That is crazy, I think that is why she and George live away from London so they can have privacy and peace.

Hmm... how did they know she was there? She must have arrived at her office numerous times during the last two months, but there has been zero pap photos. Could it have something to do with designer outfits that needs to be photographed?

They knew she would be there because in the announcement of the press conference all the lawyers who would be attending were listed.

Ah, thanks, annemarie. I've been wondering about the deals with the designers when they lend her outfits. (Which I assume they do, since she has so many expensive clothes that she wears only once.) So, to ensure that the outfits are photographed, I would guess that she sometimes inform the paps.
But maybe I'm wrong, I don't know very much about that part of life :-)

The paps knew she'd be there at a certain time so they just needed to wait...

The media scrum is there because the press conference was announced by Nasheed's PR people on Friday when he landed at Heathrow. So any outlet with an interest could apply to Doughty Street International to be there.
Of course the fact that all the agencies were outside is a consequence of that, but on the up side online media like People and Popsugar are actually publishing facts about the case so that's a plus.
There will be quite a lot of coverage of the outfits etc, but I guess that could be looked at as 'soft' legal PR. The outfits lead people to the facts so it's a positive. Wonder if Stan has stipulated that to any of his contacts.............

I'm sure she gets given a lot of outfits (without even needing to ask). A friend of mine who used to be in fashion PR says that the designers send off outfits to celebrities in the hopes that the celeb will wear it and be photographed in it. They don't generally do deals with the designers and promise to be photographed although of course if a celeb has a good working relationship with a specific designer, they will talk about picking an outfit for a special occasion where they will be photographed.calypso wrote:I've been wondering about the deals with the designers when they lend her outfits.
