The Tender Bar is being made for Amazon Studios.

Ben and George previously were co-producers on the Oscar-winning movie Argo, which Ben also directed and starred in.
The Tender Bar marks George's eight directorial feature following his 2020 Netflix sci-fi drama The Midnight Sky in which he also starred in.
George made his directorial debut with the 2002 film Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind and his credits also include: Good Night, And Good Luck; Leatherheads; The Ides Of March; The Monuments Men and Suburbicon.

WAKEFIELD, MA — Or should we say, HOLLYWOOD, CA?
OK, not exactly, but Wakefielders were treated to a peek at some movie stars Monday. "The Tender Bar," a movie directed by George Clooney and starring Ben Affleck, was filming in the Wakefield Bowladrome.
