You’ll Never Believe Who George Clooney Picked As Godparents!


George Clooney and his wife Amal are ready to have a baby — so much so, that Dish Nation has exclusively learned he’s already picked out the godparents to his unborn child.
The actor has reportedly asked his good buddy Rande Gerber and his supermodel wife Cindy Crawford to take on the title, even though Amal, 37, isn’t even pregnant yet.

“Thats how keen he is to start a family,” a source close to the couple dished.
“He’s asked his best friends to be godparents before their little one has even been conceived.”

As Dish previously reported in March, George didn’t think he had the desire for fatherhood until he met Amal.
“George never thought he’d find, and marry, someone like Amal. So already things are happening he never thought possible,” the source said.
“And there’s something about the idea of creating a part of the two of them together that would live on forever that appeals to him.”

Rande and George have been friends for 20 years and also became business partners when they launched the award-winning Casamigos Tequila.
They are so close they own houses next door to one another in their beloved vacation spot of Cabo San Lucas.
So when George asked them “of course they said ‘yes’” the insider said.

“They actually discussed it all during one of their Mexico vacations recently. Amal rolled her eyes because it came up when they were drinking, but she’d love for them to have the honor if the pregnancy happens.”

In the past George has said “[having kids] is not high on my list” of priorities but admitted he has “thought about it” and that “it’s the biggest responsibility you can have.”
Now he’s been married — a miracle in itself since he had been branded the eternal bachelor — for almost a year and just turned 54-years-old.
“It’s now or never to be honest,” the source said.
“Rande and Cindy think he would make a great dad and they tell him all the time.”

"Godparents" is kind of a catch-all term for "important people in our child's life/people who will raise the child if something happens to us". It's not as religious a term as it used to be.  Not that I believe a single word of the story, of course.  In fact, he literally just told Charlie Rose a few months ago that he "hadn't really thought about" having kids, the exact opposite of what this article is claiming. But, now that's he's married, he can enjoy the same gossip cycle as every other famous married couple: DIVORCE!/SHE'S PREGNANT!/ HE CHEATED!/DIVORCE!/SHE'S HAVING TWINS! - rinse and repeat.

Just remember, a few measily months before the engagement, he gave the old
" marriage, naw" routine.
