I first had to find out what USAID is because I'd never heard of it. So Wikipedia says that USAID works in several areas in the world but not in Syria - which I find quite astonishing because this surely is a region which needs help desperately.

I'm sure if there is corruption within the IRC, they will find out and solve this problem. I also read that USAID isn't uncontroversial since it's accused of spying and taking political influence within the countries they work at. Which of course doesn't mean that they are not allowed to accuse other organisations.

Thanks PAN. Assume George is aware of this investigation considering the amount of money and support he has given the IRC. This doesn't bode well for IRC's respected reputation in the humanitarian community. Hope this gets cleaned up quickly.
