George Clooney loves £10k a bottle diner
GEORGE Clooney loves dining at a tiny Italian restaurant near his new home which serves £10,000 bottles of bubbly.
By Jimmy McCloskey, Exclusive / Published 28th February 2016
The Oceans Eleven star, 54, has become a regular at Pazzia Trattoria in Ascot, Berks, since he and wife Amal, 38, moved in down the road.
A-list pals Brad Pitt, 52, and Angelina Jolie, 40, have been among his guests.
And if the Hollywood heart-throb fancies splashing out, Pazzia offers 1907 Gout Americain champagne – “a rare and unique champagne that was once destined for officers of the Imperial Russian Army”.

BOTTOMS UP: £10k champagne on menu at Pazzia
The bottles spent eight decades under the sea when the Swedish schooner transporting them, the Jonkoping, sank in the Baltic in 1916.
The booze is so special that diners who order it must sign a disclaimer promising to pay a £5,000 fee even if it is “corked” or spoiled.
And if megastar George, who has a new home just down the road, is not in the mood for fizz, Pazzia also serves bottles of red and white wine for up to £1,350 a pop.
A waiter at Pazzia said: “We have lots of celebrities who come here but the most famous person I’ve ever served is George.
“He brings Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie with him and they’ve been between ten and 15 times, so they obviously like the food.
EXPENSIVE: It's described as a rare champagne that was destined of Russian Army officers
“But I don’t get starstruck. We treat all our customers the same.”
Pazzia is a short distance from George’s £10million pad, The Mill House, on an island in the River Thames at Sonning Eye, which straddles the BerkshireOxfordshire border.
Other celebrities living in the upmarket area include Sir Bruce Forsyth, 88, new Top Gear host Chris Evans, 49, and Jeremy Kyle, 50.
Sorry, but I have a very hard time believing that he's been there with Brad and Angelina 10-15 times.

Couple of 'facts' here that are anything but.
The restaurant name is wrong. Sonning is not just down the road. Oh, and only know of one or two times George and Brad met there. There were pix of George and Brad leaving. That's not to say of course that they don't meet there loads of times, but I'm not convinced.

This just seems like an incredibly hyped up article. I mean if they can't even get the restaurant's name right .....
One can wonder if George has ever been there.
And if he has I doubt Brad was there too.
Seems more like a flaming advertisement for the restaurant's wine/champagne collection.

Or somebody wants the readers that George lost contact to the 'normal people'. I can imagine him to order such an expensive bottle of champagne but this article sounds so weird... nope.

Re: George Loves $10,000 Bottle Diner
The article does not claim that he bought it, just that the restaurant offers such a bottle. For americans the difference between "dinner" and "diner" is also humorous. A diner with a $10,000 bottle of wine?
