George Clooney and his friend Rande Gerber got around social distancing requirements by going out for a drive on Friday.
The old pals both took their classic black sports cars out for a spin around Los Angeles.
The 58-year-old Oscar winner looks sleek and stylish in a classic Porsche Roadster, while the 57-year-old entrepreneur and husband of Cindy Crawford hit the road with a gorgeous Corvette.

On the move: George Clooney, 58, went out for a joyride on Friday with his friend and business partner Rande Gerber, 57
George looked debonair with his closely cropped silver hair and black sunglasses.
He had on a pale blue shirt with the sleeves rolled up and work a navy bandana around his neck in case he had to cover his face. 


Rande wasn't as visible in his Corvette, but he also blocked out the sun with sunglasses and had on a black and white trucker cap as he cruised in his American-made sports car.

George and Rande have been friends for years, and they often spend time together as their wives Amal Clooney and Cindy Crawford, though the women seem to have sat out their afternoon drive.
The old pals struck pay dirt in 2013 when they co-founded the tequila label Casamigos, meaning 'house of friends' in Spanish, with fellow friend Mike Meldman.
Rande revealed to CNBC in 2017 that the idea for the company was sparked when he and the Out Of Sight star were building neighboring vacation homes in Caba San Lucas, Mexico.
Whenever they were both in town, the two would visit bars and sample different tequilas to find the drinks that best suited their palettes.

'As you do when you’re in Mexico, you drink a lot of tequila,' Rande said. 'After a couple of months trying a lot of different tequilas, George turned to me and said, "Why don’t we just make our own? One that’s perfect for us to drink?"' 
The trio sold their tequila to British beverage conglomerate Diageo in 2017 for an astounding $700 million, with an additional $300 possible if the brand performed well through the next decade.
Their liquor joined some of Diageo's other iconic brands, including Smirnoff vodka, Johnnie Walker Scotch, Guinness stout and Moët & Chandon champagne.

Earlier this month, George and his wife Amal were reported to have spent a stunning $112,000 on a playhouse for their children, only a fraction of the $1 million renovations their California home has been undergoing.
According to The Sun, the playhouse will feature running water and include a large toy giraffe the children can ride on.
Adult guests will be able to enjoy a pool designed to look like a prohibition-era speakeasy.

The thread is a wonderful end to my day.  Current or not, so happy to see George Clooney and Rande about the town.  In Los Angeles   He looks great!!!  I wonder if he will be here for his birthday.

George Clooney is in Los Angeles, why would this matter?

it will matter because when he goes home , he will have to quarantine himself for two weeks.Just in

case he has come in contact with someone carrying the virus.

Maybe, Amal and the kids are with him in Los Angeles so they won't be going back too soon.

Lock down for them is much different than for us, just go from one mansion to another.

I think the bandanna around his neck is to cover his face if he is close to other people.

I always see Los Angeles as his home.  And you seem to think the Berkshire property is where George Clooney calls home.  That's really interesting.

I wonder what was important enough to bring him back to LA when they're having such a hard time with the virus - and I really hope Amal and the twins aren't with him. It seems to me they'd be much better off in the UK, which looks like it's handling the situation much better than we are.

I think the last time we saw pics of George and Amal was before the quarantines were put in place.  Who knows how long George has been in LA.  I’m guessing the whole family would try to stay together and limit exposure to outsiders as much as possible.  Maybe bring their nanny and cook with them.  Whether they are in the UK or LA they would have to isolate in place.  So it really doesn’t matter which home they’re in at this time as long as they aren’t co-mingling with outsiders without proper protection.

I think you're right Donna.  George and Amal would want to protect the twins as much as possible and stay together as a family.

You want to get out of the house and do something.  It's been picture perfect weather, very little smog, and NO traffic.  It's a wonderful time to cruise the coast.   Maybe he will do a ride the coast with George Clooney some day.

As a charity fundraiser, George Clooney could offer someone a ride with himself, in his sports car, on the California Coast.
