A Olbia da giorni non si parla d'altro: la nuova fiction tv, "Comma 22", diretta da George Clooney, potrebbe essere girata nell'aeroporto dismesso di Venafiorita.
Un'ipotesi che suscita grande entusiasmo a livello locale, dove si farebbero senz'altro sentire in termini di indotto, e non solo turistico, le ricadute dell'avvio dell'importante lavorazione.
A sostenere la candidatura della Gallura a sede della produzione cinematografica tutte le Istituzioni, seppur ad oggi ci sia ancora una grande prudenza (la decisione definitiva dovrebbe essere presa entro un paio di settimane), rotta solo dal post pubblicato dal sindaco di Olbia Settimo Nizzi in cui il primo cittadino è ritratto insieme ad un sorridente George Clooney.
"Come è noto – spiega nel post Settimo Nizzi - in questi giorni l'attore e regista George Clooney è in visita a Olbia per valutare alcune location che si presterebbero bene a rappresentare la sua ultima opera, attualmente in fase di sviluppo.
Ho avuto il piacere di incontrarlo e scambiare con lui diverse impressioni. È rimasto colpito dalla bellezza della nostra terra, della quale aveva un grande ricordo".
"Spero vivamente – prosegue quindi il sindaco - che questo suo sopralluogo porti la nostra città al centro anche dello scenario cinematografico.
Sarebbe un'occasione incredibile di visibilità per la Gallura e per tutta la Sardegna, nonché un'interessante finestra sullo sviluppo di un settore al quale siamo sempre stati molto attenti".
La miniserie tv cui lavora George Clooney nella triplice veste di produttore esecutivo, regista e attore, articolata in sei episodi è tratta dal libro antimilitarista di Joseph Heller, "Comma 22" scritto nel 1961.

I don't know Donna, it's something different in these pictures. There's a countenance in his look, that I have not seen in a long, long time. Just my thoughts.

Maybe, he is looking for a place to stay in while filming , he would need the room for Amal and the kids as well. That way he wouldn't have to travel to Laglio to see them.

That makes sense annemarie. I wonder when George and company will begin filming. My guess would be that he might be planning to start production right after summer in Como. Or could he be planning as soon as April and try to finish filming by end of June??? Hmmmm ..... any guesses ....

This project is a professional commitment. I would think any vacation plans would take a back seat to the shooting schedule - which is dependent on the availability of many people, not just George's wishes.Donnamarie wrote:That makes sense annemarie. My guess is that he's looking for a place to rent while they're shooting - especially if they are going to be in one place for a while. That way he doesn't have to go to Como or anywhere else to see his family. They can come and stay with him.

Well, whenever it is, it's only an hour and a bit back to Como.
