Bill Murray’s Very Murray Christmas special coming to Netflix

Guests to include George Clooney, Chris Rock, Jason Schwartzman, Jenny Lewis, and Miley Cyrus

Frank Cross is back. Well, not really, but it’s close. Bill Murray has announced a new Netflix Christmas special dubbed, oh so appropriately, A Very Murray Christmas.
Said to be an ode to variety shows of the past, the special is being written by Murray alongside Mitch Glazer and Sofia Coppola, the latter of whom will also direct. The meta-story centers around Murray hosting a TV show and being worried that a massive New York City snowstorm will keep his celebrity guests from making it to Gotham’s Carlyle Hotel for the event. Of course, with a little Christmas magic, it all comes together with a bit of “dancing and singing in holiday spirit.”
The initial guest list is pretty impressive: George Clooney; Paul Shaffer; Amy Poehler; Julie White; Dimitri Dimitrov; Michael Cera; Chris Rock; David Johansen; Maya Rudolph; Jason Schwartzman; Jenny Lewis; Phoenix’s Thomas Croquet, Christian Mazzalai and Laurent Mazzalai; Frederic Moulin; Rashida Jones; Miley Cyrus, and more.
