Sorry, guys, but he's been riding so long I don't think even an accident like this will keep him off motorcycles forever. Once he heals he'll probably be back on his bike - just maybe being a bit more careful.

I think Grant could probably take over George's directing duties - but not his acting. Maybe that's already done - or maybe it hasn't happened yet and he''ll have time to heal before he has to go in front of the camera.

Looks like he won't resume his shooting on set and will get back to London for futher medical evaluation/treatment.

On a lighter note, from the DM pics, we can see that Alexander is already following dad's style and wearing a Casamigos t-shirt.

There's absolutely no way George's back isn't out again. And a pelvic injury, even without a fracture, is incredibly painful.

I'm glad he was wearing a good helmet, and not that toy headgear we'd seen him in before.

I'm to scared to think about what it could have been.  It shows life can change in an instant, I stay prayerful.

After viewing the crash, I have to believe he's in God's hand.  

I've grown to love him without measure and I hope he gets some rest and a speedy recovery.

I read that the film crew was getting ready to wrap up in Sardegna and move on to Rome to finish filming.  From these pics it doesn’t look like  George is able to go back to work.  But who knows.  I would think he would want to see his own doctor to get a more complete assessment of his injuries.  I hope he’s going to be ok with no long lasting repercussions. But as his age most injuries takes longer to heal and sometimes don’t heal completely.

I think almost any new parent who was in an accident like this would think twice about getting on a bike in the future.  George has always come across as a common sense guy.  I also think he sees his life with Amal and his kids his highest priority and responsibility.  I think he might be having second thoughts about riding bikes in the future. Not saying he will completely give up this sport but maybe cut back.

I just can’t keep thinking how damn lucky he was.  He is so fortunate.

Absolutely. Very sweet and undoubtedly perfectly okay for a young man who's currently oblivious. Also note they've got shoes on - so probably walking.

To go back to the injuries, I rather suspect that he wants a check up to see his specialist on the areas of his brain and spine which have very gradually been improving after Syriana. So back to London.

Also think that as there are three directors on this series they can maybe do all the scenes he's not in and carry on filming........

Laglio L’attore ieri mattina si è imbarcato a Olbia su un volo privato e poco prima delle 18 è arrivato sul lago



Ormai c’è poco spazio ai dubbi: ieri pomeriggio George Clooney, la moglie Amal Alamuddin e i gemellini Ella ed Alexander sono arrivati a Laglio, a villa Oleandra.

Nessuno li ha visti in realtà, anche perché la privacy dell’attore americano e della sua famiglia è sacra e loro fanno di tutto perchè venga rispettata, soprattutto quando sono a Laglio.

Però la casa si è animata di colpo dopo che la famiglia al completo era stata fotografata all’aeroporto di Olbia, in un servizio pubblicato dal Daily Mail, mentre prendeva un aereo privato nella mattinata di ieri. Tutti hanno ipotizzato che stesse tornando a casa sua, a Villa Oleandra.

E infatti poche ore dopo, intorno alle 17.45, un van con i vetri oscurati, di quelli che trasportano i vip è stato visto entrare dall’ingresso principale di villa Oleanda. Era seguito da un’altra auto.

I don't know enough Italian to read the article, but I figure if Gio's there so is George. Maybe he can view the dailies and do some editing from Como while he recuperates. Computers make it possible to do things they couldn't have done before.

I have a feeling we won't be seeing him on a bike for some time to come. Can't imagine what this has done for his Syriana injury.

Can't figure out the video: it looks like the car had stopped turning and George drove into it. At 53mph, he says! I still can't get over how lucky he was. Sorry - I know you guys have had a couple of days to digest this and get over the shock.

Cringe worthy.  George definitely had the right of way and the man was over the dividing line.  You probably saw the bike ahead of George’s needing to swerve to avoid the car.  George unfortunately didn’t respond fast enough to get out of the way.

Now there is little room for doubt: yesterday afternoon George Clooney, his wife Amal Alamuddin and the twins Ella and Alexander arrived in Laglio, at Villa Oleandra.

No one has actually seen them, because the privacy of the American actor and his family is sacred and they do everything to be respected, especially when they are in Laglio.

But the house suddenly came alive after the whole family was photographed at the airport of Olbia, in a report published by the Daily Mail, while taking a private plane yesterday morning. Everyone speculated that he was returning to his home in Villa Oleandra.

And in fact a few hours later, around 5.45 pm, a van with the darkened windows, of those carrying the VIPs, was seen entering the main entrance of Villa Oleanda. He was followed by another car.

Having past injuries myself, I know once broken an injury remains forever like a crack in a China cup....Katie referred to it earlier...

Water was my saviour (plus an amazing Doctor).... nothing washes fear away like a warm pool of water....he has a pool in Como....This might do the trick....

Just walking with tenderness through the pool gives the body a healing.... like they do with horses....

So maybe Como is not so bad...

Have a feeling the trip was always planned in between the shoots in Sardinia and Rome. I couldn't see him NOT going to Como in the summer......the odd firework display this weekend I think

I don't know about fireworks since they usually watch from on board a boat. The way he was climbing those stairs I don't think he is any condition to get on a boat. 

He probably went to Oleandra to rest and recuperate. Maybe, Grant is handling the filming in Rome and George will join them once he is better.

I thought the Como fireworks coincided with the U.S.’s July 4th celebration?  Was that just a coincidence in the past?  

I thought about what PAN mentioned.  Como’s closeness to Switzerland.  Possibly he is seeing a specialist for his injuries.  Remember when he slammed his hand in the car door one summer?  I thought he visited a Swiss doctor at that time.

At the very least he looked really sore in the pics from the airport.  The bruising to his leg and pelvis could be pretty serious.  Agree annemarie.  Maybe he just needs some Rest to recover.

Ladybug, we don’t have any new info on George’s injuries. Without having much information it’s easy to speculate.  I don’t want to speak for it’s me but like all of us we are just really concerned about how George is doing.

Well. today is Bastille Day so maybe they'll be treated to fireworks again. Maybe they can see them from the house so George won't have to climb onto a boat to watch. If not, it isn't that important. He's seen fireworks before.

I wonder if Nick and Nina are with them. Seems like they didn't fly back with them, so they might have stayed in Sardinia or flown home when George left. I would think they'd want to stay close for a few days, at least, just to be sure he's ok.
