The project will be directed by 'The Lobster' helmer Yorgos Lanthimos.
Kirsten Dunst has landed her next TV role.
The actress, who earned an Emmy nomination for her performance in season two of Fargo, is attached to star in an hourlong dark comedy exec produced by George Clooney and Grant Heslov, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
In the early stages of development at AMC, On Becoming a God In Central Florida is a described as a darkly comedic story about the cult of free enterprise and one woman’s relentless pursuit of the American dream in the early '90s. Dunst would play Krystal Gill, a minimum-wage Orlando water park employee who is recently widowed and has been left with nothing. Krystal lies, schemes and cons her way up the ranks of Founders American Merchandise — the cultish, flag-waving, multibillion-dollar pyramid scheme that took her down in the first place.
The project was written by Robert Funke and Matt Lutsky, with The Lobster helmer Yorgos Lanthimos attached to direct. The trio will exec produce with Clooney, Heslov and Dunst. Clooney and Heslov's Smokehouse Pictures will produce with Sony’s TriStar Television and AMC Studios.

For Dunst, the project comes after her acclaimed performance in Fargo, which marked her first series regular role. She currently can be seen in the historical drama Hidden Figures. Her other recent TV work includes a 2014 episode of Portlandia.
For Clooney and Heslov, who signed an overall TV deal with Sony in June, their TV slate also includes America’s Most Admired Lawbreaker, based on the serialized Huffington Post article by journalist Steven Brill that is being adapted for the small screen by Making A Murderer filmmakers Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos.
The project also marks a reunion for Clooney and Dunst. The actress recurred on the third season of Clooney's medical drama ER.

Certainly sounds interesting. I like Kirsten Dunst. I know it was a 'thing' a while back to not like her - can't remember why now.
I'm assuming that as Exec Producer, George doesn't have much to do with this, though?
