I don't think any of the properties look remotely like a playhouse now...............

After spending decades as one of the world's most eligible bachelors, George Clooney has splashed out more than a millions dollars on transforming his Los Angeles pad into a family estate.
The former ER star has long owned a property in the trendy Studio City neighborhood.
But since his marriage to wife Amal and the birth of their twins, it seems much work was needed to make the former bachelor pad suitable as a residence.
On Wednesday, aerial photos showed the scope of the ongoing building work that's reported to be adding a play cottage and villas for live-in help.

The Hollywood star, 59, wed the Lebanese-born Amal Alamuddin, 42, in 2014 and they became parents to twins Ella and Alexander in 2017.
In addition to the new buildings, Clooney has also applied to build a funicular or cable railroad, an outdoor pizza oven and a water feature on the property, according to planning documents.
Builders are also putting in a new steel staircase, extending the property's deck with a trellis and revising its windows.

Behind the original property is a tennis court and guest house, which has previously been available for visitors coming to stay at the Clooney's compound.
The original property also boasts an outdoor pool situated near the tennis court and as yet a swimming facility doesn't appear to have been built on the plot for their new home.
Back in February, construction had been well underway with neighbors saying the building work had been going on for months.

He has since added a mansion on Lake Como in Italy and a sprawling four-acre estate on an island in the middle of the River Thames west of London, England, that includes a 17th century home.
In 2016 he sold the compound he shared with close pal and business partner Rande Gerber in Los Cabos, Mexico, for $100 million.

It's hard to tell which building would be a "playhouse" - they all look too big. I think Annemarie is right. Staff housing and maybe a guest house.
Does anyone remember - when they sold the Cabo property weren't they supposed to be building a new compound further away from town? I could swear I read somewhere that they had bought property and had hired a famous architect to design the place.

Lizzy I remember reading about Randy and George ‘supposedly’ building somewhere else in Cabo. But honestly it could have just been conjecture by whoever reported the story.

Not sure if a play house would be completed yet. I think we're all thinking something like a wendy house, but I think it's going to be something similar to what the queen and her sister had when they were young: a two-storey cottage that was just a bit smaller than life-size.
Quite a handy thing for a future monarch to have (though I guess in those days they were only expecting to be nieces of the next king) as apparently they did all the cleaning, tidying and other housework themselves.
Sorry, I think I may have overdosed on royal biographies recently. Apologies for taking this somewhat off-topic.
