I see George Clooney’s in the news again. Something about being older and wiser and waving goodbye to his heart-throb years. He said that he was asked about his gradual move away from his swoonworthy heyday and towards more serious work behind the camera and replied: “I’m just 25 years older now; I have to go that way.”

Ah yes, dreaded Father Time. Look what he’s done to “Gorgeous George”! Given him two extra wrinkles around those dreamy brown eyes and dropped that soothing vocal burr down another seductive octave. Oh slowly, slowly run, ye horses of the night!
