Although it's a bit of a cringe-making term, my most adorable celeb couple goes of course without a shadow of a doubt to (my!) Javier Bardem and Penny Cruz, Both Spanish hotties, very talented actors, very sexy, funny, intelligent, very real and normal, and - the biggie - very in love, it leaps off the page. Add a little Javi-Penny baby to the mix, well, just icing on the adorable cake.

G&B are a lot of things - some of them quite interesting - but adorable, never.

26-year-old model turned prostitute Karima Menad claims in her testimony that George Clooney’s girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis, snorted coke with her while partying at The Club in Milan in 2007. Menad is currently testifying against the owners of The Club.

“We were in The Club and it was December 2007,” Menad continued. “We had been at a party of some famous, rich celebrity whose name I cannot remember. I don’t remember who brought the drugs but we all took it.”

“Their job [Karima and others] was to encourage these customers to drink alcohol as to increase the table’s bill, followed up by sex off premises,” Di Maio stated in the documents. “They were often given cocaine for free by those who want to sit at a table of famous people…they want the visibility that comes from being seated at a central table, and to be seen with models, or celebrities from fashion, entertainment and sport.” (Us)

Gasp! A model did coke in 2007? That is shocking, just, shocking! I used to think so much more of Elisabetta. I bet she smokes weed too and has premarital sex. Oh, she’s going straight to hell.

George Clooney's girlfriend, Italian model Elisabetta Canalis, is being investigated after a witness says she saw Canalis snorting cocaine at a Milan nightclub in 2007.

According to 26-year-old model-turned-prostitute Karima Menad, Clooney's girlfriend took the drug twice while partying at The Club, which is currently under investigation.

"I remember taking cocaine with Elisabetta Canalis and two others," Menad told prosecutors in 2008 in documents obtained by Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.

At the time Canalis, 31, was not yet romantically involved with Clooney; she began dating the actor in 2009.

"We were in The Club and it was December 2007," Menad continued. "We had been at a party of some famous, rich celebrity whose name I cannot remember. I don't remember who brought the drugs but we all took it."

Menad's testimony emerged after prosecutor Frank Di Maio used it as part of his official request to have the owners of The Club held in custody as the inquiry continued.

Another famous Milan hotspot, Hollywood, is also under investigation after patrons were secretly filmed using drugs in the restrooms.

According to RadarOnline, Menad's testimony allowed prosecutors to seize and shut down the nightclubs on July 26 and put five of the main offenders under house arrest.

Women were previously brought into the nightclubs to entertain customers at the private tables, Radar reports.

"Their job was to encourage these customers to drink alcohol as to increase the table's bill, followed up by sex off premises," Di Maio stated in the documents. "They were often given cocaine for free by those who want to sit at a table of famous people…they want the visibility that comes from being seated at a central table, and to be seen with models, or celebrities from fashion, entertainment and sport."

Canalis and her agent could not be reached for comment.

Last night's episode was their Christmas one and SHE WAS NOT IN IT!!!!! Yeah!!! Sorry, she would have ruined the Christmas spirit of the show! From what I understand and from the preview at the end of last night's show, she'll be in the finale on the 19th. It's 2 hours and the group is supposed to take over a country. So, Lucy, you didn't miss her last night!

I care because she said in one interview (don't remember which one) about being a role-model for girls *cough**spit**choke*, and todays youth have enough bad role-models!! Also, I know that George has admitted to dabbling in drugs in the past, but he doesn't need this on his back. Especially if she's continuing to use. With her looking rather ghastly in those last photos we had, makes a person wonder??!!

Yep, they NEED to be seen together. Not adorable. Babies are adorable to some. An couple in their 80's cuddling up can still be adorable. But a 50 year old with a woman who is young enough that he could have fathered her? Nope not adorable in my eyes. Also the lack of "sparks" (sorry Alfonso) also drags them out of the adorable category. They just seem mis-matched and distant when in public - especially the last several times they've been papped together.

What is going on? I thought I commented on it, but apparantly not. It was announced she was taped 5 episodes. She's been in 3 (I think) - even though they were kind of walk-on bit parts and she only interacted with Hutton. Next week's 2 hour Leverage really is just 2 episodes run back to back. So technically she's "co-starred" in 5 episodes.

Casey, I would consider it more of a walk-on. I'm no expert, but she's had very few scenes and mainly with Tim Hutton. She's there, does a short scene, then gone. Maybe only a couple scenes per show. I think that the last two episodes might have a little more of her (or at least longer camera time). I wouldn't really call her a substantial supporting part, although her role is that of a somewhat mystery-type and it is supposed to be the crosswalk to their confrontation with this arch enemy of the team. Actually I do like the show, and was watching it prior to Elisabetta's appearance. She is just so wooden in her acting. If she's just standing there, okay I guess, but if there's any walking, movement, etc., nope, she ain't got it. JMHO!! I hope this helps. Laughing

Like, is it obvious that they just came up with a character just so they can have an excuse to hire her, or does the character fit in with the overall premise of the story?

I also watched the show before Betty, not every episode, but I like it. Betty,s role could of been written just to do someone a favor, or a trained actor could of taken this small part & made something of it. IMHO Betty's not an actor & didn't do the series any favors .

No not adorable, my favorite G&B photo so far is the 4th of July boat pic with G's arms around B.It makes me have hope that they might just be for real. Most of there photos seem posed even when they try to be affectionate. But my all time G&B photo moments has to be LFF the two of them walking into after party Betty giving George the if looks could kill stare.

Last month, Italian showgirl Elisabetta Canalis, interviewed in the popular talk show “Che tempo che fa” revealed some fun details about her life with Hollywood star boyfriend George Clooney in Los Angeles.

In girl-next-door persona, Elisabetta talked about her “normal” day to day life as Clooney’s girlfriend and the latest development in her career.

Right at the beginning of the interview, presenter Fabio Fazio pointed out that Canalis once said that Italian men have more savoir-faire than Americans and asked what happened to change her mind.

The model and showgirl replied that “the person in question”, George Clooney, is in many ways more Italian then she is: she tells us that her partner is in love with Italy, knows things about the country that many Italians do not and likes to travel around small Italian towns by himself from time to time.

Fazio continued asking about her private life: “Tell us everything about your life and let us dream! Make it up, if you want!” “We have a red carpet leading to our front door” she teased him, but after an initial attempt to describe a ordinary life with George Clooney flipping burgers on a barbecue, she mentioned the occasion when former UN Secretary Kofi Annan came to dinner with his wife and mother-in-law, and former baseball player Buddy Harrelson!

Asked how Americans view Italy, Elisabetta said that they think it is a beautiful, wonderful place and that when she tells people that she is Italian, they exclaim, “How wonderful!” Towards the end of the interview, popular actress and comedian Luciana Littizzetto, joined Fazio and Elisabetta Canalis giving a decidedly more spicy flavour to the interview.

With her great sense of humor Luciana Littizzetto had rather less discrete questions for Canalis, much to the feigned embarrassment of Fazio. She wondered what particular phrase Elisabetta used to conquer the Hollywood heartthrob, Clooney: Did she perhaps say, “Do you like pasta with sardines? I’m yours!”? The comedian, after trying to pry out some more funny details about their love life, jokingly wondered whether Clooney also gets up to go to the bathroom at night or, like most men, has a bad breath when he wakes up.

Great fun! Thankfully I read the main points in English first. Not knowing the language it seemed as if little was said about Wedding planner, Leverage,& San Remo,but almost 22:00 mins. questions about GC. That must get annoying after awhile no matter what kind of relationship you have with him GF, friend, co-worker, etc. no matter what you do it's all about George. Thats why I was watching!

If I'm not mistaken her character was SUPPOSED to be more substantial but when they realized how talentless she actually is and that her accent made her English completely impossible to understand, they cut it down to the bare bones and that part went from 5 episodes which probably had more lines and air time to 3 episodes of getting her on and off as quickly and painlessly as possible and still salvage the show.

More of a walk-on. Even when she delivered her "punch line" (something like "they fell for it, are going after Moreau by themselves so we are left out of it," they had her walk to a window and turn her back to camera. She could basically read her line off-camera. That meant no need to worry about her facial expression and the line could be re-recorded as many times as needed.

When all is said and done, she might be in 5 episodes (by counting the 2 hour finale as 2 episodes). Her total on camera time for the 3 episodes already aired is probably less than 10 minutes out of the 130 minutes (assuming 50 minutes of show for each hour slot.) And 10 minutes might be generous.

I have no proof but I still think Leverage folks thought she was a better actor than she is. Whether they knew or not, I believe George worked hard to broker a deal for her. Again I have no proof - just that there are too many people in Hollywood who would have loved a part on Leverage because it's a job and who are much better actors than she is.

@Merlin - I wonder if Betty's figured that out or if she still thinks she's getting covers and interviews and gigs based on her own talent and fame. As with all his other girlfriends, I suspect her that until George her fame had just about run its course. Maybe Cavelli would have invited her to his show but I doubt she would have needed his outfits. She surely wouldn't be able to afford her shoe and handbag habit without George's name being linked to hers as a partner.

These are some new photos of George Clooney in LA yesterday, riding around on his motorcycle with his (boy)friend. Clooney has been in LA for a little while now, which comes as a surprise to me - I thought he was back in Italy, having crazy, kinky sex with Elisabetta Canalis, something involving whips and handcuffs and broken bones. But no, they’re in LA. People Magazine even had a friendly little piece of PR about the couple that sounds like it came from Elisabetta:

The pair walked in holding hands, and once seated, shared lettuce cups, egg rolls, chow mein and orange chicken, as well as some chardonnay and sake. “They laughed a lot throughout their meal, and continued holding hands,” a source tells PEOPLE, adding that Clooney was “a great tipper.”

When I read “They laughed a lot throughout their meal, and continued holding hands,” I thought for sure the source was Canalis. Then when I read that Clooney is a “great tipper” I knew for sure that it was Canalis!

Seriously, how much does Clooney look like the poster boy for midlife crisis on this bike?

He can get around it though. He may get asked the question he rarely answers and the interviewer moves on. He can also make it clear like alot of them do that he won't talk about his private life like a lot of them do. I think it is just an excuse not to do interviews and I think it is backfiring on him. People aren't getting to see him outside of his films so they don't connect with him. I don't know of any celeb who doesn't do some sort of promotion. Having a new girl on his arm gets him attention but as has been shown it can be the wrong sort.

Eli just looks mean there and the other girl is cuddling a little baby. Chi is normally all over Eli. Is this good publicity for the up coming San Remo gig? Why do they have to be friends if they are just co hosting or is it the drama they want? A cat fight on the stage between the two? Beginning to think Eli is still in Italy still no sightings in LA except that one dodgy one. Not so sure she would want to leave the other girl in Italy getting lots of publicity.

From what others have said it she hadn't shown up in the big finale it wouldn't have been missed. I have started watching Leverage we have been having mini marathons every sunday and I have been watching. We are just about up to this series now so I expect it too return soon. It sounds more like a cameo then a proper role and I really can't seen any other reason then her being George girlfriend as the reason she got the role. Someone else could have made it really good but they haven't even asked her back next season which i think she hoped for. Going by her interview with Tim Hutton. I'm sure she would have jumped at the chance but her lack of skill and accent just isn't worth the trouble to them. I hope she has gotten the hint and sticks to Italian TV is doesn't seem like offers have been flooding in to her, no matter what her PR is trying to portray!
